Not impressed. Extremely sweet honey chicken. Mall food on a subpar level. I guess I’ll keep looking for cheap eats.

Do not go there. The food is not good and the people working there are not friendly at all.

Bistro 7 is one of multiple Chinese food court eateries at Peachtree Center Mall. This one has a unique layout because it’s located in a corner stall with two ordering counters and two cash registers. Both aren’t always open though. The service is good, but the quality and taste of the food is not so good. I know we’re talking about Chinese food court food which is already mediocre, but there’s still room for improvement, especially when you consider the in-mall competition(e.g. Malibu Wings). Walk around and try samples. You’ll see what I mean. Bistro 7 runs a popular $ 5.99 special which nets you two meats, two sides, and noodles or rice. The portion size is generous, so it’s a lot of food and a pretty nice value. Some of the more unique foods I’ve seen for sale include Indian curry chicken and tandoori chicken. You wouldn’t expect to find Indian food for sale at a Chinese joint. I guess they want to compete against the Indian stall as well. The best item I’ve tried is the honey chicken. It’s sweet and deep-fried, so it appeals to the masses and is hard to go wrong with. It’s crispy and tasty. I think the honey chicken is what the employees on the floor give out as free samples to lure customers in. You can actually sample any of the chicken if you ask. They’ll stick a piece on a toothpick and hand it over the food line to you. The lo mein noodles here look strange. They have a peculiarly odd pink hue to them. I normally like to order lo mein noodles at Americanized Chinese joints such as this place, but the noodles look a little too unsettling to me. Rice is the way to go. I like how the rice includes veggies like corn and green beans. The other stalls don’t include as many veggies in their rice. More on the green beans shortly. The noodles or rice are placed in the main compartment of the disposable Styrofoam eating container. This means less room for the meats, which are also placed in the same compartment. However, don’t worry, as the servers still manage to find a way to pile on heapfuls of sauce-drenched meats. Speaking of sauce-drenched meats, if you order the teriyaki chicken, be prepared for some soggy rice(or noodles). Same goes for any of the other«liquidy» meats. It’d be nice if there was a better way to separate them, but you are paying for quantity over quality. Like the strangely pink lo mein noodles, the green beans have an unnatural bold green color to them. It wouldn’t surprise me if some sort of preservative and/or artificial food coloring were added to the original product. Despite the unusual color, the green beans generally taste fine. In a pinch, Bistro 7 works, but there are better options in the food court.

I was here during Dragon con and was in the food court craving Chinese food. I tried some samples and it had orange chicken so I wanted to give it a try. I got the 3 sides+2 chicken deal which I thought was a pretty good deal for 5 – 6 $ Anyways, so long story short I pretty much got what I paid for. The quality was TERRIBLE. I got an eggroll and a few bites in, it really tasted like literal dirt. I couldn’t help but think it had fallen on the floor or something. The lomein was just poor quality and everything else really was not special. I drowned everything in hot sauce. And before hand I was starving, but not even half way in I just didn’t want to finish it because I was disgusted. I really hate to write such a negative review, but this is the first time in awhile where I just really, really thought a place was gross. Sorry.

This food will make you sick, too salty and greasy. If you have high blood pressure you must avoid this place. Rice is undercooked and veg overcooked, all other dishes tasted the same.

This is a confusing establishment. Like other Unilocalers have mentioned. They have literally everything here which could be a good or bad thing. In their case, I think it’s a bad thing. I was in town for business and needed to grab something quick. Because it was the holiday weekend, a lot of the other establishments were closed. I decided on the Lamb Gyro, I mean how can you go wrong right? They had the standard Gyro bread, the Lamb on the roasting device(not sure of the technical name) and toppings that you choose from right in front of you. My Gyro was decent for the price and convenience. You choose between fries and salad. I got salad. My salad was not fresh and the dressing was overkill. Would I eat here again? No. But it isn’t the worst. They just need to determine what they want to sell and work a little harder on fine tuning it to turn this place around.

None of the food I got was hot enough. It was all kind of bland. I got the Orange chicken, some other kind of chicken, fried rice, spring roll, and sweet potatoes. I didn’t like the rice flavor. The chicken was a little chewy. The sweet potatoes didn’t seem to have any butter or sugar or anything. I won’t be back.

I came here to grab dinner quickly after my workshops ended for the day. By the time me and my friends got there it was almost closing, so there were not many places open. We came here and the guy behind the counter kept pushing us to order from him. I had 2 meats and 2 sides combo which was tandoori chicken, honey chicken, corn, lo mein. We took our orders to go so we could take them back to the hotel. The tandoori chicken did not taste authentic and I am not sure about the honey chicken. But there was a lot of food.

I think there’s only one thing wrong with this establishment: They’re trying too hard to be everything to everyone. Pick one thing and go with it. If you’re going to do Indian food, then do that well. If you’re going to do Pacific-rim foods, then stick with that. These guys have terrific enthusiasm for their work and their customers. I hope they can transfer that enthusiasm to their food and sharpen their culinary skills.

Epically bad. Every day I walk past some weirdly enthusiastic employee defensively hawking free samples for this bizarre little food court corner. They appear to do salads of some sort and the hot dishes are usually some kind of vaguely Mediterranean or curry-related dish. I’ve only been here once and it will stay that way. I almost feel guilty rudely ignoring the«free sample» pleas every time I pass, but then I remember — duh-duh-duhhhhh! The Worst Curry in the World!!! How to tell the tale? How to convey my horrible disappointment? Perhaps a narrative. Imagine you had a redneck aunt whose best friend worked in a truck stop Chinese restaurant. So the redneck aunt tastes curry for the first time on a visit to the big city of Macon. She consults her friend and her friend agrees to snag some of the chicken scraps they typically wad with flour and deep fry before dousing them in a syrupy soy mixture. The aunt purchases the lone tin of curry powder at the Piggly Wiggly. They mix it together with chicken broth and canola oil and microwave it. Ta-dah!!! You have Bistro 7’s chicken curry: clumps of curry powder inartfully moistened with some flavorless liquid, complete with strands of chicken fat and unidentifiable dark meat lurking behind al dente broccoli in a miserable puddle of gross. It was a sad lunch. So sad in fact that even in my poverty I threw it out and ate elsewhere. I recommend you do the same.
