I can’t begin to tell you how much I adore this sweet little place after one visit. When you walk in the door, you’re greeted with, «Welcome to The Table.» I can only describe the style as a bistro walks into Ikea. The food is delicious and the presentation was a little more upscale than we expected.

It’s hard not to like this little place. The owners are very nice and they do a great job on the presentation of the food. The soup of the day, a pumpkin bisque, was delicious. The two entrees, a pasta and a Thai shrimp and grits, were good though not quite as amazing as the soup. I’d love to go back again.

Cute, clean, quiet little place and super friendly(but not overwhelming) staff. Everything we tried was delicious and unique. Portion was generous enough for me to get stuffed after a cup of soup and an entrée. Plating was very nice too, and it is quite obvious the food is done with much faith and a conscience, for example, the gluten free and dairy free dishes are clearly marked; flowers displayed on the tables are freshly picked, and it seems you can expect something different each time. Although they seem to have only 2 people working there(1 chef, 1 girl as both the server and cashier), it didn’t take anything longer than 10 – 15 min to have our dishes ready. I was amazed by how efficiently this place ran. Overall it was a very fine dining experience compared to what we paid. Can’t wait to come back.

The food here was just alright and I wish it was so much better. The place is really cute and the one girl working as the cashier and server was really friendly which added a star to my review. However, I got the arugula and basil pesto pasta with an add-on of grilled Mahi-Mahi and the soup of the day which was a Japanese pumpkin offering. Sounds good right? Well: 1. The pasta was bland and overly buttered with little to no sauce. It was completely flavorless. I had to throw it in a pot and add two different types of cheese, salt, and pepper just to finish eating it. I couldn’t even throw it away because I was starving and needed to make the most out of what I had. 2. The fish was borderline dry, thus chewy and had a decent flavor profile. So I drizzled some teriyaki sauce on it to add back the moisture it was desperate for. 3. The soup was just overly sweet. It had a one note sweet taste with nothing else going on for it. I know pumpkins are naturally sweet and maybe the Japanese varieties are sweeter than ours and possibly I’m not used to that so I’ll go ahead and give it a pass. It wasn’t bad but it definitely wasn’t that good. Overall: super cute building, nice food concepts, terrible execution. I don’t know what the problem really is but do hope they work it out over time.

What a rare gem. All my Unilocalers are spot on with the reviews. Restaurant is hard to find from the street. We had to turn around when looking for it. It’s located at the bottom & in the back of a modern apartment building. Parking is on the side or back, no front parking therefore it’s was hard to find the place. Bit it was worth every effort. Order at the counter, check out the daily specials, get your drinks, take a seat, & the food will be taken to your table. Presentation was gorgeous, portion more than adequate, price was very reasonable, and taste was balanced, refreshing, and somewhat addictive due to the sauces, spices, ingredients. We really enjoyed the squash bisque soup, chefs salad, shrimp & grits, flounder almondine special, & basil pesto alfredo w/shrimp pasta. The place has opened for 1 year. I can’t believe we just found out about it. Our daughter goes to UGA, so we taker her out every chance we get & try new places based on Unilocal reviews. I will definitely visit this place again. Nice owners/folks.

Very nice bistro. Clean and nice atmosphere. Very nice owners. I got there after 7PM so I was the only customer. I had the acorn squash soup and crab stuffed Cajun grouper. Very good and presented well. Rice was a bit salty to me. They play Frank Sinatra, Kenny G type music in the background. They cater to customers who are gluten free and dairy free. I would eat here again if I’m in the area.

The Table Bistro was my FIRST restaurant in Athens, GA. I’m so glad I got a chance to try this place during my spontaneous visit to Athens. The Table Bistro is a cute, family-owned restaurant. They really make an effort in providing excellent service. The chef is also very friendly and personable as well. They use high quality, fresh ingredients and their presentation is on point. I went with a group of people and was able to try several items. I recommend the Asian chili pasta, Blackened Wasabi Mahi Mahi Sandwich, and Creole Shrimp & Grits. The asian chili pasta is made with vegetables, fettucinne noodles, and their sweet chili sauce. It had a nice balance between sweet and spicy. I eat pretty spicy so while I find it an enjoyable spice-level, others might find it super spicy. Their Creamy Basil Arugula Pesto is made with Arugula, Basil, Pine nuts, Garlic, Parmesan Cheese, and Olive Oil. I really liked how it did not feel heavy, but found it slightly lacking in pesto flavor. I had a cup of their vegetable soup which came out with thinly sliced baguettes. Simple, but good for a cold/chilly day. The Blackened Wasabi Mahi Mahi Sandwich really took me by surprise. The balance between the flavors of the jicama cilantro slaw, arugula and their wasabi lemon aioli is just mouth-watering good. The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of is their bun. I didn’t know how I would feel about their Creole Shrimp & Grits. However, it was actually REALLY good. Do try this one. I was able to try three of their desserts including the Cheesecake Ganache, Key Lime Tart, and their homemade Reese’s pie in their mason jar. The Cheesecake Ganache was my favorite out of the three. Not too sweet and delicious. Their Key Lime Tart tasted more like a key lime pie with a cheesecake base. The homemade Reese’s pie was a bit sweet for my taste, but nevertheless very good as well. Great service, Great food, Budget friendly!!! I’ve only been here once, but I hear from others their food is consistently good(Very important). The bathroom is also very clean with Nice, Soft toilet paper that is friendly on your tush. haha. They even have a baby changing table in the bathroom. I don’t have a baby, but it’s not often when you find one in smaller restaurants.

This place is a solid 5 star! I have introduced The Table Bistro to a good many of my friends and co-workers and I haven’t had a single person say that is was anything less than amazing. The portion sizes are perfect and the family that owns it are so nice! It is refreshing to see this sort of restaurant in Athens.

A friend knows the Korean family that owns it and recommended this place to me. I’ve been here many times since it opened earlier this year and love introducing it to my friends. I have tried the shrimp and grits multiple times as well as creamy basil arugula pesto, horseradish steak and caramelized onion sandwich, and something else I can’t remember what that I don’t see on the menu anymore… but I have loved every entrée I’ve tried. The only thing I didn’t love was the squash casserole, but it’s been a while and I haven’t tried it again to see if it changed. Overall, the Table Bistro is affordable, has good portions, distinct and flavorful dishes, and the presentation is on point. I love the décor at this restaurant, it looks Pinterest-inspired with the crate shelves and chalkboard look. The natural lighting during the day makes pictures look great too, which is important to me because I hate it when restaurants have dim lighting and I have to brighten the lighting for my pictures. The owner is very friendly and recognizes me whenever I come, so I am always excited to see her. Can’t wait to introduce more friends to this place! Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t been yet. :)

Well worth finding this place very good food. I had a blackened mahi-mahi sandwich which was very good. I wish it had a bit more wasabi and spread more evenly, but splitting hairs now. I added a cup of soup which was ok, I thought it needed some more flavor. It was a light broth with some spinach and carrots and it was fine, but it needed something else. The place was super neat and clean and the woman at the register taking the orders and serving was very pleasant. I will be back when in town again.

The restaurant is very clean with friendly service. The dishes were beautifully presented. Portions were a bit small for my teenagers. You go to the counter to make your orders. Overall, it’s a delightful space for a pleasant meal.

This place was hard to find(for me). It’s tucked behind a salon on Baxter. The restaurant looms great. Everything is new, down to the fountain machine. The prices are very good, the food tastes really fresh, and it is quick to cook. The reason I subtracted a star was because I ordered the portobello burger but the toppings, grilled onion and peppers, were cold and it made the burger a little cooler than I would have wanted. Everything else was great-well seasoned, a good temperature, and scrumptious. The staff is very nice and they have a lot of options for those with dietary restrictions.

The Table is the type of place that you always find elsewhere and wish it was in Athens. Thankfully, this one is in Athens and it is amazing. Familiar food with unfamiliar ingredients(chicken sandwich with a subtle curry spice, for instance) that makes lunch better than expected. I can’t wait to go back!

I don’t know where to start off. There’s nothing to complain about this place! The atmosphere is warm, the food is delicious and the prices are beyond reasonable. Oh and the owners, they are the friendliest, most genuine people you will ever meet. They don’t want to just make a quick buck off of you, all they want is to make sure you get a great meal and feel right at home. No matter how busy it gets, the chef will personally come check up on you during your meal to make sure you’re 100% satisfied. Athens is lucky to have such a quality establishment run by such quality people. So don’t miss out on The Table anymore, stop by! You won’t regret it.

The Table Bistro is awesome!!! 5 star restaurant at 2 star prices. I eat there several times a week and often get food to go for my family. The dishes are almost too pretty to eat! The menu is cleverly organized by «Handheld, Spoons, Forks, and Knives». Ingredients are fresh, healthy and delicious. My friends who have gluten issues say they can safely eat there– and love it. My favorites are the homemade soups, especially the tomato bisque, the Edison chicken sandwich made with coconut and honey mustard and pickled beets. Treat yourself to this great cuisine!

First time tonight and we really enjoyed it. I had the portabello jalapeño sandwich it was savory not too spicy and delicious. My wife had homemade vegetable soup and a salad and it to was delicious not overly salted like so many restaurants can be. The people that run The Table Bistro are a family and they’re lovely. Cordial, concerned that you have a great experience and attentive to your needs. I recommend them. Let’s make this another great Athens restaurant. Go check them out. They deserve your business.

I love this place– as a vegetarian, I had a ton of options here, and not just standard vegetarian(aka, boring…) food. And for a super reasonable price! I had the special that day: the black bean burger wrap. The sauces and spices are used well; not overwhelmingly savory but enough to ensure that I’m not thinking«this is definitely vegetarian…» The entire time. My boyfriend had the Jalapeño Portabella mushroom burger(that’s not the exact name, but close enough), and that was also so good. I’m generally pretty«meh» about black bean burgers because the texture is far from a burger, but the texture of both these dishes doesn’t leave me wanting. The roasted potatoes are perfectly seasoned, and the rice pilaf is a solid A. We both paid around $ 8 – 10(I’m pretty sure?) for good portions. I was satisfied by the end of the dish. And last but not least, the atmosphere. Sigh. I want to live in a place like this. It’s got such a clean and fresh feeling(granted, I went in the morning, so I dunno what it’s like at night). And the service was friendly; standard amount of time to receive our orders, I’d say. All in all, I hope this place sticks around, cause I’ll definitely be a regular.

AMAZING. Delicious food, cheap, and fast! The tomato bisque soup and shrimp grits were my favorite. Their pesto pasta and chicken pasta were also so delicious. The prices are really cheap compared to the portion size and the food came out really fast. I will definitely be back and my goal is to try every single item in their menu. I’m so in love with this place!!! Highly recommend everyone to try this place!
