Dr Negelow used to practice in Eureka, Missouri in the late 1980s. I just did an Internet search to find this man to see if he was still practicing. I was his patient almost 30 years ago, and the visit still haunts me. I was about 7 years old. He jammed the x rays into my mouth until my mouth bled, then he got frustrated because they wouldn’t fit. He kept throwing his hands up in the air and complaining to his assistant, «What am I supposed to do with her? She won’t cooperate!» He also called me a brat several times. For the record, I was a quiet, complacent child, and apparently I have a tiny mouth because they still use child x rays in my 34 year old mouth haha. I had nightmares about my visit and dreaded the next time we went there. In 1989, he had to notify his patients that he contracted AIDS from his lover(he was married at the time). Luckily we had to find a wonderful new dentist when Dr Negelow fled to the east coast. I guess the silver lining is that, as a parent now, I know to accompany my kids to their doctor/dentist appointments until they are comfortable.

I liked Dr. Negelow very much. He kinda reminds me of your grandfather or uncle. Big ol’ bear of a guy who I found charming and funny. He did my procelain veneers which look fantastic(check my profile pic!) and I’ve had absolutely no problems with them since they were installed over four years ago. I also liked his staff – all very friendly. Office was clean, bright and conveniently located on Peachtree in Buckhead. Not sure why all the negative review on here, but I did not experience the same and I would recommend him.

Not happy at all with this dentist– tried to force me to do a root canal on the spot when I didn’t need one(based on a second opinion from a much better dentist who was a referral from a family friend).
