One of the best fly shops in the country. Definitely has the biggest inventory of any fly shop I have ever been in. Great service and a wonderful atmosphere

This place is a gold mine for fishing enthusiasts. And the workers here are crazy helpful. They’ll be more than happy to break you in if you’re a newbie. Actually, I’ve recently taken up an interest in fly fishing. And I’ve found that most fly fisherman are more than willing to share their knowledge with you.

While at a conference in Buckhead, I visited the FH after lunch. This is the sort of shop every fly fisherman would like to have in the neighborhood. Even if you couldn’t afford all the great gear, you could buy your most important pieces here. Instruction and guide opportunities Good parking next to the building on the northeast side. In the heart of Buckhead, just in front of the Roxy Theater, is The Fish Hawk, a good-​sized fly-​fishing outfitter store that’s been servicing Atlanta since 1975. I took my dad here the last time he visited, and you’d have thought it was Christmas. Any fly-​fishing gear you could imagine is there, and they offer classes on fly-​tying, fly-​casting and more. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Check out the website for more information and their newsletter.
