After looking for a good«real» massage place in Atlanta and seemingly finding nothing but sketchy places offering«special» services… I finally(and thankfully) found Eileen. I had run 48.6 miles(5k/10k/Half Marathon/Marathon) in four days, and was feeling the strain my muscles had gone through. I was able to get in after work. Eileen asked what I’d done to torture myself, and already had an idea what hurt. A few more questions, and a quick tour of the offices, she began digging out the pain and suffering that had my muscles knotted up. It’s not a soft music/incense/spa day experience, but does dig out the knots in my glutes, quads, and hamstrings. Just walking out the door I felt infinitely better, and today the recovery improves.

I love athletic edge sports massage and come here regularly. Eileen is an expert in sports massage. She understands the the way muscles work together and how they should feel. She can tell when there is a sore spot with out asking or being told simply through the understanding of muscles and the use of touch. She does use deep pressure, but that is part of the benefit and she is open to feedback. She is also very talkative, but is willing to work quietly as well. It is very different from a spa massage, but that is one of the great things about it. I would highly recommend her to any athlete who is looking to prolong their sports career or keep up an active lifestyle.

I was having issues with my neck and upper back so I thought I would try Athletic Edge. I play a lot of tennis, and I needed some help to get back out on the court. Eileen took a lot of time with me, and explained everything that was going on with the muscles in my back and neck. She did a great job. I will definitely be a regular client. From this point on.
