Bleh! Not very clean and upkept. Staff is awkward and not inviting. Portion sizes are smaller than their competitors. The food just does not look good and tastes bland. THEYCHARGEEXTRAFORSOURCREAM, seriously?! Don’t go here. Go down to chipotle down the road and get your money’s worth. The salsa bar is not as expanded as they say it is. It has 3 and everything says it’s an expanded bar. They managed to over salt the chips. Cole the owner needs to invest his money elsewhere.

It’s like chipotle, but less tasty, less filling, and more expensive. A $ 10 burrito bowl later and I’m STILL hungry.

Great place to eat with your family, we brought our four children in to check it out. There was something for everyone to eat on the menu. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff member(Karl) who made our food was very patience and helpful with our kids and us. He gave us great recommendations for meals to try out and they tasted awesome.

Disappointing: two crunchy hard tacos and a regular drink = $ 9.39?! I said to the friendly cashier, «Are you sure that’s right?» He checked. Hard to believe but it was. This place was hit by inflation big time! This meal would be tastier and much cheaper anywhere else. I thought I would go in for a quick lunch. The outside looked good but the restaurant was freezing; ground turkey meat was cold and dry; tables were dirty and drink selection was limited; no healthy options and no healthy portions. I thought it would be good Mexican food but it was a copycat concept of Moe’s. Love burritos but having owned burrito restaurants myself, I feel they’ve over priced themselves in this market. At least Chipotle promises real ingredients and healthy choices. That’ll teach me not to Unilocal for a new lunch spot.

I was super hungry and just needed something and this was the closet place. Usually when you’re super hungry, you could eat just about anything and be happy but this place didn’t give me that feeling. The prices seemed pretty reasonable but when I actually got my food, I was a little upset about the portion size. I decided upon the chicken bowl with rice, chicken, cheese, pico de gallo, lettuce, sour cream, and black olives. The lettuce was less than fresh, the chicken and rice were cold, and I just wasn’t pleased. The portion was probably what I could fit into one taco. Maybe that’s the regular portion and I’m used to chipotle piling it on(hence the reason I can only eat half a bowl from there). Maybe I expected too much because I was hungry. Not sure if I’ll be back. The staff were great on another note. Really friendly and seemed to be having a really good time working together.

I have been here couple times. 2 out of 3 experiences were great hence the 4 stars. Service was amazing and they are always so pleasant and welcoming. Except for this one time where guy behind counter seemed impatient and as though he was being inconvenienced. At which point I told him to not worry about my order and left. But outside of that ordeal, the other times have not just been good. They were great service! Ordered spicy chicken burrito on spinach soft tortilla and salad bowl with spicy tofu!

This was probably my last time. I been here 5 or 6 times now. I keep going thinking it will be different and maybe my flavorless food was a fluke. Nope and it seemed to get worse. Rice tasted like water. Beans tasted like beans with nothing added… not even salt. Spicy chicken with no spice. Even the jalapenos were bland. I have to take a star off for limes that were on their last days. I buy 5lbs of limes every 10−14days and I know when they are going bad. The browning of the peel is just one sign. The jalapenoes looked old too, but I couldn’t tell if it was brown mushrooms in it or something else. So much for«fresh». Again, they were out of my favorite salsa. This has happened every time. It had to be prepared/cook but it was soon after opening. Lunch time mid week but only a few people there. That should speak volumes. Also some questionable cleanliness items but nothing that would make me immediately walk out. I really want to like this place, but there are other places like Qdoba that you can go to when you are tired of Moe’s or Chipotle.

I’ve been coming here for years and it has always been good. HOWEVER… On today’s trip I was disappointed. I walked in and the guy behind the counter was mopping the floor. He had a bottle of cleaning materials on the counter where the burritos are made. He saw us walk up to the counter, put the mop down, removed the cleaning bottle from the counter and WITHOUT washing his hands grabbed a pair of gloves to start to prepare our food. AKA his unwashed hands touched the part of the gloves he would later use to prepare our food. Then the burrito was placed on the counter where the cleaning bottle had been. Very unsanitary. Unfortunately 3 years of being a customer was flushed down the toilet.

Went on Fish Taco Friday @6pm and they were out of fish, employee informed me to talk to manager that even he has already complained to manager. Can’t even stock enough food for the one day they advertise fish tacos. Needs 0 stars!

Was there recently and the staff was friendly! The portion sizes on this trip were fantastic but our meals were rather bland. I think the beans and rice need more seasoning. Hard not to compare this to Willy’s and Moe’s(both of which taste great). Compared to those two similar restaurants, Barberitos was very dry(taste-wise) in our opinion. I think I’ll have to add more sauces, etc. to our orders to enhance them. I do plan to return so I can try other things. They have so many options(Wheat, Spinach and Flour burritos? Yes!!!). They also offer more than just chicken and steak, there’s vegetarian and turkey options too. This location is very convenient and I can easily see myself grabbing this to go on the way home. I paid $ 7 for a burrito and $ 1 more for an extra item to be added(that was a little much, 50 cents makes more sense than a $ 1 as that deters me from adding too much to our orders).

I had the spicy chicken bowl. It was very good and the chicken was tender. My husband had the steak bowl and said his steak was tough. I do like the salsa bar, like they have at Moe’s. The guy behind the counter was finally enough, but it was a slow morning and the cashier had a couple of girlfriends hanging out in and around the booth next to the register. He enjoyed talking to them much more than checking us out. This place is okay, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there. I just found out there’s a Chipotle up the street. Had much rather go there. Food — 3.5 Atmosphere — 2.5 Staff Interaction — 2

Moes, but Not. The food is fresh and tasty, but there’s not a single combo platter to be had. You don’t get cheese with your chips and the items are kind of pricy for the size of a serving you get. The food is almost identical to Moe’s from what i can tell, so I’m not sure how this is _any_different, but the staff was friendly.

When it comes to mexican fast food, I am number #1 fan of Chipotle but now after being to Barberitos, that might change. This place is awesome, I have more options than ever to choose from and even they have vegan options. That’s what I call catering to everyone. I love their veggie quesadilla’s — rice, beans and veggies and comes with sour cream and tomato pico and with chipotle tortilla it is addicting. I had to go three days straight just to get enough of it. The service was quick and friendly. But one thing I noticed was that I dint get pico when I sat in eat but did when I had my order to go. The Burrito was just OK may be it could use some tomatillo salsa I guess. Oh BTW, the tomatillo salsa is the best I had in a while, it had a good kick to it and tasted good with that cilantro flavor mixed in. Also the people behind the counter were very nice and during my first visit they gave me the frequent buyers card so I get 1 free when I purchase 10 items and a bag full of chips for which they had to explain that it was part of the burrito order that I did not know and and they were addicting too and had to refuse taking them in my next visits even though they are far better than tostitos cantina style chips and are free(I mean — atleast they come with burrito not that you have to pay $ 1.75 extra like at Chipotle or $ 3.49 at walmart) and by cost and quantity comparison they are atleast $ 0.30 cents less than Chipotle for vegetarian items and equally weigh in same. So I would say chips and 2 salsa’s on the house if you will.

1st time visit due to the numerous coupons I’ve received from a friend, I decided to check it out. Upon initially walking in, the set up was a little weird, the menu was pretty ordinary(Salads, Quesadillas, burritos) but extensive. The Guy at the register’s attitude was pretty blah. The food was JUST alright. Steak was cooked correctly but lacked taste, Nothing to write home about. What gave the Burrito taste was the corn salsa & Guacamole. Chipotle is still my fav, However the coupon was for a free meal & drink so I really cant complain. The sweet tea was great!

I give them two stars only for the food. It is tasty, and I love that they offer spinach and whole wheat tortillas. However, both times I have been to this place, service was horrible! I went when they first opened(as in the first week of business). I asked questions about the menu and the server got upset with ME. What the what??! You just opened, young whipper snapper, people are going to ask questions about your food. Simmer down, simmer down. I think I’ll just continue to drive the extra half a mile to chipotle up the street. They always greet me with a smile and make a mean burrito bowl.

I was the original Barberitos customer back in my days in Athens. Seriously. I was there a couple, or well, several times a week, because I loved their fresh affordable food. That being said when Barberitos popped up near my home, I was super excited to revisit my glory days. I have been to the Roswell Road location twice ow and twice I have left saying, «that was pretty good. Maybe they are still working out the kinks.» On my most recent visit, I ordered fajitas to take home for me and my husband to share. The portion size and value of their fajitas is great. I just didn’t want to eat that much of it because the steak, chicken, and black beans were so salty, and the steak tasted burnt. That being said, the other parts of the fajitas were pretty good. The pico de gallo, guacamole, and salsas were all fresh and tasty. I really want to fall in love with Barberitos again, but lay off the heavy handed salting and quit burning the meat, or else, it’s back to Willy’s I shall go.

I’ve been waiting for this place to open ever since they sent a couple coupons ahead of their grand opening. Then all of a sudden last week it was open, so I figured I’d go get one. I went at a really off time so nobody was there but on my second visit today, also an off time, there were several tables of people. This is the burrito concept we are all totally aware of now: burritos, tacos, salads, quesadillas, nachos, etc. Stand in line, they put it together before your eyes and give you a ton of chips with it. Things that kind of stand out: — they offer a smaller sized burrito, a mini, but it’s only a dollar less than the regular one I think so to me it doesn’t seem worth it — you have options for tortillas: white, whole wheat, spinach, chipotle. Mini ones are just white or wheat. — guacamole is not that much extra, on a burrito it’s like 40 cents extra(getting a «fatty» instead of a «skinny») compared to one w/o it, otherwise it’s 89 cents more. — sour cream is extra too(can get it instead of the guacamole, or get both) — they have a really good chipotle ranch dressing that was suggested to me on my first time there, and it was so fantastic on the burrito I highly recommend it on there. — they also have fajitas, I have no idea how this works — they only have two types of salsa and they are not spicy but damn do they taste good When I first came in I was completely confused but someone who I think was a trainer was there, he also suggested that ranch and so I am all about that life now. He was walking through the whole process w/the person working so I felt less weird about having no idea what I was doing. They have chicken, spicy chicken, steak, ground turkey, maybe tofu? Their website is terrible and does not even tell you this. Their menu also makes no mention of this spicy chicken. Ground turkey and steak cost more than the other ingredients. I’ve had both a mini(a free coupon) on a wheat tortilla and a fatty on a chipotle tortilla. I really didn’t get what was chipotle about the tortilla so I think I’ll stick with wheat in the future. Their rice is a bit like Mexican rice from a restaurant, and they have black or pinto beans too. I really like their chips. Plus you can get a 1 oz cup of cheese dip for a dollar. Their chips are thin and crispy, aka the best way to have chips in the world. Chipotle will always be #1 for me, because nothing for me compares to the way they put flavors together, and I could really take or leave chips and salsa, but this place already has slotted right in to #2 after two visits. Their guacamole is really good, and it’s FAR cheaper to add it to something here. I like to on occasion get fresh veggies on a burrito, something Chipotle really doesn’t offer.
