As a party spot maybe 2 stars… but besides that… It’s just OK. And that’s probably an overstatement. As I walked in the first thing i noticed was the smell… wrenk! The ambiance… def needs work… holes in the wall, ripped carpet. The service was beyond slow! And it wasn’t even a busy night. Not worth the automatic 18% gratuity(all parties)!! Overall, The food was mediocre with a five star price tag. My entrée arrived cold I complained… the resolution was to stick it in the microwave. Wow… microwaved lobster is not good! The seafood pot pie was a fail!(Sent back to the kitchen). They only had one dessert option so u would think it would be exceptional? Negative. The alcohol… more like sugar water! I really wanted to like this spot. Unfortunately, No one in my party is planning on a return visit.

FRANKSKI’S ISNOWCLOSED!!! the new name is «Klass»… Shady establishment so far. Arrived at 4:15pm for a «free» before 5 Hawks Day Party. I noticed that the place was empty when I pulled up, but after a 15 minute wait I found out valet is $ 20 or I could self park for $ 5. Got in line at 4:30pm only to left standing there with a pretty long line of other patrons until 5:04pm at which time they said it would be $ 20 per person. The entry/bouncer staff literally left a full line standing in the sun and went to stand in the entry way(in the shade) and crack jokes. What appeared to be the owners did come outside to take pictures of the line though… I’m not really surprised at all that they haven’t registered the new business on Unilocal. This place seems kinda shady. Definitely less than Klassy… Definitely won’t be returning.

Beautiful venue – but that might be about it. What is interesting about this place is how great of a reputation it has. The actual experience wasn’t that great. I’ll tell you why. Around 9pm on a Friday night, the place was practically empty. That’s never a good sign – but it didn’t matter. The four of us sat down and peeked at the menu(we were very *very* hungry) and the only thing listed were tapas. Yep. Tapas. Which basically means that you have to order two or three things each to maybe get full. This wasn’t really the problem. Actually, I blame myself for not looking at the menu ahead of time. The problem came when we told the waitress that we did not think that we would stay at the restaurant. Do you know what she said? Of course you don’t because I’m writing the review. She actually went into a five minute tirade about how much she hates the new menu, and how all of her customers are leaving, and how she does not get the hours that she wants at the restaurant, and gave us suggestions for where we should go. Who does that? I would think that your job would be to somehow convince us to spend money in this establishment because if we are not paying customers and you’re losing customers, the establishment is losing money and you could possibly lose a job. Don’t do that. But like I said, the place is very nice. I think the focus is more so suited towards the lounge and not so much towards the food, but that might be fine in the long run as well. Just not good for very hungry person.

Frank Ski’s has a nice atmosphere. I came right before it got too crowded. The background music is nice. I ordered the Baltimore Crab Cakes with a side of fries. They came out in a timely fashion and I was pleased to get two crab cakes. The crab cakes were fresh and tasty. They didn’t taste like they had a lot of fillers. The fries were hot, fresh, and seasoned well. I tasted the Ribeye and it was delicious. It was very tender and juicy. I also ordered the Caramel Cake and Peach Cobbler. They were both delicious but I’d highly recommend the Caramel Cake. At about 9pm it started to get live. A DJ started playing music. They played great music and gave complimentary cocktails until 10pm. This restaurant is definitely a hot spot in Atlanta. Frank Ski’s a nice spot to have dinner, converse, and relax as long as you have money.

I can only vouch for the night club experience as I did not have any food. I came here a few months ago, so I’m super late on my review but overall it was a decent experience. Came on a Friday night with some friends for a birthday party, seems like a pretty large space the DJ booth is tucked in the back, I’d just missed Frank Ski’s set which was disappointing because I’ve heard him spin before and he is really good. The 2nd Dj was playing some pretty old music, the crowd was definitely 30& up that night. Not complaining because it helps when it comes to not worrying about a rowdy crowd and troublemakers. Drinks weren’t very strong. All in all I would come back perhaps on a different night to give the food a try. Valet was fast and also there was no cover at the door.

Thumbs down! Went on a Friday about 6:30p until about 8p. Drinks were severely over priced! Spent over $ 32 plus tip for 2 drinks. Food was not impressive, it was over price, small portions, and basic food. The place was empty as heck. I would avoid this spot. They have TVs mount everywhere playing a fish aquarium computer screen saver. Music sux. I’m not sure what they trying to do here! Completely disappointed. Parking was free valet. The staff was actually pretty cool. But whom ever is running this place is terrible! This place will close very soon! I heard Saturday nights are much better with the crowds and music but I need about $ 500 to go back to this place, and to me it doesn’t seem worth it. They need to get it together, way too many other options for this crap! Oh I forgot about the restrooms, they smelled awful, smelled like someone used it in the hall before u walk in! It was foul. The stank didn’t match the ambience, it smelled like a hole n a wall club.

I went on a Saturday night with my girls’ and we were greeted by two very polite valet men. The cocktails were weak, I asked the bartender to put a little more liq in… and it was smooth sailing from there. Cheap priced food & drink around $ 10-$ 15. The bar area had a nice crowd, young Black people around 30 – 40, just jamming and enjoying the music. Which brings me to the topic of music, Frank Ski himself came to Dj and it was kind of wack. He played multiple songs three times in a row. And since the event was played live on 107.9, it was all censored. I plan on giving their Friday night event a shot. Stay tuned :)

My Fiancé’s best man planned an engagement party here, and it was sad from beginning to end. It was suppose to be a party and the set up was more like a school cafeteria, no atmosphere in the event room and the service was disappointing. The front of the restaurant had a lively club atmopshere, but that’s not all I was expecting from this venue. Sadly, I heard so much about how classy and nice this place was, and it simply was not. The next day I took a guest to «The Flying Biscuit» in Decatur and I was told that it made up for the night before at Frank Ski’s. Really?

Fish Tacos were great!!! Where do I begin… Well, I will say this… I love the vibe, the music was poppin’ and I will definitely try the place again. We decided to stop by while in the downtown area a couple of Friday’s ago (so under dressed), I really didn’t know what to expect, but we were just in time for Happy Hour and they had a really nice $ 7 happy hour menu. I ordered fish tacos and a long island tea to start, my friends order wings and peach martini’s … the food, drinks and music was so good we decided to hang out a bit and order dinner. I order the seafood pot pie, my friends ordered the red snapper and the chicken fettucine. The food was somewhat pricey, my pot pie was $ 23 and I was finish within 10 mins, lol. After I was done, my feet turned red and swelled like the marshallmellow man which was clear that I had consumed to much salt. My friend which is a chef also complain that her fish being a bit salty. I completely enjoyed myself, minus the tab and the salt ;-) but all and all I had a great time and will definitely return for the happy hour menu and music again.

I love everything about Frank Ski’s Restaurant and Lounge! All of the staff is extremely pleasant, and genuine when assisting you. From the moment you park your car until you receive your bill, the staff remains professional and courteous. The music is mellow, the food is great, the service is impeccable, and the drinks aren’t watered down. I’m from New Orleans, and I love my seafood. The crab cakes has never disappointed me. It’s like eating crab directly from a blue crab. Always fresh and tastes amazing, this is the best crab cake I’ve had in the city. The all-around atmosphere is that of a relaxing one for a mature crowd, which we lack here in Atlanta. Every chance I get I’ll go to Frank Ski’s and enjoy myself, it’s that great of a place.

I went to Frank Ski’s a couple years ago and it was ok. I enjoyed the food but it was extremely loud. The speakers were excessively loud and my party and I had to speak in between beats or sets… Haven’t been back since. I was with a chef and she was a bit taken aback by the seafood potpie bc it was doughy once it hit the inside. I had a Autumn Sangria… YYYEEESSSSSHONEY. I’m in town visiting my best friend for a girlfriend weekend and we decide to go to Frank Ski’s on a Saturday night. Our reservation was for 8:30 and we were seated on time. However… there were issues as soon as we were seated. First, on the phone(prior to making the reservation) we were told that as long as we had a table we were fine once they started the DJ/dancing portion of the night around 10/10:30. But, as soon as we arrive(surprise, surprise) the hostess tells us we have a 2-hour limit.(She was either wrong about this or the policy is not enforced because we and others stayed at our table well beyond 2 hours.) Second, the waiter rubbed us the wrong way by being very inattentive throughout the night and little comments he would make(for example, telling us to be sure about our drink order because«they [management] don’t like it when the customers send drinks back»). Since when are paying customers supposed to care about what management likes or dislikes? Third, the food didn’t warrant the price. I couldn’t believe that a $ 23 seafood pot pie had only 1 shrimp! The calamari was also a joke and didn’t command the price tag. Fourth, out of nowhere they turned the AC on blast and we asked THREE times for it to be turned down, since the vent was blowing directly on us. Thirty minutes later, we are still freezing. Eventually the manager came over, who I must say did her best to turn things around. She moved us and gave us a free round of drinks. After we moved we had fun listening to the music and dancing, but I doubt that I’ll be back. All in all, it might be a cool place to go dance and chill AFTER you’ve eaten somewhere else. But I wouldn’t recommend going for the food.

Hi Unilocalers, I came here to celebrate a close friend’s birthday. While the experience wasn’t terrible, unfortunately I was not impressed. I also left with a feeling that I overpaid for food. If you are a native or experienced Atlantan you already know that this used to be the location for Mick’s Restaurant which honestly was better. The atmosphere is nice. People are friendly, but I sincerely do think that the food is way overpriced for what you get here. I could tell from the menu and definitely when the food came out. I ordered a side of asparagus with my main course and $ 6.00 bought me 3 pieces… with a little bit of cheese sprinkled on top. That’s all. I wouldn’t recommend this place for dinner. Atlanta has an abundance of choices and this place is getting away with sub par food for ridiculous prices. If you want to come grab a drink, then cool but nothing else…

We celebrated my birthday here last night. When I first got there it was so packed, and I was very annoyed because people were just standing around and looking very simple. Also we had reservations but they didn’t follow through so they wanted to charge $ 300.00 for a section with one bottle… we were like H NO! One of my friends was irritated because the kitchen closed down and she was very hungry. At this point we were all annoyed and were deciding on leaving until we got some drinks in our system and started dancing on the dance floor. The dj was playing all the right songs. Then Frank Ski decided to dj and he had the entire place turned out. He gave two rounds of free drinks. I think once everyone started drinking and dancing, people’s moods turned around. You couldn’t help but to enjoy yourself. The crowd was grown and sexy(25& up) and there wasn’t any ignorant stuff going on. What I thought was going to be a sour night turned out to be pretty good. I will be going back to Frank Skis soon.

I was here yesterday for a birthday gathering and I must say that I enjoyed myself. As a unit, we enjoyed ourselves. The music was nice as they played a variety of current hits and hits from the 90s to early 2000s. For us to have had a party of 10 the waitress handled herself, rather the task at hand very well. She was attentive and friendly. We ordered an array of dishes and when everything arrived it looked great, smelled great, and tasted great. There was not a complaint to be heard. I ordered the appetizer Chicken and Waffle and also the appetizer Shrimp and Grits. Como se dice«bomb» in espanol?! Translation… they were very good and I recommend them. Lol. The only negative comment that I have is in relation to the seasoning of the chicken which I felt could have used a little bit more of his secret blend. It was fried perfectly though! At some point Mr. Frank Ski himself sauntered over to ask about our overall experience which we gladly expressed our satisfaction. He was even kind enough to pose for pics. Mr. Ski(is that a last name?), either way, you have yourself something good with this spot. Keep doing what you do. To the chef… Sir, you are the truth! Lol

I didn’t know what to expect I’ve always heard of the infamous Frank Ski’s restaurant so I decided to go Friday night with my best friend. So it was 9:00 p.m. right of the bat I noticed that you can’t hold a conversation because the dj is blasting club music which was irritating. Service was great I can’t complain, my meal was awesome I can’t complain, but majority of the wines were out of stock, I had to reorder my wine 3 times, which was annoying. Oh wait did I mention that I had to pay to park, it’s a public parking lot why do I have to pay? Honestly it was okay, not the best, not the worst it was just okay.

One of my dear friend’s birthday was 2 weeks ago, and after the shite outing we had at Whiskey Blue, we decided to go elsewhere. When they told me we were going to Frank Ski’s, I was about to say, OHSHIT! I had NOIDEA what we were going to get into… First of all, I had no idea where it was or what not… But I heard it was the old location of a Mick’s(haven’t heard that name in a while!!!) right off of Peachtree, close to the gateway of Midtown. The one thing that didn’t help out the evening was the parking set up. You go down a narrow street that houses like 4 other clubs and multiple businesses. Its a dead end, 2 lanes– and the very front is FS’s valet– which was full… What an fin bottleneck! So I drove further, paid 5 $ to some random dickle, and I tired to park… in FOUR different spots! Every spot I parked in, was either for another club, or a tow away zone(which was horseshit, since those bizes were closed, mind you this was after midnight). I finally managed to get a spot that was literally one spot away from a tow away zone… Christ… By this point, I didn’t know what to expect of the evening… I met back up with our party of 8 at the front door– and we were let right in(I guess we had VIP reservations, right on!) — that was cool. Then the dirty looks came… As our group was def a minority– not that I cared! On our way to VIP, there was a nice gentleman guarding VIP, and he made sure every lady was able to make it up the steps, as he held their hands and shined a light– what a badass! We got seated immediately on the patio, which was covered– it was awesome since the outdoor speakers was just as awesome as the indoor ones, and we could see the dance floor on from the outside– that was cool! I won’t lie, the tunes DJ Tayrock played all night were hit after hit– besides a World Class DJ playing the decks, this was one of the best DJS I have heard spin– for the 3 hours we were there, I only heard 2 shit songs! Our server was Tony, and he was awesome– he was friendly, quick, and very attentive(after I saw how much money he made off us, no wonder why! I want his job!)… My buddy decided to get a bottle of Ciroc for the cheap price of $ 300– it came with all of the mixers… Too bad the bottle lasted 15 minutes(I only had a drink, as I had the pleasure to take the bday girl home) — if that… And decided WTF, WHYNOT, lets get another bottle, its only ANOTHER $ 300… While the majority of the group was enjoying their time at the couches, I took a lady-friend to the dance-floor, then the inside bar. We had a blast! Mike, one of the bartenders, was awesome, and very friendly– I would go back to see him and Tony! Next thing we know, it was time to take some photos and wrap things up… So closing time came, and it was time to pay the bill– I told my buddy I would throw him some $$. Go figure, I ended up covering the tab(which was fin $ 730 on 2 bottles and tip!) — which I SODIDNTSIGNUPFOR… And I didn’t feel like going to jail so I stepped out to the plate and whipped out the emergency card… I told my buddy he is forever indebted to me! I am just glad we made ends with the house… Aside from the shit parking situation and the ridiculously high bottle prices(thankfully beer was only $ 5 a bottle), I had an awesome time, and got to meet some great people. I am def thinking about coming here for my bday in December! PS– did I mention this place is a restaurant in the day time, and serve brunch on Sundays?!

Ok so this place is new and I don’t know if this is why all the workers were angels or what? Fiancé and I pulled the random card and decided to roll up after church round noonish. There wasn’t cars parked in the lot so we unsure as to whether they were open or not. I asked the valet guy and he said yes, and parked our car free of charge(of course we tipped) but what a sweetheart. We walk in, and I am surprised as to how interesting the flow of the restaurant was. Nice polished bar on the right with over a dozen t.v.s The seating area to the left was spacious, clean white table cloths with lounge couches as well. We sat in the bar area to watch the game. There was also a DJ booth straight across from entrance. The server was super duper sweet, knowledgable, and efficient. I could kill myself for forgetting her name. After her awesome spill of the menu we decided on Moscato, Sweetwater IPA, Caesar salad, Cedar plank salmon, and chicken alfredo +shrimp. Apparently my fiancé and I were the first to have their brunch so it felt cool to have the place to ourselves for the first 20 mins. The bartender was friendly as well, joking with us. Caesar salad was large and came tossed in dressing. It was fresh and delicious! The chef brought our delightfully prepared entrees to the table and poured my wine. Salmon was presented gorgeously on the plank and it tasted DIVINE! It was accompanied by tasty brocolli and rice pilaf. My alfedo sauce was rich and chef inspired with grilled chix and big succulent shrimp. I am embarrassed to say this southern girl can eat and I had to order the Coco’s caramel«crack» cake. Our server says«crack» was the nickname so I dove in as soon as I got home. It was fluffy, and had AMAZING taste. Next time I will try their peach cobbler or their Cami cakes they support. Honestly, my fiancé and I throughly enjoyed this dining experience. Gotta hit this place up for their nightlife experience on the weekends!(They have a dance floor, and DJ and this place gets packed)
