Disorganised. Incompetent. Incapable. Underwhelming. These are the words I’d use to describe my last experience at Henry’s. I used to be a regular patron and have never seen nor experienced anything like i did on 1÷30÷16. The manager, Nelson, is trying his best to handle the level of business, but you could tell he was drowning and utterly incapably of handling the level of volume that was occurring. To add insult to injury, my guests of 15, were seated outside on the patio where one of the propane lamps went out and there was no way to refill it. Three more followed. Then one of the two waiters we were assigned, seemed as if he was walking through a daze of methamphetamine and cocaine. Our food was consistently late, even as a few of my guests arrived late. Then, the unimaginable happened. They screwed up EVERY check. Every last check. How??? The manager never came over to apologise. Never tried to make amends and left an incredibly sour feeling on our dinning experience. What makes things so bad, this is the 3rd bday dinner I’ve had here. The first two were amazing experiences. This was something out of a Nightmare On Elm Street. If it were not for the Matt, their bartender and the other waiter, Jeffrey, I think I may have blown up so badly and the manager, it would make Pompeii look like a damn Disney movie. Additionally, they should cherish Jeffrey and Matt and not fire two amazing employees. They lost Tom and this is the mess and utter shit show this once awesome place has become.

Great atmosphere for the young and hip. A wide variety of food to choose from and a good drink menu made it a great date night spot. The servers are always really nice but sometimes the service is slow due to the large number of people there. The food is well worth the wait!

Ordered a turkey burger and it didn’t taste like one. Ordered a Moscow mule and it was not right. The server had a terrible personality. I had to pay for a drink that tasted like crap. Honestly worst experience thus far…

Food is mediocre. Service is mediocre. They have no idea how to make a Moscow Mule. Only reason to come here is for the patio– so not even worth it during the winter.

Today’s visit was horrible. Their heat is out so they sat us next to the door. The hostess would not keep the door closed. We FROZE the entire time. Service was slow and non-responsive. Food came out at room temperature. One meal was not cooked to order at all. Staff was apathetic at best. I will not be returning.

No serious options for a vegetarian. Noisy, hipster. Please fix your @$&!! door. Everyone struggles with it. Watching something on the television when the manager had it changed and they INTENTIONALLY did not care what we were watching. Didn’t even get to food this time. Have eaten here a dozen times and it’s been inconsistent. Shame. Has a lot of potential. Not a lot of options in supporting gay business in the town. Best thing they have going is their bartender. He’s friendly and efficient.

Typically a good place(one of the best outdoor areas in midtown) but my last experience was just bad. Sat at the bar and had the wrong order delivered. When the problem was ‘corrected’, it was actually the wrong order again. Sadly, I could tell it was really rushed so just did not taste very good. To top it all off, I was charged for the extra components that were associated with the incorrect order.

Henry’s is the perfect midtown pub. It has friendly service, good food and a fabulous patio. I’ve been here for dinner and for brunch. At dinner I had the meatloaf sandwich which was good but the real star was the Parmesan fries. Very good. I did start eating them with a fork because I didn’t like the cheese all over my hands. But good. We also had the ahi tuna pizza appetizer which was a little messy(maybe a smidgen too much sauce) but had a generous helping of tuna and was delicious. Brunch was the classic Benedict. Simple and straightforward. Perfectly poached egg. Hollandaise had a little something unique to it — almost a slightly Cajun taste. It was good. Everything I’ve tried has been good and priced appropriately. I have not been wowed or blown away yet but it is a very solid joint where you know what you’re going to get each time.

The scene and location are great. The food is terrible(too much garlic in burger and meatloaf; runny gross nachos — they should not collect water). Service was slow and some of the most in-attentive waiters I’ve experienced(i.e. Doing shots while we are waiting to order)

Fun atmosphere! Definitely sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere. Good drink list, nice brunch menu. I had the Kale and Salmon salad; it was quite good!

I still haven’t eaten here and I want to! The food looked delicious. I’ve been to Henry’s several times and always for the patio and drink service. Each time I’ve been there, the waiters are stellar. We always got our seats quickly, orders was taken quickly, drinks was bought quickly, etc etc. And this is a quite a feat since my party ranged from 10 — 25 people each time I was there. Limited parking. Park behind the restaurant or on the street. We usually park on the street since we usually go to another bar afterwards. I’ll update my review after finally trying the food one day!

We really enjoyed our dinner here. Sat on the patio which was absolutely WONDERFUL. Easily the best part of our dinner. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. We ordered the nacho’s for an appetizer and they were really good. I wish there were more chips because we had some yumminess left on the plate afterwards. We both enjoyed our entrees(chicken sandwich for me and a burger for the hubs) but they weren’t amazing or anything… just good food. When we got the bill, we noticed we were overcharged for our 2 drinks each we got. On the menu it said the martinis were $ 5 but were ringing up for $ 7.50. My husbands drink was supposed to be $ 6 but was also ringing up for $ 7.50. May not be a big deal but because we had 2 drinks each — the difference was $ 8 which in my mind is a decent amount. We retrieved another menu to make sure were just weren’t remembering the prices wrong — nope. We brought it to the attention of our waiter who said he would go talk to the manager and be back. It took about 10 minutes and then he was back with the«fixed check». While my husbands drink was changed, mine wasn’t. At that point we just said screw it, and left. If the drink mixup didn’t happen, I probably would have given them 4 stars. Either way, we didn’t let it spoil our really enjoyable dinner.

I hovered between 3 and 4, but since I’m a dog owner, I had to notch it up to 4. Henry’s has the best outdoor space in Midtown and you can bring your dogs to sit on the porch. The waiters are very accommodating and usually offer dog treats or a bowl of water. The food itself is better than most bar food. I really like their chipotle hot wings(another reason I’m sticking with 4 instead of 3 stars). The burgers can be hit or miss. Sometimes they are too soggy or not seasoned well enough. It just kind of depends. Henry’s is really good at the basics. It has a good beer selection, a capable staff, and a fun environment.

Had the fried chicken. Crispy skin. Awesome kale stir fry. Mac and cheese was a little lacking. Service was great. Ambiance was nice. Loved the recommendations from the bar tender and loved the Ruby Rode drink even more. Love thats it’s close to my regular hotel. Takes card.

Henry’s Midtown Tavern is the 8th of 8 stops as part of «Eat the Peachtree 2015 — Electric Boogaloo!» — this is the return of the world’s largest world’s largest 10K-themed pub crawl. 108 clicks, 108 stops, 108 dishes, 108 drinks. 1 epic afternoon. Locate all the posts along with an intro if you search my blog with ETP2015. We walked from restaurant to restaurant in search of the best flavors and drinking venues in Atlanta, while enjoying the same sights as you would while running the Peachtree Road Race. You can find Henry’s at 13210th St NE, Atlanta, GA30309 on the left driving towards Piedmont Park. This used to be the location of Jock’s and Jill’s back in the day. The bar is extensive and well maintained with great outdoor seating. As the last location on our ETP Itinerary, we sat and enjoyed the air conditioning and watched the opening of the Women’s World Cup on several of the many flat panel TVs littered throughout the space. The crowd here was very enthusiastic and enthralled by what was happening on screen. The interior is quite a bit nicer than the exterior with higher end finishes and more upscale furnishings, atypical of a pub. The menu is fairly extensive with many pub-food style options. After looking things over and deciding to skip the hotdogs, we settled on some apps. We also enjoyed a few cocktails, of course. For apps we did the parmesian fries and the chili fries. While these were OK, they weren’t anything special, pretty much typical bar food. The service was good but the waiter seemed a bit distracted. Still not a bad experience, but with all the good restaurants we visited today this last was the most lackluster. As the final stop, we entertained the idea of heading over to Takorea, but then decided to call it a day. It was about 7:30PM or so when we completed ETP2015!

We walked the block looking for a place to eat and finally settled on the near empty«sports bar» type spot. We were told to have a seat where we wanted, and were greeted. I’ll start of with the food. No complaints at all. It hit the spot and we got our fill. The artichoke dip was great and I split a burger. Everything up to this point would have been 4 stars until service. As a server, service is always my bugaboo. But it also allows me to be flexible and understanding. The biggest thing to me is that you don’t want your table to know you are not having a good day. Our server was inattentive, bored, and absent. So much so that I thought about going with 2 stars. But it wasn’t that bad. He did offer us free shots of tequila, but it was 3PM and there was a big AA convention in town. I would come again for a drink with a buddy or to watch a game at the bar. Food was good and environment seemed good.

Henry’s is located at the corner of 10th and Juniper Street. I’ve been to Henry’s twice now within this year. Based on reviews I’ve read on Unilocal, the business started off kinda shakey when opened back in 2013. But so far from my experience, it has all been great! The menu is pretty extensive but covers appetizers(get the crab cakes!), hot wings, tacos(Tuesday Tacos for $ 2), burgers, salads, soups, sandwiches, and main entrees. AMBIANCE Love the ambiance here! I’ve only sat outside on the patio both times I’ve dined. The patio is amazing! It’s built around a tree so there’s shade say on a sunny day. It’s beautiful. FOOD Tacos — prices vary from $ 3−6/taco l all delicious! –Spicy Fish(Cumin and cilantro cabbage slaw, jalapeño mayo, cilantro) –Spicy Crab(Chilled jumbo lump crab salad, avocado, strawberry mango salsa) –Pulled Pork(Salsa verde, queso fresco, red onion, cilantro) Salad –Kale and Salmon(Seared salmon, green goddess dressing, avocado, crumbled feta, toasted hazelnuts, pickled onion) So good. Definitely would get this again. It’s healthy, refreshing, and tasty. SERVICE The servers/waiters/waitresses are always lively and attentive. Water glass never goes below half-full. Thumbs up! During one of my dining experience, the manager walked around and checked on everyone. Thumbs up!

Came here for brunch and had the classic eggs Benedict. It was good overall — eggs were poached well, Canadian bacon tasted good and not too salty and hollandaise was fine. The menu wasn’t that exciting considering it seems popular for brunch — no omelettes, no pancakes? But maybe those aren’t really Southern brunch items? I also was surprised the eggs didn’t come with a side salad or something. I know I can order something on the side but they seemed overpriced when I’m use to places having it come with the entrée. The restaurant is huge! Inside is very big and the outside patio is amazing. Lots of tables under the shade of trees. Service was great — very friendly waiter and hostess. I can see this place being a great spot of happy hour or drinks with friends.

We arrived at Henry’s about 10 minutes before they opening on a Sunday. Not a problem. They said have a seat wherever you would like. They have a really nice outdoor patio with lots of space. Our waiter was very friendly and was always smiling. He even brought separate checks without us even asking. The brunch menu seemed a bit small missing some essential breakfast items. I opted for the burger with the Parmesan fries that I read so much about. The burger was a bit overcooked, but I’m kind of use to restaurants doing this. It’s one of my pet peeves. The famous Parmesan fries seemed to just be fries sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Overall the meal was decent, but the outdoor space was really the selling point.

We came here for a late brunch on Easter, because my sister said that it always looked like fun. The atmosphere of Henry’s was young and hip and everyone seemed to be in a good mood. The food was good — Mom and I ate earlier in the day so we drank some mimosas and shared an appetizer, while my sister ate her main entrée. We also opted for the oreo cheesecake which was delicious and was big enough to split amongst three people. The only complaint I had was that music was extremely loud and it was very hard to hear people at my own table or to even concentrate.
