Do yourself a favor… buy their hand filled pasta and lemon artichoke pesto. Everything in the store seems gourmet, fresh, truly Italian, and out of this world!!! They also have an incredible selection of imported olive oils that compliment, well, just about anything.

Love this place! Fresh pasta and homemade sauces? Yes, please! They even have a newsletter that sends out every Sunday letting you know what pastas and sauces will be available that week. Super friendly and helpful every time.

The pasta, sauces, cheese and bread are all incredibly fresh! Also, the experience of going to this charming take out market with pasta wrapped in brown paper and twine can’t be beat.

If you love cooking pasta at home, you have to come here. Even though this store is located in Buckhead, it’s not pretentious at all. In fact, just like Pie Shop next door, the store is industrial and you can see the employees at work making pasta behind the counter. Storico Fresco sells a lot of Italian ingredients besides fresh made pasta. You’ll find some dried pastas, olive oils, tomato paste, canned tomatoes, local artisanal bread, prosciutto and meats, mozzarella and other cheese, and even some pre-made sauces and lasagna they make in-house. I think I was most impressed seeing a «timpano» just like in the movie«Big Night» where it’s like a gigantic pasta/meat/cheese casserole that looks like a drum. Slices of timpano are sold by the slice and can easily feed 2 people. All the fresh pastas are written on chalkboards, and they do sell out. Storico Fresco does alternate their offerings, so you can check to see what’s available at the beginning of the week by checking their website: . Mind the hours: they close as early as 5pm on the weekends and 6pm on the weekdays. We bought one lb of the«porcini» filled pasta. Essentially, it’s a ravioli filled with porcini mushrooms, cheese and broccolini. These are $ 12/lb and if I counted, I’d say we got about a dozen of these raviolis. It is expensive, but it’s nice to «treat yo self» once in a while, right? They were delicious and worth it. I don’t know what the long pastas are like, but after having these porcinis, I’m definitely curious to try them. The store and its own private lot, as another Unilocaler Lauren P mentioned, is hard to find. So I’ll divert to her directions and say to look for«Buckhead Diamond» and pull into the lot that’s behind the store. There will be a downward slope where you’ll see that Storico Fresco and Pie Shop are on the lower level of the Buckhead Diamond building. I see more at-home pasta dinners in my future.

4.5÷5 This place sells the freshest pasta that are al dente you can possibly find. Since they are made fresh the menu constantly changes from day to day. They range from being with meat to vegetarian. The prices are relatively fair as the filled pastas are about 7 – 8 for ½ lb and the unfilled pastas are 7 – 8 for 1 lb. Additionally, they also sell white/red/pesto sauces that are made fresh and the seasoning is perfect. The meat sauce is always my go too as well as it truly does taste of Italy. If you need they also sell cured meats and fresh bread that will pair well with your Italian meal. My only critique about this place is its location and parking. Its located in the BACK of the stores of where your GPS brings you and parking is impossible in the back. Its always packed and its very narrows so its very difficult to park. If you park in the front be warned as the store managers there will call to get your car ticketet or booted. Cheers.

Check it out if you like gourmet Italian food– to be specific, fresh filled pasta and regular pasta. Thanks to business like Storico Fresco, normal people can easily cook fantastic food at home. They hand out recipe but I like to improv a little bit– roasted yellow pepper and basil ribbon made the ravioli very refreshing. Beside the taste, the food looks lovely too– You can gift them for sure. The lady who was helping even drew and labeled different shapes of raviolis so that I could tell the flavor. Sweet! It is not exaggerating to say that small business like this simply makes life more enjoyable. For directions, refer to Tamera B’s review. Then go to Pie Shop to pick up dessert.

For freshly made Italian pasta in Atlanta, this is as good as it gets. We’ve been struggling to find some true Italian eats since returning from a visit last fall. After learning about this place from new friends last week, it was mission #1 this past weekend — find it. It is a bit tricky to find if you’ve never been to anything in this area. It is right next door to the Pie Shop, not far from the East Andrews complex. There isn’t much signage(if any at all) from Roswell Rd, the store is off the main road, behind back. The owner, Michael, was there and promptly greeted me and went over how things worked. There is a blackboard with the day’s(week’s) fresh pastas — creatively filled and more standard ones — sauces and other goodies. They are priced by the ½ and full pound($ 6-$ 7/½ lb and about $ 12-$ 14 for a full pound) You can see the staff working in plain view, rolling and filling pasta. I knew I was in for a treat. After chatting with Michael a bit, I learned he spent 3 years in Italy, working with those who preserved the«old world» style of pasta and Italian dishes. He’s trying to recreate that here in Atlanta — lucky us! The passion and knowledge that goes into his work is clearly evident. They use, I believe he said, about 80−85% of produce they grow themselves, fresh eggs(they also sell!) and local meat. I can get down with all of this. After much hemming and hawing, I settled on trying two ½lb ravioli selections. Mortadella — with a mortadella, spinach and ricotta filling.(Mortadella is a bologna made of finely ground pork sausage). And Cappelletti — with stracchino, nutmeg, herb, and candied citron(stracchino is a type of cream cheese). He ended up giving me a full pound of each which I was so very appreciative of! I also bought a pint of the freshly made pomodoro sauce. There is also a pesto, arrabbiata, bolognese and wild boar ragu to choose from. If I wasn’t already sold on this place and it’s service, the packaging took me over the top. I love a product that is packaged well and thoughtfully. Nice brown paper with a twine closure. You will later see inside that the ravioli has extra corn meal dusted on to prevent sticking. Your purchase comes with a small card that gives some cooking instructions and a recipe for brown butter sage sauce. I ended up making that recipe for the Cappelletti and used the pomodoro for the Mortadella. Both were eccellente! Total cooking time for both dishes took me less than 20 mins. I added fresh spinach and mushrooms to both as well. I am anxious to try more of their offerings and look forward to returning soon! They can also be found at 3 local farmer’s markets — Peachtree Road, Marietta Square and the new Freedom Farmers at the Jimmy Carter Ctr.

Some of the best pasta that you will ever eat! If available, also make sure to grab a Pane al Cioccolato(a/k/a Italian Chocolate Bread)! The staff is super friendly and helpful.

I’ve never been to Italy, but I have to imagine that the INCREDIBLE pasta I got from Storico Fresco would be just like what I would find there. It was so flavorful and just cooked so easily! I’m not a seasoned cook either but the simple instructions I was given were exactly what I needed to impress. Even my dinner date was surprised I actually cooked it instead of ordering in. :) Thanks Storico Fresco! Definitely coming back!

This place is awesome! The owner is so nice, taking time to greet me as soon as I entered the shop. He was very helpful with selections and cooking methods for perfect pasta and walked me through all the selections for the day, which are made from imported Italian ingredients or locally sourced finds. In addition to stuffed pastas(I picked two kinds, one with a savory potato filling and one with breadcrumbs and cheese) they also have fresh shaped pasta like your traditional spaghetti and such. The owner will be glad to explain what sauces are best for your pasta of choice, and threw in some sage to complement the brown butter topping he recommended for my stuffed pasta. They also had Italian honey(lavender-yum!) and jellies(prosecco!). The pasta is a bit pricy, but probably a better value than what you would pay for a nice dinner out. The portions the owner recommended for two were more than enough for 3 people.

I was craving fresh pasta after we got back from Italy, and Storico Fresco was just what the dottore ordered! I’ve wanted to check this place out after hearing rave reviews from Storico’s next door neighbor, Pie Shop. It was everything I hoped for and more. On a Friday afternoon, my pal and I headed into Storico Fresco to pick up supplies for our Chianti night. The plan was for our crew of five to chow down and chill out with some pasta, vino, and other Italian goodness. Mike, the owner of Storico, was so helpful and informative when it came to selecting our dishes. All the pastas available that day are listed on blackboards, along with the fresh meat and cheese offerings. Mike said we only needed about a ½ pound per person, and he was right, but we overbought anyway. We got three pounds of different kinds of ravioli and other stuffed pastas, plus a pound of spaghetti. He even explained the best cooking procedures, and threw in a cut of fresh pork cheek because one of the pastas called for a pancetta topping. In total, our 4 lbs. of pasta costed about $ 50+tax but my goodness y’all, it was so worth it! That night, while sipping Chianti and noshing on fresh pasta with crispy pancetta, I felt like we were back in Tuscany. Way to go, Storico Fresco! P. S. Storico can be a bit tricky to find(unless you know where Pie Shop is already). When coming down Roswell Road near all the bars, look for the strip mall with Buckhead Diamond. Turn into that parking lot, then go down and around the back of the building. Alright, now I’m going to open a bottle of vino!

This is probably the best fresh pasta you can buy locally. I picked some up at the Peachtree Road Farmer’s Market and was thoroughly impressed. Unfortunately, the guy working the booth didn’t give me what I asked for, but what I got was still delicious. Cook up some ravioli, render some pancetta, throw in some pasta water and toss the pasta for hard to beat simplicity. Excellent hand crafted product. Minus one star for giving me the wrong item.

This is a hidden gem! I did not go there personally, but I did get to indulge in their«gift» of pasta. This place makes and sells fresh pasta. It is the most amazing pasta that I have ever tasted. I suggest looking at the website to see which type of pasta you would like since they all have Italian names and different filling. I was hoping to try the Casonsei which has a roasted beet and cheese filling, but it was sold out already. I did get to have the Pi Fasacc which has a cheese filling and looks like a baby wrapped up in a blanket, as well as the Scarpinocc. Some of the pasta has meat and some does not. The price is very reasonable for what you get. The pasta size is large and very filling, leaving my tummy one happy camper!
