Every time I go here something is wrong. Today all the coffee had sat too long(look for blinking red lights on the pot), milk was over steamed and burnt. I won’t be going back to this location even though it is so close to me in Atlantic Station. They really need to get it together.

The only reason I visit this location is because it is next to a Tesla supercharger. But the service is consistently absent, employees rude and on top of that, one cannot redeem their Starbucks rewards here because«they are owned by the hotel».

Despite the poor reviews here, I don’t think I have experienced some of the bad things other reviewers wrote about. None of the baristas gave me an attitude. Whenever I go on the weekends, there’s hardly a line. The consistency of their drinks is a bit off though. It is true that this place doesn’t honor Gold member rewards, so that’s a huge downer. Also, this place is usually packed with people sitting around on the sofas, high stools, regular seats, and outdoor seating. There’s a sign that water cost $ 0.50 without an order. There’s free wifi too.

Having to do quite a bit of business in Atlantic Station, I don’t have a lot of choices for coffee shops within walking distance. Having been here over a dozen times, I can say that they are quite consistent — and that isn’t good. 1. Unfriendly staff that make it look like they are doing you a favor by taking your order. Most of the time they won’t even call your drink when it gets to the bar. It just sits on the counter. 2. I pretty much order the same, simple drink every time, yet it still seems to taste different every time. It appears to correlate to the barista. Looks like they must each have their own way of creating the same drink. 3. They do not have mobile readers. They have to take your phone and copy the numbers down, which really slows things down during busy times. 4. They don’t honor Gold redemption. 5. The place is small with only a couple of power options. 6. You have to go into the hotel to use restrooms. This is all so surprising since it is the only Starbuck’s serving Atlantic Station. This should be a premier location. I’m rather amazed that corporate doesn’t recognize that this location isn’t up to Starbucks standards. I’m thinking this might be a great opportunity to put up a competing coffee shop.

This is a very subpar Starbucks. The baristas aren’t very responsive, and kind of seem like they just want to get the day over with. The actual store was the main disappointment, as there was a grave shortage of outlets … Not very friendly to the typical Starbucks crowd.

This Starbucks has a great location for those that work, play, and live, whatever Atlantic Station’s brand logo is. If you don’t live, work, and play, in the«sim city 2000» built Atlantic Station, you will most likely only visit this Starbucks when visiting. Note that it is on 17th street. The map on the Unilocal website has it closer to Target, but no, this Starbucks faces busy 17th street and is on the bottom of the 12 Atlantic hotel. For those staying at the hotel, it is a great place to get a more specialized coffee drink and a pastry. However, Starbucks continues to carry bland pastries that you can find anywhere at any Starbucks. This Starbucks also seems to benefit from the growing number of office workers that work in Atlantic Station and the surrounding area. Parking is unavailable on 17th street and there are a few metered spots in Atlantic station. Parking in the Atlantic Station deck is free for the first 2 hours but as soon as you hit 2 hours, be ready to fork over $ 4 an hour or something like that. Thus, if you want to jet in and out and get a coffee, this Starbucks may not be for you as parking takes a good 5 – 10 minutes. The coffee shop itself is rather small and in my opinion one of the major cons of this location. In all actuality, I believe there are more small tables outside than inside. Outside there are 7 – 8 tables that are covered by the Atlantic Hotel and thus out of rain/sun for the most part. Although 17th street can be pretty busy, this doesn’t appear to be a detraction for those wanting to sit outside. Inside however, this location is pathetically small. Whether that is Starbucks’ fault or the hotel designers, it is a major flaw. Their are maybe 3 or 4 small tables, a few chairs, and that’s about it. Every time I have been in there, there has been little to no open space. So if you’re planning on coming here to do work, plan on waiting an unknown amount of time for a table. Because Atlantic Station knew this would become a burgeoning place, why did the designers make the Starbucks so small? It is the only Starbucks(other than Target’s kiosk) on this side of the downtown connector until you get to Howell Mill and I/75 several miles north and there is no other Starbucks within several miles on that side of the downtown connector. Maybe in the future, with increased traffic and people living in this area, Starbucks may expand? But for now, it’s a pitifully small location. Last thing and I’m not trying to be totally negative, but every time I’ve been in there, the staff has been cold and not friendly. I don’t know what their deal is but they have not been friendly and even more reason to go to a different Starbucks.
