I’m from out of town and was staying at the hotel across the street. I love all types of Asian food so I was excited to see Chinese Buddha as an opportunity to avoid one more hotel restaurant meal. I should have stayed at the hotel. I stopped for a late lunch at about 1:30 and there was one large table and two other single tables yet the service was slow and I had to ask for the check when I was finished. The light vegetable plate was basically a pile of stir fried onions with some green pepper an a few sprigs of broccoli. The fried rice served with it was mushy. I order a cup of hot and sour soup which wasn’t bad so I put so of the rice and veggies in it to make it eatable. The place is kind of attached into a Georgia Tech student housing unit so I’m guessing most of their business must be bar closing rush when the clientele really doesn’t care what they’re eating.

Ok experience. Not overwhelmed by any stretch. Good service, reasonable price, ok food. Probably won’t go back

I placed my order at 8:30 the delivery guy came around 10:15. Once the delivery guy showed up he refused to come through the gate after I gave him the gate code three times. I could barely understand him and he hung up on me. Shortly after I got a call from lucky Buddah stating that he wanted me to walk to my apartment gate. I refused because I don’t see the point in ordering delivery being charged for it and they want you to take a 10min walk to your gate. The manager also hung up in my face. Which is sad I liked this place but the customer service is terrible it’s been two weeks and I have yet to receive my refund.

The service was horrible… food was just ok. The real surprise came when leaving. I parked in their parking lot in front of a sign that said for Restuarant customers … There was a boot on my truck… Apparently some spaces even in front of the signs are reserved. according to the boot guy … It’s obviously a hustle… I’ve ordered take out a lot from them but I’ll never give them my business again. I even called the manager to explain… she was not only rude but she hung up.

The food is really good here and I’m so glad that they are open late. Some friends in town visiting and I came tonight. The food still great but the service was a little lack luster. Still enjoyable though.

I’m always on the lookout for some good late night eats so we’re talking 3:00or 4:00 am for good affordable Chinese food. I’ve been going there for years & never been disappointed worth the trip damn sure.

Walked in at 4:19AM and a cop and employee immediately said«we’re closed». I had just called to confirm they were open until 5:00AM, as stated online. The woman on the phone said they were open till 5:00AM. Rude. My friends and I drove over due to the belief that this business was truthful concerning its hours of operation. The food is amazing though

Great late night dinner or midnight snack. My husband and I came here after a busy day and not wanting to cook at midnight. We prepared for the worst since its late. To my suprise the food was good and it came ratger quick. We have frequent this establishment more than once since our intial visit. The shrimp and broccoli taste so good and fresh. The only thing is there hot mustard taste so funny and I dislike it. Great place to visit late night and dinner.

This is probably my FAVE chinese restaurant –and this is coming from a girl who thought nothing could beat Golden Buddha on clairmont! The food is hot and fresh, the flavors are amazing, and the customer service is superb. Plus, it’s open late! I think they close at like, 5am? You can’t beat it. After a night of bowling, partying, or simply up late studying, this is the place to grab a quick bite. I highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken and/or general tso’s chicken

Was feeling for a lighter dinner, so I came in hopes of getting a good vegetarian dish. Ordered the foo young and although it wasn’t quite what I was looking for, it was alright. Definitely large portions since I could only eat one of the pancakes! Had the egg drop soup. Was standard, but quite an alarming neon yellow color? price was fine. hours are great. free parking in the back!

I was coming in about 2am on a Friday morning. They seated us then when we tried to order to go they made us go back to the front-__-. The food came quick & fast. the sweet and sour chicken taste a little too sweet but i was mad hungry so ate it anyway. Although it only had one dumpling in it, the Wonton soup is to die for! I had to save it for right before put me sound asleep. The only downfall is parking. i was lucky to find a small spot. I’d definitely go here again when i carpool.

Don’t bother unless your on foot. absolutely no parking to offer. For whatever reason, this has to be one of the very few restaurants in downtown Atlanta that offers literally 0 parking. no street or garage or even a sign to point you anywhere. Good food spot for tech kids, not so much for anyone driving in looking for a late night joint to grab a bite.

Was nearby in Midtown with my bf a couple weeks ago and craving Chinese food(although, when am I not craving Chinese?) so decided to check it out. They offered us vegetarian menus when we walked in, which was a plus as the bf is mainly vegetarian. They seemed to have a good number of vegetarian options. I decided to go with the dinner special, which came with an egg roll and soup. I got General Tso’s and Wonton Soup. Both were good. Not great. The egg roll was pretty sub par. I decided it wasn’t even worth the calories to finish, but my boyfriend tried it and apparently thought it was pretty good so finished it for me(*shrugs*). He ordered a chop suey but they brought him a chow mein on accident. They offered to fix it but he decided to just stick with the chow mein since they brought it out already. But he enjoyed his meal overall. The portions were really huge, so it’s a good deal. But as far as good Chinese food goes, it’s not going to blow you away. It;s good enough that I’d eat there again though. Especially if it was late, since they are open so late.

There are not a lot of really good chinese places in Atlanta and I think this one is ok. I love the lunch specials(the portions are amazing and comes with soup, a chicken wing and an eggroll, although they let me sub. an extra egg roll) I feel like the sauces are really really sweet so I am often forced to order sauce on the side, or extra super spicy. Which is fine, but you have to be careful what you order. The service is usually pretty fast so that is always good. It is good for fast chinese and not the best but will get your craving satisfied.

Finding a decent Chinese food carryout has proven to be quite the task in Georgia but Chinese Buddha saved the day! I don’t get Chinese from anywhere else! When I say, EVERYTHING you will order from this menu — whether you’re vegetarian or a beef eating foodie, will be delicious! They have great variety of everything, hella options. Open late but parking sucks. full bar, great service, fresh food! I mean, you just can’t beat this place. The only thing they’re missing is mumbo sauce!!!

This place is legit for what it is. Do not go in here expecting some gourmet experience or quality food. But it serves it’s purpose very well. A change up from other typical late night options. Service is fast. It is cheap.

Yikes. First: this isn’t Chinese food. Second: WTF is this gross nonsense that’s being passed off as «Chinese» food?!? Third: How can a «Chinese» restaurant(or any restaurant) get RICE wrong??? My client wanted to go here for lunch yesterday. After doing a bunch of research to see what my GF ass could eat, I found that Moo Goo Pai Pan was a solid option: a chicken dish(usually served with bamboo shoots, broccoli, carrots and water chestnuts) in a GF white sauce made with corn starch. Welp, not here apparently. This one came out covered in some gross brown sauce, which I’m certain contained copious amounts soy sauce(not GF) and God knows what else. Instead of being«that girl» and making a stink at a client lunch, I figured I would just eat the rice. It was literally inedible. It wasn’t cooked through and was completely flavorless despite it’s strange brown color(Y U brown, rice?!) Never again.

This restaurant belongs in a very special genre of food: Americanese Late Night Cravings. In my opinion, it does that rather well and is a deal for the money. THISPLACEISDUCKINGGREAT, WITHOUTTHEDUCK. They literally never have duck in this restaurant except on the menu, I don’t know why. I can’t imagine it being that popular of a menu item in a late night Asian inspired joint. PORKFRIEDRICEISLOADED. Loaded with pork that is, no pun intended. Tons and tons of pork, delicious rice and to top it off, I asked them to make it as spicy as they can get it. It was done just right. GREATSERVICEEVERYTIME. I don’t expect much when I am ready to pass out after a fun night and a dozen shots of vodka, but they hit the jackpot on service every time. Fast and very attentive.

This place is only decent if you’re drunk or on the cusp of being drunk. The food is not good at all. I ordered the crab ragoon/wontons and that didn’t even taste good. I came in on a late night with a friend and realized why it hadn’t been on my radar. I’m not coming back here– I’ll let the late night crowd enjoy that cuisine.

Food quality is horrific. Beware, they failed their health inspection which I figured out after I got my food. Rarely can you see in the food what the health inspector scored the restaurant on, but it happened here. Combine their poor quality food with horrible service and rude management and you get a place to avoid at ALL costs. For those folks who enjoy the restaurant late at night when they are drunk, I get it. This place can only be enjoyed when completely trashed. Next time, try the Waffle House at 5th and Spring St. For a much better experience with good food and great service.

Honestly I never thought of Chinese food as drunk food until Saturday night or Sunday I guess haha. For us Ecuadorians the drunk food dish is called Encebollado and trust me it works. Now as for this place it was quite packed we had to wait like 20 minutes for a table and for some odd reason we waited outside in the cold… so once we were seated I just went for a Wonton Soup to get myself warm, it was quite delish, I wasn’t really hungry so I didnt order anything else, but the food that my friends ordered looked really good and they needed it lol. But now I know one place to go if I get drunk or tipsy the next time I am out and about, will most likely update this review once that happens again.

We got a smörgåsbord. We got the fried rice, hot wings, hot and sour soup, and the egg rolls. Let’s start with the good. When we ordered we were told 45 minutes. It actually took 30 minutes. I love that. Don’t tell people it will be 20 and then it takes 30. I’d rather know up front that it is going to take longer. Good job, crew. Another bright spot was the hot and sour soup. It wasn’t like anything I had eaten before. This wasn’t your normal thick, greasy hot and sour. It was a thin and very peppery soup. If you don’t like pepper, don’t order this. Luckily for me, I do. I really enjoyed it. Now for everything else. I DONOTENJOYHAIRINMYWINGS. We found not one, not two, but three wings that contained hair in the sauce. This pretty much did me in. I really just don’t understand this. If you shed like Chewbacca, where a damn hair net. Unreal. The rice was decent, but it didn’t have a ton of flavor and was extra dry in comparison to other fried rices. The egg rolls were good at first and then got worse as I went. I’m not really sure why, maybe it was because they were as crisp as I like. Anyways, the moral of this review is don’t get hair in your customer’s food. Gross.
