I am really sad that this place has been closed. The name is a bit misleading as you get the impression that it is a pie place(apple pie), but this is a pot pie place. They have wide selection of pre-listed pies and they also do MYOP. We ordered the chicken pie and the pepperoni pie and they both together were like 9 $.The pie was really crisp and perfectly cooked(which is very tricky and needs expertise) and the stuffing just melted in our mouths. I really hope this place reopens soon as they server one of the best southern pot pies(close to mama made).

I just drove there today on my lunch break because I had a craving for it and found out that they’ve closed. :(The sign on the door said that their food truck will still be around Atlanta but they will no longer have the store for now. Hopefully the food truck will be near my job one day!

Great food, and Be sure to ask for a punchcard, you’ll be back. I usually get the snore pie AND pecan pie for dessert. They’re REALLY good.

Came across this place just looking up cool lunch spots on Unilocal and decided to give it a try based on the reviews and photos. I wasn’t disappointed! It’s easy to get to off Peachtree Dunwoody Road across from Costco. Parking is pretty limited but you should be okay because it’s not a shopping plaza with a lot of traffic. This place is a lot like Your Pie except this place actually serves pies? I like to think of them more as calzones or delicious Hot Pockets without the regret and guilt of eating one. They have various specialty pies or you can build your own pie. You can make any pie a combo with chips or salad and a drink. I suggest you do that because a single pie is pretty small, however, they make sure to pack these pies with meat/veggies! If you get a salad, you should be good to go. I was very impressed with the salad! I expected the salad from this place to be Panera quality or worse(let’s face it, Panera salads can be hit or miss). But the lettuce was fresh and they gave good portion of croutons on my caesar salad. My GF got a Greek salad and the veggies were fresh. I got a meat lover’s pie and my GF got the philly steak pie. You can refer to the pictures I’ve uploaded to get an idea of what it looks like. I enjoyed mine. The crust was flaky and not soggy. I recommend you try this place if you’re a fan of calzones or if you want an alternative to pizza! The place is very clean, has plenty of indoor seating, and some outdoor eating. The staff were very friendly and courteous! Brought the food to our table with extra napkins! Not a huge deal but I appreciate places that try to provide good customer service.

I really, really, REALLY wanted to like this place. We were hungry and in the area so I Unilocaled some lunch options and found, «The Pie Place». I thought the concept seemed so cool, I mean, «who doesn’t like pie?!». Even though the Unilocal reviews were mixed, I was excited to give this place a shot. When we got there, we perused the menu a while and I decided on the Buffalo chicken – why? I have no idea, I’ve never ordered buffalo anything in my entire life; I’m not even into spicy food! But, I think the avocado sauce it came with intrigued me so I went with it. My wife decided to «make her own pie» and she customized it with mushrooms, beef, cheddar etc. We couldn’t help but notice the dessert options and we ordered an apple and a cherry pie. To me, the pies seemed very small for the price. I mean, $ 5.50 for one hand-held pie without a side or drink?! Honestly, I didn’t think it would be enough so I considered ordering a side but their sides didn’t call out to me… Balsamic beans? Huh? Who wants that alongside a pie? Or chips with pie? Or sweet, cinnamon chips with a savory pie? No… just no! My wife did get the slaw though so I figured I could try hers. Also, I was able to use my free drink coupon from the Unilocal app so that was cool. After ordering, we grabbed our cups and headed over to the drink machine… it was one of those machines they have at the movies where you can customize your soft drink flavors… cool right?! Except, it was out of ice :/. So, I filled our cups with lukewarm soda and found a table while my wife visited the restroom. When she came out she told me that the restroom was also out of paper towels! I mean, come on! Really? Hopefully, we thought, the food would make up for all the disappointments so far. THEWAIT: Well, first let me say, we arrived at the height of the lunch hour and the place was packed so we expected a bit of a wait. But, the table behind us had apparently been waiting for 45mins before us and they were livid! They complained and complained but I felt bad because the pie place seemed so short staffed that the same people who were making the pies were also manning the cash register AND bringing them out to the tables. It was a mess! I think that table finally got their food but they ended up leaving with it instead of staying to eat. I doubt they’ll be back! THEFOOD: When our pies came out they looked and smelled delicious! My buffalo chicken pie tasted wonderful even though it was kinda spicy for me, the sauce was good too I thought. My wife’s pie was also yummy. We both thought the crust was the best part: so very flaky and buttery! Mmm. So we finished and sat patiently waiting for our dessert pies but they took forever… forever-ever…forever… In fact, they never actually came out, I had to go inquire about them and ended up waiting on my own table which was okay but… THEYGAVEMETHEWRONGPIES! We were supposed to have an apple and a cherry pie but we got apple and smores instead. I wasn’t going to complain after that long wait so we just decided to eat them. I don’t like apples so I took the smores pie which would have been okay tasting if it wasn’t unfortunately cold and I cannot STAND cold food so I decided to switch with my wife and take my chances with the apple pie. It was pretty good except for the apples which I picked out. Haha. All in all, I’d actually try this place again(something I never say about a 2 star experience) but, I think this place COULD be so great with a few tweaks and better staff. Even though our first experience was way less than stellar, I’d like to give it one more try. SUGGESTIONS: I suggest they perhaps offer«two pies for six bucks» or something similar so that you can try two different flavors for a much better price. Honestly, one pie wasn’t enough for me and even after dessert I left kinda hungry still. I thought about ordering pies to take home but after the long wait and mediocre service the first time, I really couldn’t talk myself into it. They definitely need more staff, especially during lunchtime. Besides the lack of ice in the machine, lack of paper towels in the bathroom and the long wait times, the place could’ve also benefitted from a nice wipe down, everything looked a little greasy and crumb-y. :/So having one staff member specifically for wiping down everything and replacing items that run out would make a great difference. Guest commentary by my wife: «logistically speaking, they need a makeover. They need a better system in place to ensure that the restaurant is run like a well oiled machine because at this point it’s a mess.»

Came in on a whim and picked up a great chicken pot pie for about 6 $. The shop is pretty spacious and the service was very quick. The pot pie itself was very good, I was expecting KFC type quality but it was really balanced. Not too heavy with a lot of flavor. The owner/manager was really nice and welcoming. Would definitely come back. I would say to make the menu a bit more readable, it’s at the top of this wall on TV screens and you have to crane your neck up to look at this small text. Larger text lower on the wall would just make it easier and more accessible for everyone. The menu was also pretty big, a «customer favorites» column would of saved me a minute of «what should I get if I never been here before.»

There are a few issues with this place. 1. It is part of an apartment complex so it is actually missed 2. The parking is limited 3. The food is unique in presentation but not in flavor 4. Buffalo chicken in a flaky pie crust is honestly nothing to write back home about

Very cool, unique place. I don’t think there’s another place in town that does pies like this. It was my first time here and I wanted to get a tried and true classic, so I went with the Chicken Pot Pie. I made it a combo and got a «small» spinach salad to go with it. Food came out shortly(guessing pies are ready-made and they pop them into the oven). It was served in an actual pie tin, which I thought was adorable. The pie itself looks similar to a Hot Pocket, with a popsicle stick stuck inside to identify the pie. They actually gave a very good amount of salad with the pie, and I very much enjoyed the sesame dressing that came with the salad. The salad was simple, with fresh baby spinach, mandarin oranges, red onions, mushrooms and chopped walnuts. The pie was piping hot and delicious. I liked that it was not too salty and not«heavy’ feeling. The chunks of chicken were tender and even though i am not the biggest fan of peas, I ate them right up along with the rest of the pie. Even though I was full, I tried a s’mores pie for dessert. Yum. Can’t go wrong with that choice. They had a pecan pie on the menu as well as various fruit pies, which I want to try next time.

This place earns on of it stars based on its amazing delivery speed. It arrived warm in less than 40 mins after a online order for 7. The food though I can only offer two stars. When people call these fancy got pockets they are not far off the mark. The crusty is great. Light, flaky and clearly cooked fresh they make eating these pies worth it. Out order was cooked a bit too brown, but the taste didn’t suffer for it. I ordered a bacon cheese burger pie. It was stuffed fat with bacon and a little of the other meats… but not cheese. It needed the cheese. I appreciate them not skipping on the meat but without the cheese this ended being very dry. This might be worth a stop if your in the area and nothing else suits your tastes. It is a unique pick for delivery in an area the offers a lot of sushi and Chinese to your door.

I noticed this outlet a while back as it is located next to the dry cleaner I use; and I finally decided to venture inside for a quick bite. TPP is a locally created business in the cluttered«do it yourself» concepts but in the pie format. Aside from carb, gluten and calories overload; this is actually pretty cool. The pies are like a small Calzone($ 5.29); you can fill in your own ingredients from a large selection; or pick one of their menu items which most people do. I had the Philly cheese steak which was excellent, filled with meat and not the other way around. They bake everything in a toaster oven like at Subway so in essence it is the subway of pies. I had the cherry pie($ 2.49) and it was a baked turnover much better than McDonald’s but not that great; it was a canned type of filling. The service is very friendly and the décor is standard contemporary brownish tone fast food with a coke freestyle machine for beverages. I would say this is an ambitious novelty concept that won’t have much expansion room anytime soon but it’s nice to have around when a craving for high calorie/high carb/high fat pie or calzone arises.

I came here due to seeing a deal on Scoutmob. The concept seemed pretty interesting — savory hand pies. We tried the Cuban and the buffalo chicken pies. The chicken pie was really good. It had real chicken and was perfect amount of sauce — enough so it had a flavor but not too much so there is sauce everywhere. The Cuban was good too — my one complaint was they used a full pickle spear. I think a pickle relish or sliced pickles would be better. It’s a neat concept and I want to come back and try the jerk pies and a dessert one.

This establishment has really grown on me! I came twice in the past 3 weeks and received excellent food and customer service both times. I think they greatly improved since I wrote my last review when they first opened years ago. The pies are not the biggest but I don’t leave hungry and the person making the pie is willing to sub toppings or add toppings as you please. I really like that! Making a custom product is a great way to earn loyalty of your customers and they did that. These pies are $ 5.50 each and I love idea of lunch pies to begin with! I will definitely be back again and sincerely appreciate great customer service!

[TL;DR] Well, it’s definitely different. Fast pot pies in under 5 minutes. That’s basically like microwaving two hot pockets — and a lot better tasting. Give it a try. /ATMOSPHERE Nothing special. You’ve seen it before. You walk in, order at the counter, get a little selfie-stick with a number on it and then your food shows up. It’s so generically designed that I’m not sure what it’s supposed to appeal to. Mass, modern, fast dining appeal? I dunno. Lost. /FOOD Freaky fast. For pies. It’s unusually warm in there which probably means they run a super-hot oven and bake the pie crust and warm the inside. It’s a really cool concept. Split a salmon coulibiac and an Italian sausage pot pie. They weren’t bad but wouldn’t order either again. These flaky little pies are basically a gourmet hot pocket. I think what I’m looking for is probably something akin to what I’ve had in a hot pocket — except the enhanced Iron Chef version or something. /SERVICE Counter service here. Friendly crew. Tip jar is out. Don’t be cheap. HOWTOREADMYREVIEWS: 1 Star — Does not approach edible. Enter at your own risk. 2 Stars — If I’m in the area, I’d pick something else. 3 Stars — I would stop by if I happen to be in the area. 4 Stars — I would pick this place out of other places nearby. 5 Stars — I would go out of my way to dine here.

I found this place through Unilocal and I was very impressed. I have not seen a place like this yet. The place looked nice and had a lot of seating. You walk in and go up to the counter and order and pay. It was basically a fast food build-your-own pie place. They had tons of great selections on their menu for meat pies or dessert pies. If you don’t like any of the choices, you can choose your ingredients to be put in the pie. Regardless of what you order, they make the pies in front of you. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken pie — highly recommended by fellow Unilocalers. I must say it was really good! The crust was great and portion was just right. One pie was able to satisfy my hunger. I also got the Cherry pie as dessert and it was very good as well — not too sweet. I would recommend this place to the pie lovers out there. It’s fast, delicious, and comes out fresh from the oven.

I was excited about this place due to the fact I love anything with pie crust on it and the reviews. I was super disappointed. I like that you can make custom pies, but the fact they only have calzone-style pies is very limiting in the pie genre. I would like to see meat pies, shepard’s pies, British/Australian type pies, more dessert pies… but nope. You get calzones. I had the chicken pot pie and pecan pie. Both were not good at all. I’ve had better frozen pot pies and here in Atlanta, better pecan pie abounds. :(

Visited this place around 9pm Saturday evening to celebrate pi day with family. I didn’t even know there are places to eat across Costco. Some what of a hidden place or better yet new place. Our order took longer than usual as they had run out of pies. They compensated us by serving cinnamon chips. Tasted yum :). Did not try any savory as we had early dinner. We tried apple pie a la mode and cherry pie a la mode. The pies are served in a stick and vanilla ice cream was full with flavor. This place is more like a fast food location but don’t go on looks. The desserts we tried were fresh and good. I highly recommend this place if you are in the mood for a good American pie. Staff is also very nice and considerate. We will definitely be visiting this place again soon.

I’ve had Pie Place bookmarked for some time and missed out on the Scoutmob deal too. But I managed to find myself there one Sunday after yoga(I know, I just had to reward myself for showing up for a morning class with some pie afterwards!). The shop is not really evident from the road. It’s adjacent to a cleaners, and on the ground floor of what seems to be condo’s or apartments. There is a sign that says«Pie Place» on the side, but unless you are actually looking for it, it would be very easy to drive right by. The parking is not great. There is a roundabout in front of the shop, but most of the parking is across from it, in front of the condo building. This wasn’t a biggie for me since most of the spots were empty, but during prime time parking could be an issue. The restaurant itself was very clean and well maintained, the décor reminded me of a diner with the black and white checkered floor. There were 2 young guys working the counter and the one taking my order was very nice. I had to take a min. to survey their extensive menu(everything from breakfast pies, lunch pies and desert pies). I only ordered 1 pie since this was my first time and settled on the chicken pot pie. I should have ordered more since the guy raised an eyebrow and said«only 1 pie?» since the 2 customers in front of my ordered 2 – 3 each. The wait wasn’t long at all, and I saw that the pie is about 1.5−2 times bigger than a hot pocket, but with a flaky crust. Kudos for not dunking this into a vat of hot grease Pie place! My pie was quite good, although next time I will add extra meat in there. The chicken was good, but the sauce was not as flavorful or thick as a home-style pot pie. This is a good place for a snack or a light meal, and although they have sides and salads, I would recommend getting 2 pies to fill you up.

Absolutely amazing experience! That Pie Place is truly a diamond in the rough. Before I can even talk about the food, I have to comment on the service! Honestly, probably the best customer service experience I’ve ever had! This was our first visit, and the owner took the time to go over how the pies are made and what the local favorites are. He also brought out our order and came back to check on us. This man cares about his company and his customers. I’m going back just to see him :-) Now to the pies… freaking awesome!!! So many choices, and the shell is so flaky! My favorites are definitely the Buffalo Chicken pie and the Salmon Coulibiac. My favorite part was dessert! The pecan pie was probably the best I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back!

This place seems like it’d eventually make an appearance on the Food Network because it’s a unique and creative spot. I went with my fiancé for our first time yesterday and apparently we picked the right day to go since they were celebrating PIEDAY! For every pie you bought, you got 3 hole punches on your pie card. For every 9 punches you get, you get a free pie so by us buying 3 off the bat, we were already entitled to a free pie. How awesome was that? They also stayed open 24 hrs that day. But that was just for yesterday. For our pies, we got Salmon Teriyaki which was by far my favorite! I honestly didn’t think it’d taste as good as it did but I was so wrong. We also got Meat Lovers, Cuban, and Tangy BBQ which were all good… But Salmon Teriyaki is the best out of all of them. Cuban would be last on my list… I didn’t care too much for it honestly. They apparently have new jerk pies which I haven’t tried yet. One thing I love about all their pies though is their CRUST!!! It’s so soft, flaky, and buttery… Mmmm! They also deliver pies. Now don’t it misconstrued that there’s ONLY pies here. There’s salads and other foods too but… Why would you get anything else other than pies at a PIERESTAURANT? But hey, whatever floats your boat. The commute to this place was so out of the way but I’d drive that far again just to get more pies. I’d most likely come back this Monday for St. Patrick’s day since they’re doing 2 hole punches on your pie card that day. Overall, I recommend this place to any and everyone!
