My son injured his foot playing a backyard game of football with his friends– it was good a swollen the next morning. I posted a question on a Decatur moms’ Facebook group wondering which urgent care had xrays in the Decatur area. One mom raved about Dr. Sinkoe and suggested taking my son to him instead of an urgent care. She was absolutely right! Dr. Sinkoe was kind and thorough and found a fracture in my son’s foot. He has called twice over the weekend to check on my son. Above and beyond a wonderful doctor!

We were referred to Dr. Sinkoe by a sports medicine physician who is also a patient. He told us that Dr. Sinkoe has found problems that MRIs have missed. Dr. Sinkoe is indeed an excellent diagnostician and understands the needs of athletes and dancers. He gets results and also follows up treatment with phone calls. He also referred is to an excellent orthotist/​trainer.

My second trip to see Dr. Sinkeo! He is very gentle. He understands the special needs of the dancer foot. He can even retrofit your running shoes and other shoes to relieve pressure on the toes.
First, tinge I went was for a very ingrown for nail. He took his time and the experience was pretty much painless.
This time I went to get rid of nail fungus I got at a local salon. Again painless and he done how matter my nail beds look normal again. Sent a sample off to the lab and ordered medication.
I highly recommend Dr. Sinkeo.

I’m tempted to take one star off for the huge green signs plastered over the window to reception in the waiting room, it’s extremely unwelcoming.
BUT, Dr. Sinkoe and his staff were extremely friendly and helpful in diagnosing and suggesting a solution to my achilles tendon problems. The place is a bit hard to find and cell phone reception can be poor so printing out a map beforehand isn’t a bad idea.

So say you had a lot of fun at a wedding. Say you woke up Sunday morning and one of your toes is all swollen and it hurts to put any weight on it. So you properly ignore it and hope it’ll go away on its own. But over the next 10 days, it just gets worse not better. That’s when you go to see Dr. Frank Sinkoe.
So yes, when Dr. Sinkoe told me I sprained the ligament in my toe and it was very common amongst ballet dancers, I could answer «Well, that makes sense, since I was drunk dancing at a wedding when it happened.. .. I think. That’s what I’m told anyway.» Thankfully, his diagnosis was correct, all I had to do was ice, tape and put an insert in my shoe for a few weeks, and I’m ready for my dancing shoes again!
Dr. Sinkoe was very sweet to follow up via phone call a few weeks later. If I have any more foot, toe, ankle issues in the future (which hopefully I don’t), at least I have a good podiatrist.

Based on my one and, I hope, only interaction with Dr. Sinkoe and his staff, I recommend highly his services as a podiatrist.
I’m a graduate student at Emory, and student health services referred me to him when I came in about metatarsal pain in my left foot. I received my referral at 8:30 am on Monday and was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Sinkoe the following morning at 9 am. Great scheduling.
Dr. Sinkoe’s office is located in an executive park complex, with his door being «around the back» rather than along the front row of offices. The door isn’t well-​marked – it’s the «center» door along the back row of offices. I was in and out in an hour, and that included new patient registration, being seen by an assistant and Dr. Sinkoe, and two sets of x-​rays to clarify that I had only an infected blister and not a foreign object in my foot.
Dr. Sinkoe did his training at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, which formerly was located at Case Western Reserve University (now it’s located at Kent State), and we chatted about my much beloved hometown of Cleveland while he removed the infected tissue and skin below my third and fourth metatarsal. I love it when professionals have personality and can be personable and… professional.

My husband and I both have pretty messed-​up feet, and are both patients of Dr. Sinkoe’s. He is knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. His assistants are very nice. There is never a wait.
