I just wanted to give a shout out to Pub 71 for helping me with my Oktoberfest party. It was difficult to find German food in Atlanta for a reasonable price. I asked the owner if he could help me with my party and he customized a menu for me. All the food was ready on time and was delicious. The pretzels were like they were straight from Munich! The brats and spatzle too! The owner also took the time to give me a list of beer pairings that would go with the food. This made the beer run much easier! Thank you Pub 71!

Pub 71 is a great place for drinks, but that’s about it. They have a very eclectic menu of beers however most of the servers aren’t educated on the beer selection. The food is average and extremely over priced. It shares a hectic parking lot with 2 other restaurants but those two other restaurants can deliver better drinks, better service, better food and for a much better price. They allow smoking on their tiny patio so sitting outside is almost always uncomfortable. The bathrooms are extremely small and often dirty. I usually only go here for saint Patrick’s day or for drinks with friends.

My first time here while on one of my many trips to Atlanta; decided to grab a beer and some food with a buddy. The food was decent; we started with the pretzels which we both enjoyed and I had the turkey reuben with Mac and cheese. The reuben was good albeit a little heavy on the dressing however the Mac and cheese was awesome. I think what impressed me the most was the bar staff. My buddy and I both enjoyed the draft beer selection and the top notch service from Javier and George. Both were very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the good service and great conversation they provided. This is very much a locals joint however I felt very welcome here and enjoyed the experience. Overall, it was decent pub food, quality beers on tap and top notch service from the bar staff. I’d certainly stop in here for a pint again when I’m in the area.

Omg. Their freshly baked chips?! YESSSS. Instead of feeling completely guilty, I just felt a little guilty for eating an entire bag of their baked chips. Soooooooo delicious! So pub 71 is located right by mellow mushroom and hudson grill. Parking can be a paaaaaaaaaain. I found the last spot on a Tuesday night around 7:30PM, so I can only imagine what it’s like on the weekends. Some people say you can part at the bank next door after business hours, but I’m not sure how accurate that is. When you walk in, you have the bar on the right, high top tables on the left and seating everywhere else. They also have an outdoor patio. They have tvs around to catch all the sport games. I really liked the look and feel of this bar. It helps that I have a liking towards irish pubs. The servers were really nice and helpful. I only had appetizers, but they were great. As I «discreetly» mentioned, their house chips were my favorite! I really like homemade tasting chips, so these were perfect with the perfect amount of salt. I also tried their buffalo wings, chicken tenders and nachos. They were all pretty solid bar food. The chicken tenders weren’t as crispy as I thought it would be, but the meat itself came out fresh and hot and very tender. I’d like to come back to try out their burgers and fries!(I was definitely eying people’s foods) They also had trivia night when I was here, which is always fun. I think it started at 8PM. It can get a little loud in here to have a quiet conversation, but the patio is much quieter. Overall, the vibe of this place is great for happy hour, kicking back and hanging out.

Wanted to get a bite to eat at pub71 since every time we have gone has only been to drink. Sat down and asked the waiter for a gluten free beer(I can’t have liquid gluten ATALL or I’m sick for 5 days in a row). She quickly brought out a konig ludwig wissenhier. After a couple sips I knew something didn’t seem right. We waived her down and she reassured me it was gluten free twice. I continued drinking and started feeling sick– I googled the beer and found wheat was its 2nd ingredient(filled with gluten). She came back and I explained the beer had gluten and her response was«shit– well I’ll take it off your bill» and that was it. No sorry. No sorry for the fact that I’ll be sick for the next 5 days due to her ignorance and the lack of training this establishment gives their servers. After our fish and chips, which was horrible, came out late(15 min after the other guests at our table received their food) we finally got out of there. Concerned about the situation I called in to make sure to speak to a manager to let him know how serious it can be for someone who cannot metabolize gluten to drink it. His response was that I shouldn’t have came to drink if I can’t have gluten– no apologies of any sort– this is management doubling down on their ignorance which makes me 100% believe they don’t train their staff with the following appropriate knowledge 1) understand the customer is always right 2) what beer has and does not have gluten and 3) respect for patrons at their bar. do yourself a favor– skip out on this place and go to neighboring mellow mushroom or Hudson grill– they have great food and an appreciation for their customers.

2.5 stars. This place is very average. Nothing stands out. I wouldn’t go here on my own but I wouldn’t refuse to go here either. Service isn’t great but not terrible. The buffalo chicken dip is good.

Okay, I’ve now been here around ten times or so. There are obviously some regulars who sit at the bar all the time who get precedence over everyone else. But hey, those’re the perks of being a regular. Pretty standard Irish pub and I’ve always had a great time. On the few occasions that I chose to order food here, I didn’t really have anything worth recommending but it wasn’t bad for pub style food. I suggest this place for an after dinner drink after coming from Mellow Mushroom, Hudson, or any of the other Brookhaven dining establishments in the area.

I can’t speak for the food here, because I’m not sure I’ve ever had any. However, I can speak for the bar. The bartenders are great, always so kind and ready to go out of their way for you. Trivia is Tuesday’s and all days are fun days :)

Really, this is a review a long time in the making. I ate at the chef’s last restaurant. In fact, I was a regular. You can even look up my review of Chef Enes’ old place that regretfully closed down. It took me a long time to follow Chef E to his new place, but I am certainly glad that I did. I go to restaurants for the food. I know food. I don’t drink so I can’t speak to the alcohol really. It looked like they had a well stocked bar. The atmosphere was definitely Irish Pub like. Wooden floors and booths, everything was clean, TVs with good viewing angles. It would be a perfect place to stop by have a drink and watch sports if that is your thing. My thing is the food, and the food is superb. Right now, they have a World Cup menu. Most countries that are a part of the World Cup get a dish. You can ignore any review on here that says the bulk of the food is frozen or not house made. That is simply not true. I was treated to a large sampling of the menu and in no particular order I had pot stickers, Bacalao Fritters, Fried Cheese Ravioli, Pan De Queso, Pieroski, Arepa con Carne, Piljeskavica, Spring Rolls, and Feijoada. I couldn’t being to review every dish with specifics but I will definitely cover the highlights here. First, the Feijoada. It is a hearty Brazilian stew that boasts a deep red color. The beef is ultra tender, the sausage near perfect and the beans provide an excellent earthy finish to it all. It is a comfort stew and its finest. The Arepa Con Carne was my personal highlight. A perfect cooked Arepa that included cheese covered with meat and lingering sauce that left a nice long spicy flavor in my mouth. It put every other Arepa I have ever had to shame. The Pieroski was a homemade bread stuffed with meat. The bread was epic and I immediately began picturing other things that I could stuff it with. That isn’t anything negative about what it was stuffed with either. Just that… I enjoy a good bread and this ranks up there. A crisp outside crust with a soft middle, perfectly warmed. The Pljevskavica is a large flat pressed burger on pita bread. Perfectly seasoned meat and some of the best pita bread I’ve ever had. The eggplant sauce that comes with it adds the best finishing touch you can have. Bottom line, the atmosphere is perfect for what the place is designed for. You can drink, watch sports, have a good time and the food is prepared by an extremely talented chef and it shows. What other Pub can offer a dish from most countries in the World Cup? Authentic dishes at that!

Decent, but not exceptional experience. Very friendly servers, and good sized portions. Casual, gets rowdy sometimes. If you want a more upscale Irish pub experience consider driving a few minutes to Fado’s. (NB: the sweet potato fries come all sugared up. If you’re into that, great. Otherwise be sure to request them plain!)

Strictly based on dining experience during lunch. Never had beer there(i know, why am i even writing this review?) or an event at nighttime. Their steak salad is generous and delicious. Their salad had everything! avocado, eggs, cherry tomatoes, crumble blue cheese, bacon and carrot bits. The steak, however, was rather disappointing and chewy even though I asked it to be cooked medium rare. Another lunch special, grilled seafood sandwich was good too. Also, I’m left under the impression that you seat yourself because usually I’m left just standing by the door waiting longer than expected to be seated.

Ive been here numerous times to drink but never even browsed the menu until tonight. I ordered the pretzels as an appetizer and they were delicious. I have a pretzel problem and they’re probably the best I’ve had– including mellow mushrooms garlic parmesan ones. I chose the Smoked Turkey Rueben for dinner and my honey ordered the Chipotle Bison burger with pepper jack cheese. Both were pretty damn great for bar/pub food. We sat on the patio with our pup and watched the Braves game. They didn’t have any cider beers on draft but Strongbow which is my least favorite but our waitress suggested a snakebite– mix between their cider and Stella and I was really happy with it! Chill neighborhood spot, don’t expect any bells an whistles because they’re not out to impress anyone.

Annndddd another update on a favorite old Brookhaven spot since I’m back in the ‘hood right now… In keeping with my recent strategy of trying«new to me» things I ventured for something different at Pub yesterday. Met a dear friend who’s had a rough week or so like me(who enjoys getting rear-ended and dealing with insurance, etc??), and Travis the bartender was super nice. I had been thinking the gyro that I used to enjoy but now it’s only occasionally on the menu as a special. So I went for the fish tacos — something I enjoy whenever I have them someplace good, but very rarely order. Theirs are lightly battered and friend cod with lettuce, cheese, pico and flour tortillas, with just a little cream sauce. Yum. Really digging being back around here.
