Ferg’s 25/8 Bar & Lounge

Went there for ‘talent night’ one Saturday. Only half the place was filled with tables … the other half towards the back had no chairs, tables. Usually you would make it the other way around. People who came in later had to stand due to this and had they stood in the back they wouldn’t have been able to see anything; so they just started standing wherever. Made it look ridiculous.
Couldn’t get a grasp as to whether it was supposed to be trendy, hip-​hop, upscale, casual … people were wearing anything from hoochie dresses to blazers to t-​shirt/​baggy jeans. Can’t recommend it for any set ‘occasion’ due to the fact I don’t know what the lounge means if people can walk in with ANYTHING on.
Microphone issues all night. It upsets you to want to hear good music, and can’t, because the equipment was not maintained correctly.
Bar mistress was on me so much about paying my tab RIGHT after giving my drinks, made me wonder if she had gotten paid by anyone else but me. It’s almost like going to Applebee’s and them delivering food … and then standing there waiting on you to pay. Annoying to say the least. She even asked me for a credit card for a tab … for a table with two people at it; never heard of that before.
Also, they had menus for food … but no one to make it. That makes the menus pointless. EVERYONE was looking to order, but got the same response, ‘The cook will be in in about 30 minutes.’ But they never showed up. Why tell the lie then? Just say he won’t be in.
The place is well-​maintained and could have a nice atmosphere, but the negative first impression on the layout, money-​grabbing waitress vibe, and lack of key personnel (2 people taking money at the door, no one to make food when every other place on Main Street/​East Point serves something) tells me I shouldn’t go back or recommend it.

Ok, so I found a hidden gym in Eastpoint, thanks to Unilocal.The music and drinks are great! I woulf definately go back. I felt thay it wad a cool place to chill and have drinks. There was no cover charge and the atmosphete was lovely. Shout out to the DJ for letting me enjoy the music instrad of screaming over the record. I will come here again.
