Dr. Alvarez is a great dentist, and the practice is considerate of your appointment time and how long you will need to be there.

Dr. Alvarez and his staff are so wonderful. He is the kind of dentist that you know is going to wait until you are ready for whatever he needs to do and doesn’t rush through the process. No one likes going to the dentist but these guys make it painless and you leave knowing it was worth the apprehensiveness and you are doing what ya gotta do for your oral health!

Dr. Alvarez is a fantastic dentist. I’ve had my fair share of dental problems over the years (fillings, crowns, etc.), and I am very picky about choosing a dentist I can trust. After moving from dentist to dentist for a couple of years, I found Dr. Alvarez at Dentistry at Vinings. He is a great dentist who takes the time to listen to his patients and only prescribe treatment when it’s needed. He replaced an old filling of mine and found decay underneath where a previous dentist had not done a thorough job. The filling was quick and painless. Since finding Dr. Alvarez and his awesome staff, I have decided to stay with this practice and won’t be moving around again.

Do NOT go here. I’ve never had a problem with a dentist in my life until going here, and now I’m terrified of them!
We moved to Atlanta and picked this place randomly off of a list from work. I ended up having a few minor cavities to be filled. Normal, I’ve had a filling before, and didn’t have a problem with it.
Dr. Wand has forever destroyed my molars. He did a terrible, rough job, leaving many sharp edges, weird ridges, and insane pain that I’ve already had to go back TWICE to have them try and fix. Not only that, but he’s SO rough while he works, shoving the mirror and tools into your gums. Now it’s SIX WEEKS later and I STILL can’t eat with that side of my mouth because of the insane pain. They keep sending me home even while I’m saying it’s still not fixed. They tell me «oh the pain should go away in a couple of weeks», but it doesn’t & they don’t care!
I’m taking my records and finding a new dentist. I want a refund!!! And thanks a lot for ruining, what was, my PERFECT TEETH!

Dr. Wand is very gentle and concienscious. Be sure to get Kathy as your tech if you need any work done. All the hygienists are great. But it’s very, very expensive.
