One of my friends told me that this spot had the best new york style pizza in Atlanta so of course I had to check it out. I came to Spin on a Saturday night at around 1130pm and I was completely sober so my experience is not tainted. After waiting outside for about 10 mins, since the tiny spot on Peters Street was filled to capacity, we were finally allowed to enter. It took a few minutes to make our way to the back of the over crowded, extremely loud resturant which barely had standing room available. The crowd seemed to be mostly college aged and a few really old guys who like college aged girls. We ordered our slices of pizza to go excepting the fact that getting a seat at the bar or a table would be like winning the lottery. Spin’s cheese pizza was not very good in my opinion, not even my top 10. My motto is if a pizza spot has a good slice of plain cheese pizza then the pizza is good. It’s easy to camouflage mediocre pizza with tons of greasy toppings that make the pizza taste better. The sauce was too sweet and I’m not a fan of the crust. I don’t doubt that the pizza is delicious after several drinks but I probably won’t be back to find out.

We wanted a chill night with music and I figured why not give this place a try. Plus I had a craving for some pizza. We had two servers so that was nice. I ordered the $ 6 long island and a($ 5) slice of Jerk chicken pizza. My friend ordered the medium Spin meat lovers and another person ordered a medium pepperoni. Everything was great, but it took over 35 minutes for our pizza to come out. BUT, it was because it was cooked fresh. I can let that slide. So fair warning, don’t come starving because you will wait. The long island was pretty good, it was strong and sweet. Mixed very well. I didn’t get anything else to drink. About 10pm or so a DJ set up and started playing the latest Hip Hop and R&B. They also have hookah if you’re interested in that. I’ll come back here with more friends. The pizza was really yummy. One slice was big enough for me. I cut it in half and made two slices. Very hot and fresh.

The pizza is always great. They’re always consistent and the care that the chef puts in each entrée always shows in the taste. They have really tried to stand out in already crowded and saturated market here in Atlanta. Jasmine, one of the bartenders is always attentive and takes the time to make each drink to your liking and assuring that your order comes out exactly how you like it. Out of all the restaurants on Peters St. You can find solace at Spinning Pie. I recommend this to anyway and everyone that is willing to listen. Thanks to all the staff and management for putting in the countless hours to make such a great establishment. Hats off to you and make you enjoy many more years of success in Castleberry Hill.

I’ve been here a few times and each experience was different. If say that the pizza here is pretty bland but the crust is good, not good enough when the toppings lack flavor. I’d say the pizza is okay and they have a good range of toppings. This is a pizza bar so I’m expecting there pizza game to be a little tighter — I wasn’t impressed with the pizza but I wasn’t disappointed either. The service here is just slow BUT the manager does a good job at trying to alleviate any issues, which is good. My drinks were juiced down and the music was okay and for a Friday night. With such a range of bars on this strip, I’d choose another option.

Been a customer for 3 years. My coworkers and I visit at least 3 times a week to have lunch drinks and enjoy their happy hour specials. There are a few people that work here that make each experience extraordinary. Devin always greets us with a smile, pleasant conversation and usually knows our drinks before we sit down. Lala and Devyn are also amazing servers/bartenders and undoubtedly take pride in their hospitality. I know that when I come to Spin I will hear diverse music selections and I will be amongst the eclectic and friendly neighbors of the Castleberry Hill community. I plan on keeping the tradition of coming here and sharing this experience with current and future friends.

Really good pizza. Anyone who knows me well knows that I could eat good pizza almost every day. :-) The drinks were good too. I don’t do hookah, but if that’s your thing this is a good spot for you. The after-hours DJ is a nice touch I’ve never seen in pizza bar. With the proximity to the Atlanta University Center, it became clear to us after just a little while that we were a little older than their normal clientele, but it wasn’t awkward. Had a good time.

The Pizza’s are great, and so are their calzones! My favorites are the Caribbean jerk and the Spinach and Feta. They’ve got Chimay on tap, which is great. I get a little put off by the loud music, but that’s about it.

The waitress was very sweet We came early so it’s always hard to be the opening customers. It took 30 min for two slices. I think I would come back with adults late night after night out. Not with kids or lunch meeting. Pizza should be 3 stars but atmosphere looked messy from night before. I wish I could have done 2.5 this place is probably more after party. I respect it.

Service always slow. Drinks OK but overpriced. I’ve been several times and each time the servers as well as the bartenders are inattentive. Nice DJ tho

This was my first visit to Spin, and I must say that I was impressed with the pizza. I had a slice of the Jerk Chicken Pizza. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned! The thin New York style crust was surprisingly good. While I was there, I noticed several people walk in from the neighborhood to pick up call in orders. This is usually a sign of a restaurant having great food. I will definitely be returning.

This was my second time at this place, first time actually eating. The first visit was cut short my impatience, and lack of tolerance for businesses that treat their patrons like trash and unwillingness to stand up and eat my meal! This place is small with barely enough seating to be called a restaurant. The pizza was not great at all and was not cheap, As some reviews noted. They did not let you substitute on specialty pizzas as noted by other reviewers. They best thing about this place is the DJ, at least the one on Sunday nights is good. The waitress was not very warm and inviting and even less helpful. They did have Long Island ice tea for 6 bucks, guess you can’t beat that! The margaritas were $ 6 as well and an extra $ 1 to add a flavor. Probably won’t ever return to this place either.

My second time here was as good as the first! My first visit was on a busy Saturday night, tough to get a seat with the crowd. However, I visited on a Tuesday and this was less of a problem. I decided to go again with the buffalo chicken pizza-it’s delightful! Chicken, jalapeños, and buffalo sauce drizzle-yummy! You could order the pie which is large enough to feed a group or a single slice, which is pretty big, for $ 5. Now, the real reason I love this place is the atmosphere. There’re a few TVs to catch a game. There’s a DJ playing all the ratchet music I love(yes it’s pretty loud) in the evenings I’ve come and the crowd is pretty chill and social. The drinks are good, and the hookah is strong! On Tuesdays they have $ 2 drink specials, and the hookahs are typically $ 20. It’s right near everything that’s happening on Peter street. It’s like a pizza lounge! Who doesn’t love ratchet music, food and drinks, and hookah all in the same place? I love it.

1 star for the customer service plus 1 star for the pizza equals my 2 star dining experience at Spin. My lease favorite aspect of this establishment is the unprofessional customer service. Staff are extra flirty but not attentive when it comes to refills and checking on our orders. My friend and I just wanted to catch up over food and drinks and as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by some bouncer who had to let my friend know that she’s extra thick to be from New York and that’s how he likes them. Um… Okay hella awkward. Now that we’re seated I asked for waters and the waiter brought 1 cup for me. Again… Another awkward moment because my friend was also a little parched. We put in our food orders around 11:00pm with no idea that the place closes at midnight. The food was brought out after 11:30ish pm and we had no time to sit and enjoy our meals. The nice dimmed lights turned into these bright«You ain’t gotta go home but…»(You know the rest) type of lights. Next thing you know tables and chairs are being pushed against the wall, condiments are being snatched off the table, and our waiter is sweeping next to my feet. I felt so uncomfortable eating as if I was being inconsiderate or something. Maybe I should of gotten the hint when he brought our food out in to-go boxes? Oh well… Nothing was communicated about when the kitchen closes. And when I thought it couldn’t get anymore awkward, our little waiter decided to «whisper» very loud in my friend’s hear about how she should give her number to him. I did enjoy the DJ though, but that has nothing to do with the food and service I paid for.

Great place to hang out with friends. The pizza is decent but today I’m getting the Sausage Roll. Today there is a DJ spinning some Hip Hop tunes.

I gave this place four stars because I really liked their pizza. I took my food to go, but it’s REALLY loud in there. Some people like that, though. Also, never ever order a drink to go. It’s $ 2.25 for an 8 ounce cup. So, that sucked. But their pizza is really good. Not perfect New York style pizza. But it was good. The staff was all really friendly too.

Decided to stop by on Wednesday night after a friend said it was a great spot. The DJ was amazing. Had us dancing in our seats. The service was ok. The drinks were great. We only had an appetizer but it was good as well. Worth trying for the atmosphere and music.

I’ve only been here a total of two times. First time I visited was to see how it was. I enjoyed the ambience so much that I decided to visit again just a few days later. I visited on the day of the On the Run tour and decided to go way earlier to avoid the crowd rush and to get seating. I ordered two drinks, one hookah, a slice of pizza and a refill on the hookah. Please explain to me why Spin charges the same rate for the actual hookah as they do the refills? With the drinks, I didn’t expect anything to be super cheap. But with all the hookah places I’ve visited, I’ve never paid the same price for the hookah REFILLS as I did the actual hookah. So you know what I did? I sucked that hookah dry… literally until dust was flying out that bitch. If I pay $ 30 for a hookah, best believe I’m sucking it until it can’t be sucked anymore. If there was a such thing as deep throating a hookah, I did it that night. Cuz nah. For this reason, it’s not likely that I’ll EVER visit here again. I think that they should seriously rethink their business model b/c $ 15 for a refill and thats also the cost of the hookah? Bye ashy.

I’m not a fan of The Spinning Pie’s food or service, but I do like the atmosphere. Granted, although it can get unbearably loud and many of the female patrons are either half naked or stepped out in some«unh unh» clothes, I still love that there is a little place in the cut I can grab some cheap drinks and listen to a live DJ whenever I fancy.

Went to Spin last night with a some girlfriends and I had a good time. The music was great, they played all my jams, and the people were all friendly and hot. A celebrity(Lil Scrappy. It feels wrong to label him as such for obvious reasons) was even in the place. I totally dug the vibe; laid-back, fun, and FOOD! I ordered wings and cheese bread, the wings were absolutely amazing but the cheese bread was pretty meh. My girls ordered slices of pizza and they enjoyed their respective slices. My only two gripes about last night were 1) our waitress sucked. she seemed more concerned with dancing than she did making sure we had everything we needed and 2) i ordered a hookah and it never pulled properly even though i sent it back twice . I’m sure we’ll go back, I just won’t be doing any hookah and hopefully our waitress is more attentive.
