The location was convenient, but the beer prices are high and they are only open til midnight. They also did not have all the beers on tap that they claimed to have. I did not try the food, but the people with me who did thought it was meh.

One of my favorite places in Atlanta. I love the staff and they remember me each time. The food is great! Brunch is truly a winner. For dinner, try the rabbit or the fish and chips! Great variety of beer and nice absinthe menu. Love love love!

I had been there with my family during the Memorial Day weekend. Our server was obviously very busy. It took her a very long time to even come take our order. Half the things that we asked for, were not available. The service, in my experience, was not at par with what I had heard about the place. It was either that they were not prepared for a lot of crowd during the Memorial Day weekend or they were just super unprepared.

Stopped here for lunch on a business trip. Service was nice and friendly. Wide selection of draft beers. The food was average and not a lot to choose from. Had a very hippy feel to the food and atmosphere.

This review is focused more on staff and less on the food. Just finished the most miserable brunch ever. Sat at the bar to enjoy their French toast special and instead got a front seat to watch the sheer terror unleashed by a tall burly Head Chef on the cooks preparing the food in the kitchen. He barked out orders and yelled at them non stop. Not sure how the guys in the kitchen maintained any degree of sanity through the madness of it all. As for the food, I ordered the French toast which was huge and looked incredibly promising but the big burly guy drenched it in a pool of syrup before it came over. I tried to enjoy my meal nonetheless but the Head Chef’s behavior never let up. He was belittling and disrespectful— and not discrete about it at all. I’d give a lower review if I could.

Would love to give zero stars, at least the food was decent. Good thing, since we didn’t see our server until the check arrived, I should point out I’m no bumpkin from the sticks going to the big city. We were in ATL for the Paul Simon concert. My husband and I waited at the bar for our table to become available. Typically I would have ordered a beer at a place with«draft» as part of its name. That said, while waiting for our drink order I saw lots is craft cocktails being made. I decided to order a Negroni with our bartender I’ll call«Ponytail».Negroni is a simple, straight forward cocktail, made with Campari, vermouth & gin with a twist of orange in an double old fashion glass. As we waited, I noticed he was making a cocktail with Pimm’s, which happens to be a favorite of mine. Momentarily I was presented with my drink. It was a Pimm’s Cup. I questioned«Ponytail». My «Negroni“looked suspiciously Pimm’s like; brown and in a tall glass with no orange twist. To which he replied«those 2 drinks are very similar». ??? Huh ??? If «Ponytail» had admitted he served the wrong cocktail, I would have been more than happy to drink it. Our table soon was ready, I cashed out with the bartender who seemed to be on charge. I’ll call him«Glasses». I remarked that I’d never had a Campari-free Negroni. He then had nerve to tell me they«make their own Campari, so it tastes like the real thing». ??? Huh ??? Um, Negroni is a Campari invention. Only Campari tastes and looks like(bright red) Campari. I realize it’s only a mixed drink. A crappy $ 10 drink. What has me so pissed off is the utter disregard to customer service, pride in craft and the gall to lie to me as if I wouldn’t know the difference. Clearly they cater to a tourist crowd. No business dependent on repeat customers would be so stupid & short sighted. In closing, I stared at «Glasses“as he fed me the housemade Campari BS with a look that conveyed the fact that he knows I know he is a dirty liar. Take pride in your craft. Don’t be such as ass.

This time it was all about the action while sitting at the bar. The Czech guy and the Head Bartender were busy as can be, yet had plenty of time to wait on us and provide a play-by-play. Yes, we had drinks and food — which was adequate. It was fun watching the crowd in a active setting.

PDH Rocks !!! I have always had great food and amazing cocktails made for me here. If your looking to make somewhere your new local neighborhood bar and restaurant look no further!!! Everything from the friendly service to the mouthwatering food is to die for. It gets pretty busy here during the shows since its right next to the Fox theater but it’s always fully staffed and they make it look easy getting the food out it time and keeping everyone’s drinks topped up. I would have no problem recommending PDH to anyone looking for a hip and trending place to hang out. A big shout out to all the friendly staff especially Nina, Nial, Frankie and Niamh. I can’t wait to get back here again and try out more of their delicious food. I hear they are starting a breakfast menu on the weekends but I’m not sure of the details since I haven’t been there that early yet. Good luck with that. Keep up the great work Guys

Food The food is all pretty good. The lamb burger is great(only if you like goat cheese because they are generous). The fries are probably some of the best in Atlanta. The drinks are all delicious and its a great place to grab drinks with coworkers after work. Service Sometimes the service has been a bit off but that isn’t the norm. Usually very accommodating to people who need to finish lunch quickly to get back to work. The food comes out fast as well. Atmosphere There are two levels and I have only ever sat outside or downstairs. Tables fit 6 people. Eating outside is a bit strange since they don’t have a door and the servers have to go through the back door. The service wasn’t as good since it was harder for them to check on us. And without shade it’s getting a bit hot to eat outdoors in Atlanta. Overall experience A graleaf place for lunch and drinks. Food is overall good(burgers, sandwiches, salads). They have a trivia night but because of the layout of the restaurant l can’t it would be a great experience.

Especially for the price, the food was excellent. All of the menu items, even a smaller items, came with a small little delicious house greens salad, and the service was outstanding. Frankie took exceptional care of us. Frankie recommended the deck quesadilla, which was a great recommendation. It was delicious. My wife got the kale Cesar, which was pretty good, and the Publik Wrap, which was more of a Southwest eggroll, and was very good.

What a poorly run establishment. Literally called 30 minutes before coming to this restaurant for burger week and chuckled at when I asked if they’d have enough burgers for the night and was given a confident«yes, of course» and that they’ll have them through the 23rd. We get there and guess what? We’re told they’re out of burgers and out of luck. Apparently it’s not the responsibility of the restaurant to tell the hostess what they have and do not have. Manager was rude and didn’t give a shit either

After I ordered a beer at the bar and was told they were out, I ended up at PDH on the recommendation of the bartender of the Indigo Hotel(a far different review). I walked in and headed to the bar, I was lucky to find a seat in the middle and while I felt like it took 1 – 2 minutes too long for the bartenders to take my order, when they did it was worth it. I asked Mikel(I hope I got that right) what was good in an IPA on draft and he recommended a few, but without enthusiasm so I asked about bottles and that’s how I ended up with the Boulevard IPA out of Kansas City. OGM — So good! In fact, I stayed and decided to have dinner. I figured since I was drinking KC beer that when I saw the KC strip I should stick in that region and I am glad I did! The steak was med rare and perfect, it was HUGE and came with yummy green beans and mashed potatoes. PDH is located next door to the FOX theatre so while I was sitting at the bar drinking and eating KC the theatre goers came and slammed the bar 2 – 3 deep, I watched the bartenders and the staff at work and it was so impressive to see how they multitasked between greeting, serving and turning — They’ve got it down to an art form! I’ll be back the next time I am in Atlanta — Service, Food and Price are all spot on — TRIFECTA!

We stopped here before going to see Alvin Ailey Dance Theater at the Fox. It was super crowded in here. I guess because of the show. The menu is not very extensive. In ordered salmon, medium well, with potatoes. The salmon arrived, more medium than medium well. I asked for it to be recooked and it still wasn’t to my liking but I ate it anyway. It wasn’t very well seasoned and there was still some skin attached. The potatoes were good but nothing to write home about. The fact that they don’t have happy hour just threw me off. I won’t be back for a while because I only come here during events at the Fox. Maybe next time I’ll see what’s down the street

I went here with some friends to start off our saturday night. Its at a great location near downtown right next to the Fox theatre. I liked the inside, it looked dated and historic(in a good way). Our waitress was super friendly and payed good attention to us. They have a good selection of beers, and a full bar, which is always a plus. I will say that I feel it is slightly over-priced in all aspects, the only food we tried were the chicken club egg roll things on the appetizer list. I think for a beer and two drinks my bill still came to around $ 22, which seems pretty high for that. Besides that, I liked this place.

I would give a zero star if i could… but our server was super nice… stopped by late… the place was super crowded… got two seats. looked at the menu ordered absinthe drink and a brownie… it took 45 min just to get the brownie and another 15 – 20 min to get the drink… the water jug was broken on one side, the brownie was hard as a rock, and very yuck tasting– you can make better brownies at home, never be back…

PDH is a good place to go for dinner before a show at the Fox. Originally, I tried to make reservations, but since they were«booked,» now I know it’s because there are few tables they can reserve. You are much better off wandering in hours before a show. Plus, the wait staff is aware how many people dine here to catch a show, so they’re very prompt and still courteous. House Burger: This was kind of meh. Not much flavoring on the patty and it probably could have used a little more salt/pepper. However, it was cooked to order of how I wanted it: medium. Instead of fries, I substituted with their mac and cheese for an additional $ 3. It was ok, but then afterwards, I realized how much oil/grease there was in here and it didn’t have that Gouda-cheese I thought there would be. Maybe a tad better than your standard mac and cheese and the portion is VERY generous, but not something I would get again. Impressive beer and cocktail list. I mean, you kinda have to here because people want to catch a drink before/after a show. PDH is one of those restaurants I wouldn’t go out of my way for, but I’d come back if I needed a choice in the area. This is just the most convenient because it’s right next door to the Fox.

Went here on a recent Thursday for lunch — large crowd of us(12) were seated upstairs. Drinks/orders quickly taken, and the food delivery was timed pretty well with the number of diners. I opted for the Cuban press sandwich with fries(probably not the best thing to keep you awake the afternoon that follows!), but I had relatively high hopes. Unfortunately, and it wasn’t until I was well into the sandwich, that I realized the pork in the sandwich was VERY salty — almost brine salty. I thought it was that the fries were over-seasoned, but nope, it was the pork. Although edible and not worthy of a re-fire(besides, we were on limited time), I did mention it to our very pleasant waitress. Would like to try the bar area on a follow-up visit.

If you scroll through my reviews, you’ll be able to see that do I rarely, if ever, give 1 star. For this to happen, there has to be a combination of bad service and bad food. Well, Publik Draft House meets both of those criteria. When we arrived, we met two others there that had trouble getting a table for all of us. Once finally seated, things didn’t get any better. I ordered the hummus for an appetizer and was told that they didn’t have any due to the high number of patrons going to the Fox to see Cinderella. Okay, I guess we’ll pass on an appetizer. Fast forward 20 minutes and the table beside us gets a plate of hummus. When I ask the waitress, her response was, «Oh, well they told me they didn’t have any.» Not to mention that we had already ordered, people around us that had ordered way after us already had food, and we waited a total of almost 40 minutes for just our entrees. Once our food arrived, it continued to get worse. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken sandwich, and it was comical to see what it was brought out with. The chicken looked like 1 grilled chicken strip. He asked the manager, since our waitress had been inattentive and unaware, and he said he was supposed to get two«strips» so he took it back to the kitchen. For me, I LOVE quiche. This was he worst quiche I’ve ever had. It was ice cold. Now, I’ve had warm and room temperature quiche, but never ice cold. To top it all off, we were sitting at a high-top table, and the hostess was coming around to «tidy up» and push in chairs, etc. My brother-in-law had one of the stools pulled out a little so he could rest his arm on it and the hostess yanked it out from under his arm and pushed it under the table. Never apologizing, but she definitely knew he was using it. He gave her a «seriously» look and then she started complaining that he pulled the chair back out a little to the manager right in front of us. I eat out on a regular basis, and this was the WORST experience I’ve had in years.

Google: bottomless mimosas. Decision: Publik Draft House. It was a lazy Sunday morning/afternoon and our foodie friend from Texas was in town. Aka, it’s boozy brunch time. Parking wasn’t easy. The usual validated lot had been taken over by the Fox, where they were charging $ 20 for parking. Yikes! One of my friends ran inside to discover the new validated parking was temporarily at the Georgian Terrace for 3 hours free. We were seated upstairs shortly after arriving, even though the place was a madhouse of occupied tables. Bottomless mimosas for $ 15 each came in large carafes with four champagne glasses. The server was awesome in refilling the carafes, even before we asked. We ordered from the brunch menu. I ordered the chicken biscuit. My friends ordered the duck confit, which looked AMAZING. I highly regretted trying to be better than the server recommendation and order something different. My buffalo chicken biscuit was pretty good, but nothing compared to the duck. Prices for our orders were reasonable. We ended up staying for a couple hours, but not too long so we wouldn’t have to pay for parking at the Georgian Terrace.
