Roswell Package Store

Literally just had the worst experience at a liquor store and it was the OWNER being a real jerk! Roswell Package will definitely never have my business again, first I was told the cops were going to be called because I’m underage when my I.D. was NEVER checked, pretty sure that’s backwards as it gets and then I was told to leave the property, still my I.D. wasn’t checked and I even offered for him to look at it, the problem is the owner was false advertising a price and would not own up to it and said he would get the «correct» bottle out of the back when multiple were behind the price tag which was incorrect when rang up and again was never asked for my I.D.

Today I stopped in to purchase a bottle of wine. The advertised price of the bottle was $ 11.99. When I went to check out the bottle rang up as $ 16.99, but since they do not have a screen to tell you the amount before you pay, I was unaware of this. I handed my card to the cashier without thinking about it and he ran my credit card for $ 16.99 plus tax. Once I received my receipt I noticed that I was charged more than the advertised price. I spoke with the manager and he was very rude to me, basically blaming me for the mistake even when there were more bottles on the shelf for the incorrect price. I asked for a refund and then left the store. After walking out of the store the manager came outside and yelled to the cashier «call the cops, the other guy is underage.» We turned around and to show the manager my friend’s ID, but he wouldn’t even look at it. He told us never to come back. I would never visit this store, nor would I recommend it to anyone. There is another liquor store, Parman’s, right down the street that would be more than happy to have my business.

Nice store with a convenient location… this is my primary store in Roswell for hard liquor, beer and emergency wine. It’s probably disturbing that I have «emergency wine» needs but that’s a whole other story. Good customer service and very willing to make recommendations about brands and wines. Always a pleasant experience.
