The old location was so much better. Now you have to pay for parking and/or über to get here. On top of paying the cover you can’t dance! You have to wait in line. At the old location you just were able to dance and enjoy your $ 5 cover and dance. I wish they’d get rid of the cover since we spend the majority of our time in line and now having fun. I hate this is basically the only lesbian club. If you want to wait in line and get yelled at for basically nothing you should come here. Update: they are no longer charging cover to get in but they are to get on the dance floor and they doubled it on top of that– it’s not $ 10 to get to the part of the club everyone wants to get and once they’re sold or they no longer sell wristbands. Someone else needs to compete with them because here ripping us all off.

Most of the staff is NOT friendly, it doesn’t matter who you are, with the exception of a couple of people, the staff is rude — the policies and ‘rules’ are there for the convenience of the staff, and are not customer focused. Drinks are fine. Security staff is laughably ‘serious.’ It’s really too bad, it’s a good location. They would make a lot more money with more friendly behavior, and more customer focused policies.

Went there very late last night(probably around 12a). I live nearby so I stopped in to have a drink. The vibe was startlingly weird. It was dark, few people were in there and they were very young and dancing oddly to themselves. The drink was fine but the atmosphere is strange. You’re better off going to Flip Flops. They have a great vibe, wonderful daiquiris, and they are right down the road from this place.

There brunch is horrible for an outside patio they sure don’t use it that well. And what a great location all the restaurants and bars next to the place has great food the food is horrible there for brunch.

Why is this the ONLY bar on Crescent Street that feels it necessary to pat me down before I walk in? And more to the point should I be patroning an establishment that caters to the level of clientele that needs to be patted down before they enter a bar to have a drink at 9 o’clock? I think we all know the answer to that question and I will have no problem spending my money and every single bar on Crescent Street other than this one!

They got rid of the pool table and replaced it with a makeshift beer pong table. This was extremely disappointing. The drinks are less watered now than compared to when I first went a few months ago. However, the trade off is that there’s a cover now.

I used to frequent this place often because I live two blocks away. However I have recently decided to no longer bring my business there because I was yelled at by the owner because all I wanted to do was dance, I wasn’t drunk or obnoxious, all I did was leave a note at the DJs table to say«we want to dance». I even spoke to the DJ and they agreed with me. They have drag shows that are at the peak of the night(I.e. 12am) that I think ruin the vibe of the club/night. My brother and cousins have been DJs for over 20 years and I have grown up around the club scene. If you were to go to a straight or most clubs you would be able to enjoy an entire night of un-interrupted dancing. The DJs are sub-par and their drag shows are untimely. It started with a packed room when the music was on, but when the show started people started to leave and be bored. Friends actually left because they got bored and the show went on much longer than anticipated. I want to support lesbian owned places but with my recent experience and the consistent lack of «good music and dancing» I’m rating this place a 1 star and potentially not bringing any of my business to this place unless I am begged by one of my friends to go there in the future.

I like the spot, crowd is cool and staff is friendly. Only things I dislike is the lack of parking and the your crowd(18 year olds) I’m 32, not really trying to party with kids.

A bar can really live and die on its staff and this bar certainly goes above and beyond in that respect. Not that that’s the only thing this place has going for it, it’s just notable. The people who work here are very friendly and competent, the atmosphere is relaxed(even if it is occasionally flooded with baby dykes with their jagerbombs and their fitted caps and their Ke-DollarSign-Has), and the beer selection is quite good. It’s conveniently located as well, which is excellent, because when I need to drink away the infinite sadness that is graduate school I don’t want to have to remember too complex a route.

Ok. so i rated the last location with 3 stars. I’ve been to this new location twice now and I’m a fan. I hate the layout though. That back area really throws me off. Anyways, that’s besides the point. I was a little iffy about them leaving EAV… BUT it really was a great move. I just like the vibe so much better at the new location. Although I still feel like everyone is clicked up… I see a lot more diversity here. The front patio is perfect for this weather. The dj has either stepped up her game or changed. I had a blast!

While i like the more centralized location of the place, that comes with a big downfall of dealing with traffic in the more congested area and pay-for-parking when the old location had free parking. That’s a downside, but thankfully we can park a little distance away and walk to alleviate that. The much bigger issue is the layout of the place. The dancefloor is separated upstairs, versus in the old location where you walked into the dancefloor, and even the pool table area was right off it so you could hear the DJ. So to enjoy music and dance, which is what i really go to clubs for, you have to go upstairs because the downstairs is really just a bar(and a pool table area). You can’t hear the DJ music and there’s no room to dance. The problem is that, once the dancefloor upstairs gets«at capacity», you have to stand in line to get up there, so if no one leaves, no one is getting upstairs. In the hour + that i was there with friends last night, we never made it upstairs. The line was always long, starting on the staircase to get up there, and it rarely moved. I don’t go to clubs to stand still in a staircase or on line to get to the dancefloor. MAJOR buzzkill. I might try it again, just earlier in the night, to try to get upstairs, but i never experienced this at the old location. Maybe if they charged to get upstairs like i read they were going to do in the Georgia Voice, it might have alleviated the situation with less people willing to pay, but maybe not. But, honestly, until they find a better fix to address that(expand in the building or outside it, or pipe the DJ music downstairs, etc.) than to just«get there earlier in hopes of beating the crowd», we more than likely won’t be back. We were a group of about 10 people, we enjoy good drinks so we tip well, and we love to dance(and MSR has always had the better DJs due to their inclusion of hip-hop and pop r&b to the mix) and have a good time, so it sucks that we feel we can’t support this business in the new location. I hope they find a way to fix this.

What a very nice place for women and friends to gather. The bartenders are on point. The dj enthuses. The ladies are class. This is the next best Friday night blastoff.

I have been coming here for years! This is a great bar with good food and a great atmosphere! I love Karaōke on Wednesdays but mostly come to just hang and dance on the weekends.
