This is the most hood, ratchet American Deli for them to not be in a hood area. When I called to place my order the young lady was yelling in the phone talking to her coworkers constantly cutting me off. Then when I get to the location my food isn’t ready — she proceeds to tell me I didn’t ask them to cook it. Why would I place an order to go over the phone if I didn’t want them instant I when I arrived? All in all, the food is great but customer service is poor.

Wings here are much small than other American Deli locations. Prices are also a little more than average and the wings didn’t have the traditional American Deli flavor.

I like the ironic feel of this American Deli location. Even though the name has the word«America» in it, upon entering the entire staff is either Korean or Mexican. I suppose the restaurant is a tribute to the many cultures that make up the US. Anyway, as stated in many reviews the chicken wings are as small as they can get. They are actually so small and scrawny that one questions how to make such small and famished chickens in such a day and age where corn meal is plentiful and animals are pumped full of steroids. I do enjoy the chicken wings in complement with their PHILLYCHEESE sandwich. There’s something about how it is prepared that keeps me coming back. The bread is nice and soft, the steak is smothered in cheese, and there’s the prefect amount of onions and mushrooms. The sandwich is a little pricey, but it’s worth it.

Get the grilled chicken salad. The salad is pretty plain but the grilled chicken was super flavorful. Probably the healthiest thing I had during my stay in Atlanta and the one thing I miss the most.

First sign of a place with poor food and quality, neon signs advertising their great wings. On a spur of the moment stop while going home to let my dogs out, I decided to get lunch here. The staff were friendly, but I guess the name American Deli goes hand-in-hand with the typical American idea of food. That definition is fast, out of a bag, and of poor quality. I ordered the pastrami(not even close to pastrami) which was overpowered by mayonnaise and oil. It came with fries, the kind you buy from the supermarket that come directly out of the bag. Even the so-called Cajun seasoning was so old that it lacked any heat. I’ve seen a few around town and now I know to avoid them. Definitely the most non-fulfilling meal I have experienced from a so-called deli. I want my $ 6.47 back because I could spend $ 10 and purchase the same ingredients and make a sandwich that would embarrass the one I had. The place was clean but definitely not worth my time to visit ever again. Complete dud!

Winner — Smallest Wings in Atlanta. I have to congratulate American Deli for their winning order of chicken wings, which are without question the smallest in Atlanta, and possibly all of North America. Apparently culled from a rogue midget chicken farm on the outskirts of town, they are also fried to a thin crisp and soaked in buffalo tar, or some such ingredient. Even so, they are tasty. As are the chicken phillys. And the staff is generally courteous, including the matron of the house, who will shout your order ceaselessly until you arrive and claim it. The gaudy backlit menu signage is also entertaining, as monstrous subs and cheesesteaks loom over your head menacingly as you place your order…

Its good for a local place to get a variety of «American food» but the price is a bit high for the quality you get sometimes. I guess I should ask if they are using relatively new oil cause most of my visits involve greasy and soggy fries. Not enough of a reason to give a bad review but something to think about. I like it regardless so if you need a quick bit and your at the Edgewood shopping center and don’t feel like waiting at 5 guys up the street then go on and give it a try.

For $ 7.55, you get tea that tastes rotten, cafeteria crinkle fries, and a mediocre six-inch philly. I came here to pick up lunch for my wife, and since she likes half-sweet tea, I tasted the sweet to see how much I’d have to cut it with unsweet. Two problems presented themselves: first, there was no unsweet tea, and second, the sweet tea had a sour bacterial taste, as if it had been brewed a day or two ago and left out unrefrigerated. When I pointed out the problem, the woman behind the counter tasted a sample of the tea and, without further comment, asked me what I’d like instead. She made no move to remove the rotten tea from the counter.

American Deli consists of everything you would expect based on the name … burgers, gyros, fries, wraps, etc. Almost everything is ok, but there are a few menu items that stand out and thus warrant the 4-star rating. Philly Cheese steak — they steam the bread and then toast the inside! Then they pile on the steak, American cheese, onions and green peppers… delicious. People in the know get a side of the Buffalo sauce to drizzle over it. Buffalo Wings — These are the best in the city. They are slightly crisp on the outside and coated with the best wing sauce in the ATL(including the required black pepper). They are a little on the small side, but the other attributes make up for that.

This is certainly an American deli — Philly cheesesteaks, french fries, greasy gyros and chicken tenders are for sale in this«deli.» I opted for the tuna salad. It wasn’t bad, but I could have fixed the something similar in my own kitchen. If you’re in the Edgewood shopping center and need a grease fix, I would recommend this deli. Otherwise, you aren’t out on anything special.

American Deli American Deli restaurants are popping up all over with at least 20 in the metro area. Yes it’s a deli and you can get salads and hero sandwiches, but people tend to go for the Philly cheese steaks. Sometimes fattening foods are just too good to pass up and with an American Deli less than 2 miles from my house, every so often I splurge with a cheesy chicken Philly loaded with green peppers. To really go off the deep end I add French fries and a Coca Cola. Try it on a Friday night when you don’t feel like cooking, just don’t make a habit of eating there every weekend. If you plan on going before you hang out pack some cologne or febreeze as you will literally leave smelling like the place, even if you are there for less than 5 minutes. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for what is good. Like I said, American Deli is everywhere. To find one in your neighborhood go to .
