Still the best nursery around. Incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable associates throughout the property from the guys helping to load cars in the parking lot and keeping the shopping carts at bay to the plant specialists inside who never make you feel foolish for asking amateur gardener type questions to the fast and accurate check out folks. Beautiful plants and all trees and shrubs come with a guarantee! Amazing and wonderful as I need this!

I know nothing about plants, flowers or trees. But the employees here are extremely helpful

My husband and I were dashing around trying to get a Christmas tree one weekend evening in December. I checked on Unilocal for«Christmas tree,» and this nursery was close and open, but not for long. When we arrived, however, we saw that they were acting under extended holiday hours. I really appreciated this, because it meant we could browse for our perfect tree instead of rushing in and out with one. Every single person we interacted with at Pike was warm and friendly. The fellow in the back with the trees helped me look for the right size. The woman at the register chatted with me. She explained the Pike rewards program to me when I asked, and she got me signed up. I didn’t have any questions about anything that night, but I got the feeling that these people knew their industry, too. I’m actually really looking forward to going back to Pike Nurseries, because the selection was more than I expected, and I really wanted to look around more! I love-love-love plants, and it was great to find a place that could be a one stop shop. The tree we found, by the way, was perfect for us. There wasn’t a large selection of smaller trees, but we found one that worked and took it home. Even with inadequate watering, the tree stayed green until after New Year’s Day. We felt taken care of at Pike, and we’ll come back! Thanks for such a good experience!

So disappointed at our last visit! We get all of our plants, flowers and many gifts at the Roswell Road Pike and have always had a wonderful experience. Last night we stopped by to get our Christmas tree and ran into the Grinch! We looked at several trees and asked our older kids to look as well. Many employees greeted us on the way in. Unfortunately, the employee in the tree area was not feeling so friendly. She asked the kids not to touch the trees and seemed irritated when my husband moved one towards the lighted area. It was 30 minutes before closing and she asked us if we were buying one or not. She was so rude, I thought it was a joke. Our cashier couldn’t have been friendlier and thanked us for coming. Head to Lindbergh Pike next time and avoid the one grouchy employee!

Not the biggest Pike Nursury in town, but it definitely has some of the nicest people. I’ve been by a few times over the last year but I just stopped in today to pick up some plants for Mother’s day and the service was awesome. I am pretty lost when it comes to gardening, but the staff was quick to pick up on the clueless look on my face as I wandered around the store. I had an idea of what I wanted, but they helped me narrow down my choices and now I’m the proud owner of some new fruit trees. They even loaded them up in my truck and wheeled my cart back. I also think it’s awesome that they have a lifetime guarantee on trees and shrubs. Hopefully we won’t murder them but it’s nice to know we can try again if we do. Hats off for that, Pike.

A lifetime guarantee on plants without having to keep the receipt(thanks to their log via your phone number)? And free coffee/hot chocolate and water? And the best selection of plants in town? And the most knowledgeable staff? Pike’s makes gardening super simple and easy. They tell you what to plant where and when, and again, its guaranteed.

Looking for a Christmas tree we were driving by Pike’s and saw where they had 7 ft Fraser Fir trees on sale for $ 29.99. We figured you could not beat that with a stick and decided to drop by to see what they looked like. They were actually pretty nice looking trees, so we decided to buy one. Not only was the tree lovely and at a great price, but Pike’s offers exceptional service as well. From the staff helping us pick the perfect tree, the cashier’s ringing us up with a smile, to the guys outside trimming the tree and loading it on top of my suv for us. Once we got home and put up the tree we realized we didn’t get a 7 ft Fraser Fir tree, but a 9 ft one(score!). The tree looks wonderful sitting in the corner with the light and ornaments hanging on it. Next year, I’ll certainly be back at Pike’s to get my next Christmas tree.

whats not to like? I came in in the middle of the day on a sweltering hot day and it was nice and breezy… not cold or anything, but i could certainly shop for plants in this atmosphere. Everything was immaculate and well laid out and the service was excellent! Very helpful, all smiles although they didn’t have what I wanted…(a scented germanium). I also love the way they have complimentary coffee and bottled waters! They do seem to be a bit more pricey than other nurseries but I also know them to have good sales as well.

After buying a house that was a rental property for 30 years, we have our work cut out for us in regards to the yard. We started tackling it little by little. Lucky for us, our neighborhood Pike Family Nursery is just over a mile away. We started with a massive plant purchase — azaleas, forsythias, quince, and Italian blue cypress. The best part — these shrubs are guaranteed FORLIFE, not just a year. So hang on to those receipts and if it ever dies, bring in the stump, and they’ll replace it. Of course, they’ll give you lots of advice to keep it from ever coming to that. They’ve got their own blends of soil for different kinds of plants, which takes out a lot of the guesswork. Also, it seems the employees have grown everything on premises in their own yards at one point or another, so the advice is first hand as to how to handle — not just what they read or were trained on. Their people are excellent — very friendly and helpful. If they can’t answer your questions, then they find the employee who’s there who can and send them your way. We went back today after a year to get instructions on fertilization particularly after the ice storm. Before anything else, we were instructed to grab a cup of coffee or some water. Then the employee standing at the front asked us what we needed, listening to all our requests, and pointed us in the right direction. Within minutes, another employee came up restating our questions to offer advice and more direct assistance. I was glad that he offered us organic solutions right from the start, saying that you could go with your standard fertilizer, but that they’re too harsh, and then showed us all the different sizes, rather than trying to sell us on the largest and most expensive thing that he had. The only minus is that it is a little on the expensive side. But I think in this case the lifetime guarantee and all the knowledgeable advice is what adds the value. If this spring-like weather inspires you, stop by Pike for anything and everything you could need for your green thumb. #Yelp365 — 29⁄365

The selection and the staff are what separates this chain of nurseries from the garden centers of the big box home improvement stores. Pike is a good choice when you’re looking for some new plants for your house or for something a little different for your yard. The staff here knows a ton about their inventory and can talk to you for a long time about what you need for your garden or yard. Even the guys who are busy unloading and moving new plants and trees seem to have a good handle on where everything is located or at the very least who to talk to to get some help. It’s almost always busy at this Pike location, so there can be a bit of a traffic jam in the parking lot at times. I wish there was more parking due to how busy it gets, but the store itself is great.
