If you are looking for a quick meal during your lunch break this is not the place to go. Took 40 minutes out of my 1hr lunch break to get my food

I used to eat here weekly, because the food is pretty good. Not always consistent, eventhough I always get the same thing. However, after today’s visit, I will be taking my business elsewhere. The management and customer service in this place is severly lacking! I ordered online because they advertise: «No line, order online.» Yeah right! I ordered at 11:45 and was told online that the 12:15 time I chose was not available and to pick 12:30. Done. Waited until 12:45 to get my food. Get all the way back to the office and the order was wrong. Walked back out in the rain and was told, «Oops…it was in the wrong bag… here you go.» Never again will I step foot in this place. An hour wait for a wrong order is unacceptable.

The food is decent but it’s the whole ordering situation that annoys me. This location opened in a food court where a high volume of people come to get a quick lunch and get back to work. So first off there is always a long line and you dont always get to look at a menu until you’re inside. Secondly they have iPads at the counter that never get used. I assume you can order on them but its pointless. Then you get to the counter and order and you still have to wait for your order. So you have a lot of people standing around waiting. It gets very cramped in there while waiting and I just think that there has to be a better way. You end up burning over half of your lunch break just getting through the line and getting your order. So unless you have plenty of time, you’ll likely be taking your lunch back to the office. There wont be much time to sit down and take a breather.

The mango chicken was really good. Spicy with fresh cut peppers yet sweet with real mangos. First time here but definitely won’t be the last.

I met my boyfriend here for lunch since we both work along Peachtree and it is within walking distance. The line was out the door but was moving relatively quickly so we decided to give it a shot — mistake #1. I ordered the Basil Fried Rice and substituted the chicken for sauteed shrimp and got white rice instead of fried — mistake #2. Now to be fair, I expected a little extra time to make it considering the substitutions — mistake #3. It took 32 minutes. THIRTYTWOMINUTES. They asked me 20 minutes in to clarify my order and so I did. Then waited almost 15 more minutes to get my food. As far as the flavor goes, it was decent. They totally skimped me on the shrimp — counted MAYBE4 or 5 shrimp in total. I’ve got to think that the only reason this place is still open is because it is «convenient». I will take my business elsewhere next time I’m in Colony Square.

I eat here all the time but today the customer service left a bad taste in my mouth! Guess I’m gonna have to start getting lunch elsewhere

I’ve been to this location in the middle of the lunch rush and waited less than ten minutes to get my food. That’s certainly not the case today. I’ve now been waiting for about twenty minutes and they’re still fumbling around the kitchen. I personally prefer eating on my lunch break, but it doesn’t look like that’ll happen today.

Is it possible to give a place ZERO stars? If so, that’s what I would give this location of Tin Drum. They are INCREDIBLYSLOW!!! I have been to this location 2 or 3 times and they NEVER improve and are consistently terrible. Customer service is non existent. I ordered chicken lettuce wraps and it took at least 20 minutes for them to serve me. I consider this unacceptable at a fast food restaurant. I asked for an update on my order several times, and they just said that«it was coming» and offered no apologies. Needless to say, I will never be returning to this place and I suggest no one else does either. I hope they close and something better replaces them.

I was this close to walking away because there were three workers and nobody came to take my order. One disappeared to the back, the other went into the kitchen, and the other was eating. On top of that, I was really hesitant about going here when I saw that they only had two stars, but my basil fried rice was actually really flavorful. A bit on the dry side with not too much poultry, but my girls loved it, and I thought it was just fine. Maybe it’s because I didn’t order anything else, but I’d be willing to go back considering there aren’t very many other fast food Asian places around.

Horrendously slow service! Ordered Pad Thai noodles and potstickers at 12:45pm and got the order after 1:15pm. Half an hour for 2 simple dishes! I asked after about 15 minutes about the status, she looked and pointed to my ticket saying«It’s right here» which didn’t help me to understand if my order was coming in the next minute or half an hour since they had tickets spread all over the place and I didn’t really see any kind of an organizational system. Not coming back here.

This place is still SOSLOW! We waited for our order to be taken at around 1PM(so it was not the lunch rush) and we were told that the dish we wanted(Mango Chicken Bowl) was not available because they ran out of the slaw. We looked at the menu and the cashier asked the Manager if he would honor the deal on a different item. He told her that they DID have the mango bowl. We ordered that with an extra side of dressing. While we waited over 20 minutes for the food, we watched the Manager struggle to get the food out even though 4 people were working the line. We saw 3 people get the wrong items. We watched the cashiers look confused by why the food was not being packed in the right bags. I asked for the Owner’s card because this service was horrible. They should have stopped taking new orders and gotten them self out of the weeds. The cashier did not know who the owner was and did not have a Manager card to give me. When our food was finally ready, the dressing was missing. Luckily I asked about it prior to leaving. The Manager looked at me like something was wrong with me. Note to the Manager: Yes, this industry is rough, but suck it up and train your staff appropriately. Motivate your line cooks so they are willing to work harder to get the hot food out. Train your cashiers to slow down a bit or offer to help when you are in the weeds. Remember, the customers are watching.

I have eaten here a few times since I started working at Colony Square. The food is pretty good, but my advice to you is to check your bag. Yesterday, the basil roll I ordered was nowhere to be seen — I had to go back and get it. Today, they didn’t make sure the lid on my soup was on, so half of it spilled in the bag, and the crispy wontons that were supposed to come with it are nowhere in sight. And they weren’t even that busy when I went in there. Seriously?

I have eaten here a couple of times and think it’s a better choice for a quick meal than most fast food services. They offer a fairly large selection on their menu with maybe about 20 different entrée choices that offer Thai and Chinese dishes. The meals appear to be cooked fresh to order, as you need to wait about 5 or so minutes for the order. I had a Panang curry that came with some vegetables and chicken in a spicy sauce. The vegetables were cooked just right: a little tender, but still with a little crunch and not mushy at all. The chicken and sauce were fine, just maybe a little too spicy hot. Next time I might try something a little less spicy here. They serve you the entrée in one bowl and steamed rice in another. The portion sizes were ok, but the price just seemed a little tad high for fast food. However, I think the quality of the food justified the price. The service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely consider this place if you want a quick meal and like Thai/Chinese cuisine.

Delicious! I have not had Pad Tho for a long time, I tried it and it was great! I moved from California and have not found a great place like this for lunch, it is defiantly a must!

This place blows my mind. I’ve eaten here in the past, and I am on a strict diet where I need to have strictly chicken and veggies, no sauce or rice, and the cashier easily helped me pick something from the menu and modify it. I went today and the cashier told me flat out«we can’t do that», my response«well, I’ve done it before here». She excuses herself and brings out her manager who began being confrontational right off the bat. His first words were«what’s the problem here?». No problem, just want to make an order. I explain to him and he goes on to tell me they are under new management and if they made a modification in my order they’d have to make an exception for everyone else. I simply wanted to forego rice and sauce, is this really an issue? I didn’t ask for a price modification and even told him I’d pay the same price as the dish, just leave off the rice and maybe give me a few more vegetables and if that’s not possible just give me the dish without the rice and sauce and I’ll still pay the normal price. He said this was not an option. At the end he let me substitute out the rice for iceberg lettuce for an additional .75. Are you kidding me? I had to pay to get lettuce instead of keeping the price the same and getting rice. Apparently there’ s a super high demand for lettuce these days LOL. Anyhow — the manager was very confrontational — I told him this was«silly» and he just laughed under his breath and said«well, it’s new management». Total jerk. I won’t be dining here again I can tell you that much. Note to management — your customers = your paycheck. be nice to them.

I’ve never visited a Tin Drum. Just needed something to take the edge off before my workout next door. Had a Thai taco and it did the trick. I will say it was pretty salty, but flavorful. Four stars for Monique’(pronounced Mo-née-k). For ordering on the in-store iPad, she was very polite, helped with tea suggestions, knew the ingredients well. Then, I went back for a cookie(yep, this was right before the gym. Judge much?) and she asked if I’d like it warmed. Now, I think this is still a fast food restaurant, so that gesture was very nice. Of course Dr. Oz has me paranoid that I’m going to contract rabies by drinking from contaminated tea containers, but theirs and the entire restaurant was exceptionally clean. Lower the salt and this will make a nice, inexpensive grab and go for me.

I used to love going here but I got irritated one day when I walked up to the self order station and was TOLD to order with the woman at the counter. When I told the woman I wanted to self order she said I couldn’t because they wanted more personal interaction with customers. So I turned around and walked out. The woman even asked me if I was seriously leaving when I turned around. I guess my shoes pointing to the door didn’t give the impression I was serious. Personally, I like to just walk in and be antisocial. Also when I use the self order station I like to experiment. Oh well, been two or three weeks and still irritates me but I won’t go back in there now.

Not a winner. A very small portion of chicken that had the texture of oatmeal, drowning in sauce. Almost $ 10. No thanks.

My third visit–«third time’s the charm” — right? well, sorry no. Chicken coconut soup was very salty. It took me a while to understand what was wrong with it because its never tasted salty ant any other place I’ve had it so this was a new one for me. The pad Thai was ok. The noodles were done– not raw so that was an improvement over previous rice dishes. Bottom line– this place will probably stay in business and I may even go back but I really wish they would do better. One star for food– the extra was for the pleasant girls at the register who really tried.

I grabbed some to-go dinner here tonight and it was okay. Not great, not bad, just okay. The crab & cream cheese roll was divine. The Thai spring roll was basically noodles in a spring roll wrapper. The Sesame Chicken was dry, and I added extra veggies. If the number of veggies I had were«extra» then I would hate to see what shows up if I didn’t order extra veggies. The lady behind the counter was very nice, but over all I don’t think I will be back to order take-out again. It wasn’t work my $ 16 to get dry chicken.

Ugh this place needs to do better. The 1st time I went there, I got the basil fried rice with tofu which is what I always get at all the other locations. The dish tasted old and bad. It had a drawy consistency and was inedible. I decided to give them a 2nd chance. This was last week… I tried to call ahead but the phone kept going straight to VM. Weird. I get there and i shit you not, it took me 15 mins to find a parking spot in the garage. When I finally got there, I tried to place my order on the computer and it kept processing. I ended up letting the cashier ring me up and that took forever to process. While I was waiting, I checked my bank account and the machine had charged me so i had a double charge. The lady ended up refunding me the 1st order which was cheaper than her transaction(odd). I finally made it back to work with only a few mins before my lunch break and INHALED my food. This time it wasn’t bad. I will give them a 3rd chance and now I know not to go if their phone is broken.

I have really really tried to like this place/location. I work in colony square and we have even ordered in at the office. Everyone in our meeting didn’t finish their meal! It just misses every time. The food tastes processed, the line is unorganized, and I have had four dishes and I couldn’t finish more than few bites. It may just be this location because the tech location has been ok.
