The question with Manorism, for you as a potential customer, boils down to this: Which to buy, custom or existing pieces? As Todd P. put appropriately in his review, these folks have a unique, quality selection of items from far-flung places. My mistake as a customer, though, was to engage in a custom-table order that was a trainwreck from the beginning. definitely resist any idea that you might get an on-time, quality, signature product from this company’s Indonesian vendor. With one successful custom table under my belt, I figured a dining room table was a no-brainer. I was dead wrong, as it turns out. According to my own wood-analysis guy, the builder in Indonesia didn’t dry his or her wood properly, and my custom table split in the top in four places — irregularities that a) only starting showing up after about 12 months and b) compromised the visual and structural integrity of the piece. Here’s where the problem came in for me, with the«customer’s always right» mantra — I was side-stepped, slow-talked and criticized at every step in the process when I brought the issue to the owners’ attention. Somehow, this was a miraculous, one-off issue that they had never seen nor imagined before. After dragging their feet for months, and me waiting for a response, I asked my wood repair guy to evaluate the problem and send them an estimate. They refused to pay, and then suddenly gave me a six-day window to return the table for a full refund. Seriously? Am I just gonna drop it on your doorstep? I have all the e-mails to back up these issues, and am happy to produce them. I eventually decided to stop communicating with them and eat the money it will take to repair it. The table was around $ 1,700 and it will cost an additional $ 650 to repair it now. Totally, completely disappointed with this place as a result. What’s amazing to me is that a little customer service would have gone a LONG way with me given our track record. But that simply didn’t happen and I’m calling them out on it. Manorism product selection is three stars; their treatment of me and their handling of this table situation is in negative territory. Again, if they make good I will change my review. in the meantime, do NOT custom order from this company/store.

I love the stuff here. Really lots of great furniture. Definitely unique. Quite a few of the pieces are rough cut and give a really nice worn in look. All high quality here. I don’t think they have any particle board in any of the pieces. Sadly though it does come at a price. They offer delivery and setup services. If I could I think my whole pad would be decked out in stuff from this place !!

Unique pieces at reasonable prices. Manorism has an interesting collection of furniture, from rustic to modern. I recently bought a new dining table from here, and while I was waiting for them to prepare it for pick up, stumbled across a great entertainment center made of stained, solid teak that I thought would make a nice addition to my living room. It didn’t have a price on it, but since I was also buying the table they gave me a great deal that I couldn’t resist. So easy to spend money here! Check them out and browse around a bit, but beware — you may just end up buying something.
