Excellent quality Mediterranean-style grilled meats at a very good price. Cairo Cuisine Mediterranean Grill is located in the«Food Garden» of Northlake Mall. The restaurant’s menu includes gyro, kebabs, shawarma, falafel, and an Egyptian special of rice, macaroni and lentils. I also observed grape leaves and hummus on display. I was first sold by the sample of gyro that the restaurant was handing out. Then, a fresh batch of chicken shawarma came out and I asked to try it too. It was very tasty. The staff are very friendly. My order took around 15 – 20 minutes to prepare, but everything was cooked fresh. According to the server, there are specials on weekends. Highlights: I ordered the mixed grill, which consists of kofta(grilled ground meat with spices), chicken shish kebab, and gyro. The gyro and kofta were spot on. I got about 10 pieces of gyro, each juicy and extremely flavorful. My kofta was also excellent — it had the perfect blend of seasoning and chopped herbs(parsley) mixed in. The meats came with a side of salad, two sauces, a large helping of yellow rice, and a few pieces of pita bread. My pita bread was nice and warm. While a little thick, the sauces went along well with the meat. Honestly, the gyro and kofta didn’t need sauce. The whole plate cost less than $ 12, which is a bargain for the amount and quality of food you get. My sample of chicken shawarma was excellent — I will probably get an order of this the next time I go. Critiques: The chicken kebab could have been a little moister. If you want chicken and are having trouble deciding between chicken shawarma and chicken shish kebab, at this point I’d go with the shawarma. Overall: Cairo Cuisine Mediterranean Grill is a standout in the Northlake Mall food court. The restaurant can cook several meats extremely well and is very competitive with many of the Mediterranean sit-down restaurants in the area. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for tasty, Mediterranean grilled meats at a reasonable price.

We had a staff event and Cairo did an amazing job. The food was great and we definitely got our money’s worth. Cairo was a great decision for us because we have a diverse staff that has different tastes and Cairo had something for everyone.

GOHERE!!! Let me start by saying I am not an internet reviewer. Never have been, and don’t think I ever will be. BUT this place deserves the attention. I was looking for somewhere to eat and stumbled across this little place and thought«No way in h3! I am going to the mall food court for dinner.» But after reading a few reviews of people saying they would be going back whether they needed to go to the mall or not, I figured why not. So I get there and it’s nothing out of the ordinary tucked away in the back(…it’s in food court… wasn’t expecting anything different here), but when I walked to the counter and the Tunisian version of Drake greeted me with a hello and a friendly smile, I knew this was going to be good. I order my food(chicken shawarma and a greek salad) and begin a conversation with Tunisian Drake, who is an incredibly nice and genuine person. If there was one of him at every food service counter in this country, we would be a happier people. I digress, so at one point in the conversation, he asks if I have ever tried their gyro meat, which I hadn’t, so he let me try it. Let me say here, I have had lots of gyro meat in my life; the gyro is one of my go-tos to try, and none of the meat I have had even comes close to what came off that toothpick. That was the moistest, best tasting gyro meat on this side of the world. I honestly thought it was prime rib sprinkled with magic gyro flavoring for how tender, juicy and all around amazing it was. After that, he handed me my food, and I basically sprinted back to my car(all the way back through the mall. piece of advise; park on the bottom backside near J.C. Penney I think it is), Anywho, I just had to get home to eat this food. The next part of this wonderful experience, I cannot put into real words other than WOW. The food… WOW. The chicken, garlic sauce, veggies, hint of spiciness from the chili sauce. just… WOW. Everything blended together to form something out of this world. GOHERE. These people truly care about what comes out of the kitchen and making sure that you have the best experience possible. GOHERE. And to top it all off. the prices are perfectly reasonable, and way below how good the food is. GOHERE. I will be back, with friends, to have that gyro sandwich soon(possibly tonight, it’s seriously that good). PEOPLE, GOHERE! To management at Cairo Cuisine: Guys, you could seriously open a standalone restaurant. Being in a culinary city like Atlanta, a place this good would thrive.(i get rent, etc. etc. would make it difficult, just making a statement here). Just get people in the door once, and they WILL come back. You already have one loyal customer in me. See you soon(a.k.a most likely tonight)

I’m updating my review to 5 stars. They sent me a message to apologize about the mix up in the order and offered me a free beef shawarma on my next visit. It’s nice to know that they care about their customers. Update: I was finally able to try their beef shawarma and it was really good. They even threw in some fries in my order. The owner(I think) came out and talked to me and said that they’re glad I came back. Goes to show that they provide great customer service.

This place in amazing! It’s been here 7 months and I’m just discovering it?! *face palm* — I’m usually not a fan of food court cuisine, but I was at the mall with my family and we were hungry so we decided to peruse the food court. Initially we were going to eat from the Mexican place and maybe get a fajita salad or something to avoid the usual Chinese/burgers/wings that often plague food courts, but then we came across this hidden gem in the back of the food court. We tried a sample of the beef and chicken shawarmas and were immediately sold! I got the beef gyro, my brothers got the beef gyro entrée, and my dad got the chicken shawarma entrée.(I may be getting the names wrong, but I honestly think you can’t go wrong here!) — Here are the basics: FULL of flavor, more than enough food, the customer service is beyond amazing, prices are perfect, and the quality of the food is way beyond food court quality! So glad I live nearby; I’ll definitely be back! Even if you don’t need to go shopping, stop by this place to grab a quick bite!

Some of the best Middle Eastern food outside of the Middle East, according to my experience. Their shawarma and kofta tastes 100% authentic. It’s obvious that traditional recipes are taken seriously here. Don’t let the fact that the restaurant is in a mall fool you!

Absolutely delicious! We had the mixed grill, the kochary plate, baba ganoush and a cooked eggplant dish. Everything was fantastic, especially for a food court location. The guy in front of us ordered the lamb shank and it was falling off the bone. Although I didn’t try it, I definitely would if I lived near by. We also had a mango smoothie which was perfectly sweet and well blended. If you are looking for good, quick Egyptian food at a fair price, give this place a try. You will not be disappointed!

I had the chicken kabob with a mango smoothie. Both were 1,000% better than what I was expecting from walking through the mall.

What an amazing little gem inside of Northlake Mall’s Food Court! I went here because of the Unilocal reviews, and was not disappointed. The man taking orders was so friendly and generous with samples(lamb and mango lassi!) I went with the Mixed Grill Entrée, and my favorite was definitely the lamb. Very well marinated and cooked! It’s cooked to order, so takes a little bit of time, but it’s definitely worth the wait. I’ll be back the next time I visit Atlanta!

Amazing halal Mediterranean food. Wife and I split a chicken shwarma plate. We asked for it mild. There was a little red Chile sauce that was a little spicy, perfect for me but not mild enough for my wife. The chicken was soo good very tender. Salad was decent, I could see it being very good in a gyro. They gave a lot of tasty rice. There was a creamy looking sauce that I tasted. it would have been amazing but I didn’t partake. Definately will be back for more and an telling all my friends. Edit: forgot to mention the pita bread. I’m not an expert, but I loved it. Tasted so fresh, just the right texture, I think next time I am going to try a sandwich with it.
