True story here. I was having a shitty day and I decided to check this place out with the wife. Beer. Tacos. Rock and roll. Not this bs you hear now a days but legit Van Halen, Scorpions, etc. good tunes. Tacos are legit. My favorite: the Carolina. Many thanks to Julia for being our waitress and we will return.

Was hesitant going in, as taquerias can be very hit or miss. Staff was very attentive, a lot of good-sized TVs to keep me and my buddy occupied while we waited. Had the Cuban sandwich myself, and I was floored. Likely one of the best Cubans I’ve had anywhere. Buddy had some tacos, including a duck confit taco that was incredible, an ahi poke taco that looked phenomenal, and a couple of others that escaped me. Food was top-notch across the board — sandwich and tacos were outstanding, queso was very fresh and tasty, and a trio of salsas, all of which were quite pleasing. Couple that with very friendly and attentive staff, and a comfortable and laid-back atmosphere… There is no doubt that I’m going back, and taking all of my friends with me.

Not bad, not great — here’s a breakdown: Atmosphere –2.5 stars — think Buffalo Wild wings — replace the sports pictures with guitars, you got this place. They had a stage… no one on it yet, but I’m not a fan of loud music, I wouldn’t walk in if a band was playing.(But I guess that’s why it’s called Rock’n Taco…) Staff — 5 stars — Manager came over twice, very nice, really seemed to care, type of guy you hope has success. Waitress sweet as well. Food — 3 stars — had to pay for chips and salsa(BUT –they were worth it — only 2.75, and they had 3 different salsas), SW chicken egg rolls were great, tacos OK, wife’s quesadilla was good — nothing bad, nothing(except egg rolls) particularly memorable. Conclusion — not my scene — I’d go if someone else wanted to, but wouldn’t make a special trip, I’d much prefer going to Teela Taqueria –closer to the house, food pretty much the same, and can bring the dogs there and sit outside when it gets warmer.

This is my second time visiting this place and it was as good as the last time. The tacos range from3−5bucks, nice sized portions and their margaritas are strong, yet tasty. The restaurant is small but their is enough room for you to be comfortable. I like this place way better than tin Lizzy’s. They have way more taco choices and the food is way better period. Their is one taco I wouldn’t try and that’s the duck one, only because Ricardo said it was nasty and he eats everything… I mean he’s a human disposal. Lol so I trust his judgment. I will return to this place but I think I would enjoy it more in the summer, because they have an awesome patio with a great view.

Located off Roswell Rd, Buckhead Triangle. — Tacos are amazing here. So is service! — Weird drunk guy kept bothering me, so don’t go too late. — Overall will come back for more taco action!

Rock N Taco seriously has the best tacos I’ve ever had. Their steak El Gringo tacos are amazing. The blackened shrimp taco with mango chutney is incredible. My husband and I are not the«going out/eating out» type but we will make the 30 minute drive(sometimes longer because of Buckhead traffic) just for a few tacos. Yum! Also had the bartender surprise me last trip there with a strawberry jalapeño margarita. SO good! This is probably our favorite spot in Atlanta.

For being right in the middle of Buckhead, this place is great and moderately priced! I had three tacos — Tinga, Eye of the Tiger and Carolina. All had great flavor. Some were a little lighter on the ingredients then others but the flavors came together very well. I recommend this place for a quick bite especially in the evenings. Food came out quick!

These tacos! My god! We had the al pastor, the Carolina, and the shrimp one with chips and guac(also delicious!) and were extremely happy. So so sooooo good! Plus this place has tequila flights, kick ass Margaritas, a really cool rock n roll vibe… just a great place all around!

I work close to this place so my girlfriend and I decided to check it out. The place itself is a pretty cool design and I would bet at night the upstairs patio is pretty killer! We sat inside because I think it was 147 degrees that day if I remember correctly. Inside was kind of a mess and the servers weren’t really attentive but they were friendly when they were around. Got the Salsa trio and 1 was really good but the others felt like they weren’t really anything worth talking about. Tacos were pretty great! I got the BLT Taco, Duck Confit, and Eye of the Tiger. I will not name a favorite as they were all really good! Also got a Margarita which was not bad not great(I got the cheapest one so maybe that was my fault) Overall I’ll go back. I’ll eat more tacos. I’ll drink more margaritas(I’ll pay the extra dollar next time). See you soon Rock’n Taco… very soon…

Stopped in around 3pm in a Saturday afternoon. Cool atmosphere with two(1st and 2nd floor) patios. Too hot to sit outside so opted for indoor seating. They offer a large taco menu(less Of the Mexican variety, more of the international) for between $ 3−4/each. I ordered the Flat Fish and Gringo tacos, both were very tasty… As a personal preference I asked that they be on corn tortillas, which were excellent! Unlike those crumbly corn tortilla you sometimes get, these held together from start to finish. I also ordered the classic Rocker Margarita which was ‘eh’, too much sweet, not enough sour. Asked for a few more limes and was able to rectify the situation myself. As for the service, I would give it 2 stars, but I don’t believe in bringing down a Unilocal review of a place I’ve only visited once based on service… There was somewhere between 6 – 8 other tables sat at the time with 4 servers. Had to ask for requested item repeatedly, server never asked if I wanted another drink when it ran out, there were dirty tables surrounding us from the time we sat down to the time we left, and had to hunt him down to pay the bill.

The highlight of the menu are the gourmet tacos with a variety of 20 to choose from between 3 and 4 bucks. Unique ones include the Duck Confit, Roasted Lamb and Mediterranean with smoked salmon, capers, goat cheese and a basil aioli. But if you love or even just like Tuna Poke, you are making a mistake if you don’t get at least one of these tacos. I don’t know how they can fill it full of so much goodie for just 4 dollars. This is sushi grade tuna, seaweed salad and a wasabi mousse. As the name suggests, the restaurant features live music. Catch it on Fridays and Saturday evenings. Get there early if you want to snag a prime spot on the rooftop patio. Sundays feature $ 15 buckets of beer, $ 151lb crab legs, $ 10 ½ Dz oysters and $ 5 Bloody Marys. What a great selection of tacos. I tried a few tacos with fish and shrimp which were great but I can’t remember the names. The frozen margarita was perfect but I would skip on the guacamole and chips. The guac tasted bland and like it came from the grocery store, definitely not freshly made and the chips were very oily. Our waitress was nice as well as attentive with quick service.

The tacos and margaritas are really good! I highly recommend the crabby taco! Also the margaritas are made to perfection. The cherry on top is everything is priced great! Can’t beat $ 3 tacos and $ 6 margaritas with a stick. Definitely will be back!

Stopped in on a Tuesday night for a quick bite and a drink. The service was fine, but the food was average. We ordered a queso-type dip that had meat and beans in it, and immediately got turned off when there was that orange puddle of meat grease floating on top of the white cheese. With regards to the taco’s — we got a fish and a veggie taco. Both contained a good amount of ingredients and neither was bad — but I wouldn’t say they were special or memorable. Crowd was typical for this part of Buckhead. All-in-all, reminded me a lot of Twisted Taco — which was also a disappointment.

Seated quickly probably because we sat inside instead of outside. Here’s what we ate. Duck taco-ok Lamb taco– good Wedges-Awesome Egg rolls– yummy Atmosphere was cool. The waitress seemed preoccupied but all in all I’d definitely recommend to someone. Oh parking across the street was $ 10!!!

Food is solid. Service needs help. Atmosphere is… weird?! The food was quite good and the guac actually had some flavor(hallelujah!). Enjoyed my brisket and cluck taco, and the other folks were happy with their respective tacos and burritos. Had to ask for lemons for tea several times and had to ask for salsa(even though we ordered queso and guac). Plus, it was mad empty at lunch, and although we were a big party, it seemed like the guy was running around like a headless chicken. That said, the server was super nice and very accommodating when we needed separate checks and all had Scoutmob coupons. The atmosphere is totally bizarre. Sports, weird 80’s-00’s lame rock music and videos and tacos… I don’t get it, but that’s just me… Looks like they have a great patio for warm day drinking.

Second review – new management and Still pretty great. Cheap tacos, yummy drinks. I wasn’t a fan on the housemade piñacolada, but it was made well. We had delicious spicy jalapeño vodka bloody Mary’s-yum. Also the special salmon and caper hard shell taco was delicious! I’m also a fan of the cluck, carne Asada and tiger stripe shrimp taco. Friends ordered the original beef taco, the Memphis or Carolina pulled pork BBQ taco-not sure of the name…(a favorite) The ceviche shined brightly. It was lobster and shrimp with tomato and avocado and cilantro and onion. Simply perfect. They have a cucumber dill aioli sauce that comes on the lamb taco but I get it as a side. It’s awesome. We had a full table of food too much to eat and it was extremely reasonable. I appreciate that the music isn’t so loud like last time. Drinks were much more consistent and our server, Robbie was excellent. Very genial and very helpful! Even let us complain about our current woes of the workplace after a managers meeting – it was refreshing to get a waiter that gives a damn. Turns out he’s also the manager! I probably will request him only from now on! 10 stars for service 1 Queso and salsa trio, 4 cocktails, ceviche, and 9 tacos later the tab was extremely reasonable. Hallelujah. Happy Monday !!!
