I haven’t eaten here lately, but the staff is friendly and they have great food! Their wings and Macncheese are to die for! They catered a late night breakfast finals event to GSU a couple years ago and I was hooked!

No one ever answers the phone drove to the building on a Sunday and the building is very hard to find. Need better signs and someone to answer the phones. You’re losing business.

I love Kenley’s. I frequented this place many a day while I was a graduate assistant in the citizens trust bank building. The food is a decent price and it is soooo good. The baked chicken is falling off the bone good. The macaroni is always good. You can tell it’s been baked and it’s not out of the box. They offer a variety of items even a dollar menu if I’m not mistaken. I always get the baked chicken, fried chicken, philly chicken, or chicken strips. The tea mixed with lemonade is the bomb! Try it! It’s a Black owned family establishment so I love to support. Mr. Kenley can often be seen working behind the counter and he greets everyone with a smile. I know the employees here so we chop it up every time I come in. The pictures on the wall of Mr. Kenley and all of the celebrities that I’m assuming have either come to Kenley’s or he catered food for them is astonishing. I no longer work in the building but I still drive over when I want some good southern style food.

Excellent southern food. The people who work there were so friendly and nice. We felt as if we were visiting old friends. My husband and father-in-law had breakfast and my mother-in-law and I had lunch. We loved every bit of our food. We used a Groupon coupon but you don’t even need to because the prices are excellent. We will definitely visit again.

Kenleys is your classic family owned, made with love, soul food restaurant, that I randomly stumbled upon and better for it. The menu is a little confusing and the décor takes a second to take in, but the place has great food! The turkey burger, mac n cheese, and greens are all good. My personal favorite is the yummmmy delicious ~$ 2 fish sandwich which they serve during lunch. Make sure to add the hot sauce to it before leaving!

Would probably count this review as more of a 3.5 stars, if I could. Kenley’s is an interesting little joint on the first floor of the Citizen’s Trust Building. The first thing that struck me was all the framed pictures of who I assume is Mr. Kenley from previous Unilocal reviews, with tons of different celebrities. They practically covered all the walls. In the back behind the glass is a variety of dishes that you can pick and choose from, such as pulled bbq, green beans, cornbread dressing, mac n cheese, etc. There is also a super super cheap menu of 1.50 items. I ordered the fish sandwich and a turkey corndog, each for 1.50. It took longer than I expected to receive my food. The fish sandwich wasn’t bad, but it also tasted a bit over-fried and could have used more tartar sauce. The corndog was a corndog. I think I leaned toward giving an extra half star just because the food was so cheap and because the lady operating the cash register was so sweet, but I don’t think I can round up to 4 because the food was A-OK.

I’m going to be the«Negative Nancy» of the bunch… I have visited Kenley’s hundreds of times. I use to work in the Citizen’s Trust Building. I only recommend Kenley’s if your on a serious budget or you have a passion for attaining heart disease or diabetes! I must say they have really cheap prices which is rare in the area. It’s hard for students of GSU and employees to get a cheap meal but SERIOUSLY folks… I have tried their wings, a chicken wrap, a fish sandwich, the Philly sandwich, the hamburger, the lunch hot bar and various breakfast items. I have never been pleased with anything there except for hot coffee, cheap soda and packaged snacks. Everything is seasoned well but it’s so greasy you want to kill yourself. Yes, it’s kind of cool that the walls are covered with pictures of Mr. Kenley with all of the celebs but notice you don’t see any pictures of them eating there. The radio station 107.9 use to be located in the building so Kenley got free promotion. Notice none of the pictures are recent. However, all is not terrible. I would recommend their hot breakfast bar and his wife sales Girl Scout cookies. You usually can’t go wrong(greasy aside). Besides that… I have nothing.

The first thing you’ll notice about Kenley’s, other than the small size, are the photos covering virtually every square inch of the walls. Actors, musicians, politicians, it runs the entire spectrum of fame, with one common denominator among them all, an incredibly happy Mr. Kenley Waller. His joy radiates through every one of those pictures and you can’t help but smile back at the unfiltered happiness. The second thing to grab your attention is the steaming«hot bar» filled with Soul food. There’s a good selection to choose from with everything looking very delicious. I suffered from decision paralysis, so I went the safe route and ordered a fried chicken sandwich. For being a «safe» choice is was damn good. They served it simply with lettuce, tomato and pickles, not drowned in condiments like some places. What I loved about the sandwich was the crispy, flavorful breading with a touch of spice to it. Crinkle cut fries were crispy as well and not too salty. Overall I liked this place. It’s packed with more atmosphere than other small cafeteria style joints and offers home cooked favorites. Next time I’m diving into that hot bar.

I just stopped by today after getting rerouted on a lunchtime walk. Im very glad I did. The place is a bit small, but they move people in and out very quickly and give good service. I was pretty impressed with the fish and greens, but the peach cobbler will make you wanna slap somebody. I would get a lawyer before you try it… its that good.

Kenley’s is a quaint place located inside Citizens Trust Bank Building. I’m a huge fan of their mac & cheese, jambalaya, and baked chicken. Peach cobbler, hot wings, and good ol’ Southern sides are some examples of the yummy food that is served here. Every inch of the walls are covered with framed photographs of celebrities who came to Kenley’s, such as John Legend and Pink. With all these celebrities’ visits to Kenley’s, you know it must be a big deal. 2 sides, sweet tea /lemonade & an entrée costs around $ 7.00. This place gets crowded very fast during lunch hour. Get there early before the favorites(i.e. biscuits, mac & cheese) disappear quick.
