Pier 1 Imports

I have been a few times for household items but this time the level of service was at the top of the charts. There is a short back story for this trip to Pier 1.
It all started for an anniversary for some friends; 2 years in marriage and house shopping. I volunteered to take them around town to see some properties they were looking at and surprised them with some champagne and drinking glasses to surprise them. It worked well but the glasses were too talk for the cup holders when they wanted to sit them down and yeah some bubbly was spilled on the carpet. No big deal, I just needed classy glasses that would fit better.
That’s the story, and that is what brought me in the store. After browsing awhile it was hard to tell which glasses would fit perfectly, preventing accidents like that from happening… in case I wanted to do something like that again. After visually trying to gauge I asked if I could take a few out to the car to test them. The manager declined and said I would have to pay for them first. She proceeded to offer me a measuring tape to measure the cup holders. This was not a bad idea but not what I wanted to do.
She began to probe inquiring about why I needed drinking glasses for my car. I guess it was weird but I did not feel like going into so I gave her just a little bit. She was not a drinker and could not understand why I was doing it. Was I drinking and driving is what she was getting at ultimately. No.
I forget the salespersons name who jumped in to help but she was a salesaver. She interjected saying the manager obviously did not drink and told a story of how she took her parents out and treated them with drinks in the car (I think her parents or someone she knew) Either way, she got it! She got me! Yes!
She started helping me search for glasses. We picked a few and took them outside to see how they would fit in the car, which was right outside the door. After 2 trips, and about 6 glasses later we found a near perfect match. They were grip-​able, stylish, the perfect diameter and a good height. I just needed 2 but with your help and in case one breaks I will take 4 lady. Hey, I like that pillow over there for my couch, give me a couple of those too. She made me spend more money than I intended too because she was so helpful. I greatly appreciated her and wanted to let her know if she were to ever read this. Good service is hard to find. Acknowledging your outstanding customer service lady at Pier 1 Imports. Even though they were just drinking glasses, you will not be forgotten.

I can not get enough of this store… my home is starting to look like their displays! Lol!
The customer services is amazing… not overbearing and not lacking. The associate who helped me pick out my table settings definetely has a flair for design. He understtod the look I was going for and nailed it! The prices are affordable and the quality high. I brought a pair of champagne flutes that broke (my fault) and they tracked down replacements and exchanged without receipt (I always throw them out) and with a smile. Im a loyal customer.
