This place can be pretty cheap. I went here for lunch for the hot bar. You have to be careful what you place in your container otherwise you’ll come out with something more expensive. The food at the hot bar is just all right. It’s nothing great. If you’re looking for some Americanized Asian food like chow mein, dumplings, etc. here is the place. The service was also kind of meh. The girl manning the cash register seemed very unapproachable and looked like she wished she was anywhere else but her job. The only plus side is that if you have over a $ 6 purchase then you get a free drink with refills!

Great inexpensive place to get breakfast or lunch. The place is always clean and the customer service is very good. I get a cup of coffee and some grits for breakfast for less than $ 4. I visit the hot bar for lunch and can fill up for around $ 6. If you get more than a pound from the hot bar your drink is free. I haven’t tried the sandwiches but my co_workers like them.

I go here all the time as it’s close to my office building. Pelle keeps the place clean and the menu has a variety of offerings. The pasta bar is great, as well as sandwiches. If I get hungry early the hot breakfast bar is pretty big. They also provide frequent shopper cards, which you get your 10th meal $ 7 off(pretty much free). Oh and did I mention the poundcake, yum!

Maybe 4 stars. This place is clean, friendly, spacious, cheap, and housing good buttermilk biscuits. I will definitely be back.

Big Apple is in fact just a Deli with a OK selection of sandwiches and wraps. They recently renovated and added a hot bar with items like fried chicken and ribs. The salad bar was nice and clean. I walked up and ordered a spinach salad. I added a spoonful of chicken for 75 cent. It was one of those salad bars where you can throw in more stuff for a little bit more money so I also went for cheddar, onion, pepper, tomato, something and something topped with thousand island dressing. My total came up to $ 7.02 which I can happily say is the cheapest lunch I had in Midtown until I go down the block for checkers.
