I went to this BP out of necessity because I was running on fumes… Stopped just to tank enough to get me home because the gas prices were too high for my taste.

Stopped in to this BP for a couple snacks and beverages; we just arrived in Atlanta for a weekend stay and I can say, you can get what ever your taste buds desire(snack & drink wise.) Came in for a Couple Energy Drinks(Warn me all you want…), Chips, Water and couple other snacks. The Clerks were very friendly and helpful. This also isn’t one of the sketches out gas stations that you might find here in ATL. So stop by for your snack/drink fix.

I’m a Diet Coke girl. Despite numerous Lenten and New Year’s resolutions, I cannot kick the addiction to those sweet,(nearly) calorie-free bubbles. Lecture me about the risks of aspartame all you want, at least my coke habit is legal. And this BP is one of the places I get my Diet Coke fix, as they have to be the only gas station I know of with a Coca Cola Freestyle machine! Yes, their slushee options might be weak, but you can chose from 100+ Coca Cola flavors and styles, for just $ 1.19 for 32oz. If you’re not a Diet Coke addict like me, you’re caffeine fix can still be achieved here, as they have a full service Dunkin’ Donuts(complete with the new Peeps stuffed donut for Easter). If the fuel you need is actually for your vehicle, their prices aren’t half bad for Atlanta, and it’s one of the less sketch gas stations in Midtown. Club BP, I am a fan.

I’ve heard it referred to as «club bp» Average overpriced gas station as all gas stations in town are. But, some positive things are that it’s well lit. I know if I’m driving around 1 – 2 am on the weekend this one is less sketchy than a lot of other ones because there’s a lot of people around and the lights are working, not flickering on and off like a horror movie. I always see tons of college students here. so if you’re into that and like to creep, this is the spot. Just kidding, don’t.

Pumpin’ gas aint real fancy, but sometimes I pack cigarettes to the tune of Puttin’ On the Ritz. Where gas pumps quick, pack-pac-a-pac-pac, puttin’ on the clip.

I really don’t know what it says about our nightlife when gas stations are the place to be late at night. This used to be the pop off for local biker gangs… not Hell’s Angels or anything… more like riding clubs. Anyway, like any of the gas stations around The Connector in Midtown, this one is crowded. At night. During the day. It doesn’t matter. It’s busy and it’s easy to get in and out, despite being stuck across from the Varsity on North Avenue.

This BP location looks like it would be hard to get in and out of, but it’s surprisingly easy with the way the lights are timed at North Ave and Spring. Although I probably wouldn’t try out that theory in the afternoon rush hour… Gas here is usually .10 cheaper than other stations nearby. I don’t know why I like getting gas here, but I do. Maybe it reminds me of walking up North Ave every morning while in college.

You hear about the cops loving donuts and coffee and getting their fair share from gas stations, 7−11s, and the like, but when I got here one late Monday night there were a good 3 – 4 cops loading up for their drive to the next gas station. Granted, I was glad to have them there considering the crowd that was around, but a baker’s dozen for each patrolman seemed a little extreme.

THEKING of downtown gas stations. Not the cheapest prices, but you can’t beat the location, especially if you’re coming from The Masquerade or(formerly) the GSU Village and looking to get back on 75⁄85. The weekends turn into party central, I swear I’ve never seen so many people at a gas station at 2:30 a.m. on a Friday night.
