Loved this place. Got my hair partially highlighted and I am brunette. My hair was done just how I wanted it. It’s not orange or brassy but looks great and Ray was able to make it as light as I wanted. I used a Groupon but now I will be coming back without Groupon because it was so good. Will recommend to friends!!!

I got my eyelashes done by Kathy. According to licensed eyelash application experts, one’s eyes should never be open nor should one feel discomfort during the application process. Not only were my eyes open during the application process, I felt tremendous pain. Over the next three days my eyes teared non-​stop to the point where I was no longer able to wear my contacts. On day three, I finally see an eye doctor and discover that I have an eye infection. I went to Starclips the next day and Hung asks me in an empathetic manner how my eyes are (with no apology) and then gets in immediate defensive mode. Hung tells me that I must be sensitive (which I’m clearly not since I’ve previously had eyelashes applied elsewhere) and that they did over 100 applications. I asked to be reimbursed (provided copies of all my receipts) for the eyelash application, doctor’s visit, medication etc., which totals almost $ 500, and not only does he refuse to examine the evidence, but he explains that if he reimburses me, he has to do it for everyone. Um okay… this makes sense if you’re clearly a licensed professional who knows what you’re doing.
I then asked who the owner is as I’d like to speak to him/​her, and Hung says that the owner is away (and does not need to give me his name), but that he’s the manager and basically in charge. I then ask to see Kathy’s license, and he says he doesn’t need to show it to me. Should’s a license be display for public viewing?! I am now in the process of speaking to my attorney, and taking them to small claims court if needed. And, by the way, over 50% of my right eye’s natural lashes are gone as evidenced by the photos.

Don’t be thrown off by the location. Also, when I walked in there were a ton of old ladies with curlers in the back, but they were someone else’s clientele… and honestly they made my visit. Their shop talk was hysterical. Cathy and her husband are wonderful. I got a cut and color and both came out AMAZING! I have really long, thick, curly hair, so I’m always at the salon forever, but I never felt like she was rushing through the process at any point. She knew exactly how to handle my hair and how NOT to cut it. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking to get their hair done. You get a great service for a very fair price.

This hair salon is wonderful. The owner Jay is really friendly and completely understood what I wanted in a haircut. He took his time and was very professional. He is knowledgable on cutting hair and very talented. I am sending all my friends to this salon.

I have been looking for a salon that i can become a regular at since moving to Atl a year ago. I think i’ve found it with this little gem.
It is nothing flashy outside and in but the service is second to none. Im not bothered about anything fancy, I just want warm friendly treatment and service, a good haircut and a good price. I feel this place encompasses all three of these things.
My hairdresser Jay is very friendly and accomodating, and very talented. I was so impressed I rang my husband and he came and got his haircut too. At $ 50 for both of us, i had a shampoo and blowdry also, we will definately be coming here again.
I have been to so many different hairdressers in different locations and price ranges. Despite some good haircuts all have been rude, unfriendly and made me feel like they cant wait to move on to the next client or go home. So refreshing to find somewhere so nice and welcoming to a new customer. I will deffo go again and think you should too.

Amazing Place!!! They did excellent work on my hair. First, I came about 2 months ago to do my hair cut and it was just fine. Then I came back later for another hair cut. Also, decided to give them a try to color my hair. I was amazed with the result! And the price was much below of what I expected. So, stop by and give them a try! Great place, good people, outstanding service. Highly recommended!
