Absolutely my go to place for a mani/pedi. It’s no Sugarcoat or Nouvelle if you are looking for a more spa type place, but you can’t beat $ 31 for a mani/pedi in the heart of Buckhead. I love Christine, she is my main nail tech, but have had all of the others and they are great too!

I took a friend to the Christmas Tea at church, where she won a door prize of a mani/pedi here at Magical Nail and Tan. So she said it was only fair for us to go together and split the cost of the second. Since she insisted… She’d called to see what availability they had around 12:30 and was told that 2:30−3 would be best. We showed up around 2:15, but they didn’t seem to mind that we were early. We needed the extra time to pick the perfect Christmas Red shade, anyway. We had a lot of polishes to look at as they have a huge selection of OPI and essie colors on opposite walls. They also had some gel polish at the counter, but we didn’t notice it until we were walking out. Christine was running the show, and she was so welcoming. She made sure to learn our names as she seated us in the massage chairs. She mentioned how many other of the regular customers had the same names as we, making it feel that this was the kind of neighborhood salon where all the customers know all the technicians and trade stories about their families. As Christine worked on my hands and Tammy worked on my toes, this was reiterated as friendly faces came and left, exchanging hugs and stories about children. The mani/pedi itself was very good with great attention to detail — taking plenty of time to get all the dead skin and give a good massage. The mani/pedi was $ 31 plus an extra $ 2 for the nailtique quick-dry topcoat for my hands. The only things that detract — my finger got nicked, and the technician working on my toes had a game of Words with Friends going that she would momentarily check in on as she was working… It’s no Nouvelle, but it’s a nice price for a friendly neighborhood mani/pedi. Update: I’m not sure how long a manicure is supposed to last, since I rarely get them, but mine was chipped within 4 days later. I expected more from the nailtique. #Yelp365 — 351⁄365
