Finally got a chance to get my nails done. Arrived just short of 11 am and all the chairs were full. Pedicure was empty. I was greeted nicely. Sat for maybe 10 minutes before I was called to sit at a table. My manicurist name was Tammy. I got gel nails with a french manicure and also got my eyebrows waxed. She did a great job and was friendly. I was done by 12. One hour. That works for me.

$ 16 pedicure!!! It’s true what people say — you get what you pay for! Two days later and I’m still peeling nail polish off of my skin(yes, skin… not nails… skin). :-/

So I’d never had a manicure OR pedicure before going to this place with my friend. I don’t know why– I think I just didn’t know what to do or how to go about having it done? Anyway, we went here one day at lunch and had our little mani pedi thing done. Since she’d shown me the ropes at this place I decided the other day that I could go by myself and do it. And I did. So the lady did the pedi part but the water was drawn and was luke warm(and I’m horribly hot natured) but aside from that she did a good job on the pedi part. She did the mani part while I was soaking my feet and it hurt! She actually cut my thumb cuticle. And didn’t acknowledge it. Then she did what I’ll say is the WORST nail painting job that I have ever had. Having only previously had one professional nail painting experience prior. There were air bubbles in the paint on my nails. And I don’t really have long nails, by the way. She didn’t do much of anything at all to the nails in the way of cutting them. When she did the little top coat thingy it made the not yet dry(because I was just sitting there with my feet in the soaking tub and not in some place with a drying device). All of this took more than an hour so I couldn’t spend time getting them redone. It was a disaster. While I was there another woman came in complaining that her nails that were done the day before were not correctly done. They fixed the nails(they were not her naturally grown nails) but charged her for the repaint. This may be common but I thought it was indicative of the overall quality of the shop…
