First, I’m glad this place is in the neighborhood. It’s a great fit. like the feel, look and products at this place and don’t mind paying a bit more for a local grocer /sandwich shop. However, they lose points for a very disjointed and frequently distracted staff, incorrect menus(items, prices, availability, etc), and the lack of a waiting area for food(if you wait upstairs for a sandwich the whole process of them tracking you down is confusing and annoying). All in all, I’ll continue to go but hope the improve a bit.

An unexpected trip to Midtown with family, had us stumble into this recently opened shop. Once inside you would think you got transported to a shop in Europe. I walked over to the counter and tasted a sample of a turkey sandwich. My family wiped the sample plate clean. We proceeded to order every single sandwich item on the menu. People. this is the real deal. They should just knock off the shelves and just call it Savi Sandwiches. The Turkey, Cuban, Chicken Tikka Roll… its hard to name a favorite. The presentation, the taste, the quantity and the price were fantastic. Each sandwich is a well thought out assembly of meat, vegetable, cheese and sauces; each bread different but apt for the meat and the flavor; each designed to melt in your mouth; each sandwich a work of art. The pastries and cakes by themselves alone will need two pages for raving about how good they are. I could go on and on about each cake, cookie and pastry but you have to try it. I have eaten at Wolfgang Puck further north on Peachtree St. As they say down south. if he eats here«he would want to slap his momma» for not teaching him to make sandwiches like these. He just might modify his last name to rhyme with a different four letter word for despair! This place alone will make me leave the suburbs to visit Midtown for quality food and pastries. Its almost like my favorite Chef and my favorite baker have both moved under one roof.

My greeting this morning walking in with my servive dog. «NODOGSALLOWED». After explaining he was a service dog. She asked to see his papers. Which I had. Tinasha, the sarcastic girl. Went on to tell me, I could talk to her manager if I didn’t like her attitude. Nasty. No Good Morning! !! This is how we treat customers! For their prices $$$$. Greetings should be more welcoming. As I turned to leave she shouted«HAVE A NICEDAY». EASYTOSEESOMEPEOPLEAREINTHEWRONGPOSITIONS.

I am excited that Savi has opened up a location in my neighborhood. I have been in 3 or 4 times in the past 10 days! Really, really wonderful wine selection. Great craft beers, too, most of which you can purchase by the bottle, so it’s perfect for trying new things or grabbing a couple of special brews when you’re expecting guests. They’re also open really late, which means I have somewhere to go when I run out of wine at 10pm. The deli is great, and they have some amazing desserts as well. I have found there produce selection to me limited(it is a TINY store), but of great quality. The items here are pricey, but it’s because they are high quality, organic, etc foods. The prices are very fair based on the same items seen at other locations. They carry some delicious prepared foods that have been vacuum sealed so you just simmer them in hot water(or microwave) to heat them up. This place means I don’t have to go to Whole Foods anymore to get environmentally friendly cleaning supplies. I look forward to coming here often!

Why is this great little baby Eatzi’s(for y’all who remember those glory days) not within walking distance of me? Maybe it’s a good thing I can’t make this a staple stop, but I would simply adore an outpost on Marietta St/Howell Mill… Good prices — I was surprised as I perused, finding non-egregious tags on basics– and enough choices that you can do a «mini» kind of grocery shop that includes veggies(like packages of spinach/lettuce/etc) and pasta, and meat, and broth, and fruit and dairy and… definitely a place to pick up ingredients for a planned dinner-date-at-home kinda thing. Good options for prepared salads, pastas, «lunch» or single girl dinner kinda stuff. Big wine selection. Beautiful dessert case and they carry treats like Swiss chocolate bars that are great holiday gifts! Oh, and a really good selection of the really good kinds of cheese. Mmm. I think my weekend plans involve a return for more good spread.

I am eating a divine veggie sandwhich right now while watching the rain from the upstairs seating area. I am so happy they opened a location in midtown. I already went through all the aisles and found that they sell the same or similar items that I’d buy at whole foods. What a great addition to the neighborhood!

This place has a good selection of groceries and is in a good location just one block from the Midtown station. However, they do have items in bad shape on the shelves, so be careful and inspect them very well before leaving. In 3 times I’ve been there I got something sub par every time. This last time I had to throw away bad milk. The expiration date was fine but the milk was bad. Probably not properly refrigerated.

So excited Savi Provisions opened this week in Midtown. Savi is a gourmet, local shop providing deli foods, bakery, snacks, prepared foods on the go, some organic favorites, wine and beer.

Savi is finally open after months of construction, and it was worth the wait! It’s a great little urban market, perfect for Midtown. They have prepared and packaged foods, some produce, ice cream, toiletries, etc., plus a deli with sandwiches and cheese. Everything is a bit unique, it’s not just the normal stuff from Publix. There’s an upstairs area with tables. A fantastic addition to the neighborhood.

This is yet another location for the Savi Provisions who have 3 other metro locations in Atlanta. It just opened here in Midtown, Atlanta. They sell convenience items, juices, chips, fruit, soaps, tissues, toilet paper, onions, ppotatos, chocolate, and many other drinks and snacks. They also have about 18 or so sandwiches you can choose from on the board. There is a more regular list, and a specialty list. Being new and wanting to try something different I decided to take a specialty sandwich. I decided on the Jay Ho. It said Chicken Tikka mint lettuce, You pay at the register and then you can get it to go, OR you can up upstairs and wait and they will bring it up to you. It was a longer wait than I expected but lets hope this was to being new and figuring things out. If that wait was going to be the usual wait, its wouldnt fly with people needing to get back to their office. SO, hopefully they will think about that and consider selections that take too much time and drop them if they cant be speeded up. The sandwich looked good. They also bring you real fork and knife! Not plastic. That was a surprise. The chicken was quality chicken too. You can tell. It was tasty for sure, but Chicken Tikka? I would have never guessed it was Chicken Tikka in 100 guesses! Either they just dribble on a few drops of a premade Tikka sauce, or this was something else. It tased more like citrus and honey mustard. Still good though, but the description here is not a match. I have no idea what Jay Ho is either. I’m obviously out of the loop now in my advanced years. There are about 10 tables upstairs, so this is a nice feature. It is just south of the Margaret Mitchell house on Peachtree St, same block. I am glad to see this addition to midtown. I will give them 4 stars because I know they are in a learning curve right now. It was obvious many are brand new. They are open Mon-TH 7am-11pm, Fri –SA7am –11:45p Sun 8a-10p I wish them much success in their new location.
