I WILL NEVER COME BACK, AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU!
I’ll get right to the point. Linda is a very good nail tech, so this negative review is not about her.
I made an appointment for a gel mani and pedi. One person was doing my pedi while Linda did my mani. She was soaking and removing my previous gel. Then some random nail tech with glasses came to to «help». Well, she started scrapping my nail to remove the gel. I told her to stop, then realized she scrapped my damn nailbed! 3 nails on my left hand are so freaking thin. Pissed is an understatement. I told Linda to not have anyone else touch my hands. I felt like they were trying to rush me with extra scrapping of my old gel versus giving my hands adequate time to soak. Then the gel would have came off naturally.
I told the manager of my disattisfaction with the «glasses girl» techniques. But she didn’t really say much either. Kind of like, they’ve heard this story before.
A rush shop indeed. Never again!
If you are looking for a pristine nail salon in Buckhead that takes their time with soaking your nails, please check out Serenity Nail Spa on Piedmont and Peachtree Street. I wish I would have gone to my old faithful salon versus going to one that was closer.
Now I have to deal with the consequences of rebuilding my nail bed’s strength.

Not the best quality and the people that work there were rude, to say the least. I had a friend who went and they cut her foot and continued to make her pay full price — I tried to give it a chance due to proximity, but I definitely won’t be returning.

I’ve been here twice and my nails turned out fine but the overall experience was awful. Both times they’ve been really rough on my cuticles and made me bleed. The technicians I’ve had are just rude. The woman who did my recent pedicure acted like doing my nails was an inconvenience AND challenged the amount I left for a tip. The experience wasn’t at all relaxing and I don’t plan to go back.

Walked in and was immediately greeted with a smile. The décor is beautiful.. Full color selection of polishes.
Nancy did my nails and was so nice. We spoke the entire time. Lele did my toes and she GIVES A MEAN FOOT RUB!!! I didn’t want her to stop.!!
My total was 55 for a pedi and full set!!! I will def be going back to this place!!!

I am 6 months pregnant. My feet was swollen so I wanted to treat myself to a pedicure and relaxing massage. …BUT…instead had a TERRIBLE time! First of all they made me wait like 25min… then The lady filing my nails also file my skin! When they were using the acetone my skin was burning to a point I had to use towel to blow them cuz it was burning pain… I told her it was painful but the second time she did it again with the acetone. No apologies and the massage was nothing. Literally like 2min… I was so upset about it I almost wanted to walk away no pay… you would think that being pregnant she would of been more considering but Nope! I am NEVER coming back nor would I recommend this place… don’t be fooled by the fancy new remodeling they did. They suck!

I have been going to Nail, Talk & Tan since they opened about 16 years. I must pass 10 nail salons to get to them, but would not go anywhere else. They never rush and always do a good job. I love Mimi and all the girls there. I love the extra massage option too!

I come to this nail shop every week if time is permitting. Otherwise, every two weeks.
Typically I receive a manicure (natural nails) with glitter on the ring fingers adding a paraffin treatment OR extra neck massage.
Almost each visit I ask for glitter on my ring or pinky fingers… They have NEVER EVER charged me for the glitter that their PAINTING on either finger JUST LIKE THE POLISH.
Today, I didn’t have time to get a full manicure but wanted a polish change until I can return for a full mani.
I was told to sit by the younger nail tech (who I’ve never been waited on). Once I sat I tried to initiate conversation and she was short with me.
I asked «how long have you been doing nails?»
She replied «too long.»
I said «I can tell.» (Based on the piss poor attitude-​which I’ve never gotten from any other tech in there).
Two minutes pass and she called someone on the phone, spoke in her nativelanguage and advised me that it was going to be extra for the glitter.
I told her that they NEVER charge me for the glitter, it’s essentially like polish. You’re not laying on any stones or decorations, it’s polish.
She says «well they don’t ask.»
I ask her «is it on your menu up there?»
She says «Well I don’t think so but I called and she told me extra.»
At this point I’m getting pissed because you’re basically telling me that I’ve been coming here for at least EIGHT MONTHS… and now you want to charge me to get glitter BASICALLY BECAUSE IM NOT GETTING A FULL MANICURE today?!
She’s proceeds to tell me «well they never ask that’s why they don’t charge you.»
I tell her go ahead and paint my nails anyway.
She says «well you can pay me first and pushes my hand OUT of her hand.»
I lost it.
Moral of the story, THEY WANT TO LICK EVERY DIME OUT OF YOU IF POSSIBLE. This is why they stay on you «Would you like to add scrub or… would you like to add extract 10mins.»
The service is already CHEAP! I don’t mind paying the extra when it’s EXTRA… nor do I mind tipping as I ALWAYS do!
But I won’t allow you to nickel a dime me because TODAY I ONLY had time for a polish change! I’m here almost every week.
Did I mention that I came back to this business after my CUTICLE was CUT (by the older and mean lady with the ponytail) here before!
That alone should have been my NOTICE TO NEVER COME BACK! Foh

Staff was terribly mean to me and snapped at me… I wanted to cry. Also was rushed and cut me. I just moved to neighborhood and was looking forward to having this be my go-​to place but I will never come back.

I popped into Nail Talk and Tan for a quick eyebrow wax and finally got to check out the new space! It is gorgeous! The salon is much bigger now and there is good spacing in between the pedicure chairs and the manicure tables. They also have rooms in the back where you can now go lie down and have your eyebrows waxed (before they just sat you in a pedicure chair). I can’t wait to come back for a mani/​pedi!

Mimi always does a great job with my eyebrows. My mani and pedis are always the best; some of the best I’ve ever had. I love that give neck messages also. I really just love this salon. The NEW location (in the same shopping center) is amazing!

The people here are always so nice! My husband and I love coming here together — he gets a pedicure with calf muscle massage while I get a spa pedicure!

Please read if you care about your heath:
I had a gel manicure at this place and gave a 30% tip because the service was nice and the lady seemed to take pride in her work.
2 days later the paint + my real nail cracked midway on my thumb.
I went back to ask for a fix, which they did with acrylic powder and super glue.
The manger insisted the crack was because I hit my thumb against something.
I’ve done gels 3x before at another place; I actively work out (cardio and weight lifting) and have never EVER had my nails chip or crack under any condition.
1 DAY LATER… my middle finger cracks, my thumb recracks and another nail is about to start. My nails were already cut short so I was freaking out cuz the thumb was snagging on everything no matter how much crazy glue was stacked.
I had to go in the pouring rain at 5pm on Sunday to look for a nail salon that was still open in my area. The manicurist there said the paint came off way too easily after heating them up the gloves. When I made a comment about the gloves being way heated compared to Nail Talk & Tan, they warned me it was likely that the gloves were not heated well enough and therefore the solution that binds the paint onto the nail didn’t settle correctly.
I have strong natural nails my whole life but they look like shit now.
I doubt the legitimacy of the nail technician certifications of Nail Talk & Tan because how could you mess up someone’s nails so hard.
I’ve been doing everything possible to not have my thumb crack earlier than possible, and there is no way in hell I will ever go back to any nail salon on this planet ever again.

Go to another nail salon but now I’ve changed and I will never go to another salon but here. I’ve had the best service and not to mention the sweet friends I’ve made at this establishment! If you’re kind and patient they will treat you with the same kindness and respect. Great manis and pedis! I usually got to Hieu, he’s very good at doing my gel polish manicures and I love having conversations with him!

I’ve been coming here for years. Mimi is great. The majority of staff does a good job with gel and pedicures. Depends on who you get. They are very good at getting you in quickly. Great massages!

WORST manicure I’ve ever had, I’ll never go back.
3 of my fingers were bleeding and got infected because my cuticles were ripped off and she cut the skin on the sides of my fingers. The woman who did my nails was in a huge hurry for some reason, rushing through my manicure and she kept looking at the door & away from my hands the entire time.
My fingers still hurt and have scabs from this manicure. there are so many other places to go nearby, DO NOT go to Nail Talk & Tan on Peachtree.

Eyebrow wax — yes — great job
Lip wax — no — left ½ of the hair on top of my lip to nose on one side white the other was waxed…
Mani/​Pedi — definitely no — don’t understand English, kept cutting even after I said «yes that hurts, stop cutting».

I always go to Hammond Nails — I stupidly went in this other place because it was nearby where I was meeting friends for dinner. Big mistake!
1. They charge $ 30 for gel nails manicure (the cool new Gelish polish that lasts for 2 weeks). Everywhere else around charges $ 20-​$ 23, even near Lenox and in Buckhead. What a rip.
2. The lady asked if i wanted the «extra massage» — I CLEARLY said NO — I am in a hurry. — just the basic please.
3. It took FOREVERRRR… literally an hour and 15 minutes for a gel mani. So much for being in a hurry, my usual time for that is 40 mins tops at Hammond.
4. When my tab came it was $ 35 — I said WOW that is a lot! She said (suddenly no longer able to understand English) — «oh you say you want massage! It five dollars.» Um, no I did not say that. I tipped her a few bucks less than I normally would have, I think she got the hint that I was NOT happy.
Today i am picking gel polish off my cuticles and from under my nails. Not only was she slow, but she sucked and made a mess!
Avoid this place at all costs, there are WAY too many options around to go to the Nail Suck and Tan! OH not to mention the women who work there are SO loud, always yipping at each other, the matriarch of the place is super snippy and bossy, and I think the women really hate their jobs. i don’t blame them.
