Horrible customer service. I had brought my instrument in for a repair and the technicians quoted me les time than it actually took. I was quoted a week and they have not even started working on it in that time. To make matters worse they told me that it would be ready tomorrow 5 days in a row! Today I spoke with the store manager Jeremy Metzger. I told him what had been going on. He assured me that what I told him was incorrect. And that the employees at the store did not tell me it would be ready tomorrow 5 days in a row. I felt it to be very condescending that instead of sympathizing with a customer he told me that the complaint I had could not possibly be true. He then assured me the same thing that everyone else there has told me, that it would be ready tomorrow. At this point I would be happy just to see my guitar again. The quality of the work being done is going to be another issue all together. I f I don’t get my guitar tomorrow I will be calling the better business bureau. If anyone is thinking about getting any work done to their guitar I urge you to consider your other options. Guitar center has lost my trust and my business. I have another guitar that I will be changing the pickups on. And I think I will take it to Sam Ash.

Make sure you ask to try out any guitar you’re serious about buying with the specific amp you’ll be using, and insist on playing inside the ‘Platinum” room. Otherwise you will not be able hear hear yourself think, let alone hear the nuances of the guitar. The folks here are very knowledgeable and will answer your questions, but are often too busy to give you much attention even if you’re likely to spend a couple thousand! Be sure to get answers to all of your questions. The repair department is also very good and will generally explain things very well. The return policy is insanely good.
