Iverson Park

We would walk through this park or along the sidewalk many times when we were living in Candler Park and it’s pretty easy to miss if you’re not looking closely. It’s a bit raised off of the road and sidewalk, but there is a fantastic field for all types of sports or fun and a pretty fantastic playground. Lots of fun playground equipment that I haven’t seen at any other neighborhood park.
Note: The field portion of the park is pretty prone to flooding and staying pretty soggy after a full day of rain. I’m sure the drainage of this park is a bit poor due to the location, but just take note that your shoes may get pretty muddy.
I love this little park, though. It’s a fantastic asset to the neighborhood and I’m sure the rest of the residents enjoy it on a daily basis as well.

I first came her with Coach Michael from Crossfit Rx. He taught a class here about falling safely and rolling.
The park has been quiet every time I’ve visited. It has a small playground for the kids, and dogs seem to love it here.
I come here mostly to shift gears from work mode to gym mode.
