Ordered here from Über Eats because I was hankering for Thai. I got a Thai iced tea and pad Thai with tofu — the Thai iced tea was fine, nothing special, but the pad Thai — awful. It was as equal to what I would be able to cook at home … and I have no Thai cooking experience. Overcooked noodles, no flavor at all. Now I know where I won’t go when in the mood for Thai.

I’ve been to Top Spice several times and will continue to go back. The service is decent and the food is delicious. The Malaysian aspect is a nice change from the straight Thai fare found at many restaurants(not that straight Thai is bad, it’s still delicious, the change is just refreshing).

I wouldn’t say this is one of my favorite spots but it’s not bad at all. It’s a beautiful place. The food is good but I’ve had better. I go here when I’m in the area. They have vegetarian options, which can be hard to find at times.

Top Spice has had a dramatic decrease in meat/chicken quality over the past 6 months. I have been a regular customer for 2 years and something has dramatically changed.

Ordered from here yesterday. Had the Pad See U and coconut soup. I got extra spicey, wasn’t very spicey at all. Was fair. Nothing more, nothing less. Also, a little pricey..

Pros: fast delivery Cons: Overcooked meat in Panang, noodles weren’t fried with eggs in pad Thai(instead fried a whole egg and put on top), unbalanced ingredients, not a traditional Thai food(instead it’s Chinese, really), not Thai spices, but crude and cheap Chinese ingredients

Ordered a fried soft shell crab today. The crab tasted just OK although I’m sure they didn’t use good quality oil for it. The bamboo shoots in the dish was absolutely a disaster. They literally tasted like sh**. They other vege was tasteless. Too much sugar in the ice Thai tea. Finally, zero service from staff. The quality of restaurants in Atlanta is below par on average, but this one is one of the worst I’ve ever had.

Thought we should try something new today and man I am so glad we did. The food is fantastic and price was very reasonable. Efficient staff. I think I am a fan already.

The environment is very relaxing and warm, and the service was average, though a little slow towards the end of my dinner. I shared the rendang chicken with my friend, as well as the spicy fried rice. I would recommend the latter – it’s a dry dish, but very flavorful though not as spicy as expected. The rendang chicken was served with white rice is saucy, and garnished beautifully. The roti canai was sub-par, as the sauce wasn’t very flavorful or spicy and the roti was too thick and not cooked properly. It had large chunks of potatoes and very little bits of shredded chicken. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, but I probably would not come back.

We had our lunch here this week and we didn’t find the food authentic nor delicious. We had Pad Thai in Thailand and this does not compare. The Pad Thai we had here tasted like ketchup noodles. Also, we ordered Shrimp Pad Thai but were served with Chicken. The staff were friendly though. But we’re not coming back.

3.5 stars. I came here recently for dinner with some coworkers. We ordered the fresh basil rolls and shrimp dumplings to share, which were pretty tasty. For my entrée, I ordered the mixed seafood lava dish, which was cooked in a curry sauce with onions, tomatoes, okra, eggplant, and bell peppers. I asked for a spice level of 8(on a scale from 1 – 10). While the food was delicious, the spice level was nowhere near what I expected an 8 to be. One of my coworkers ordered the catfish basil, which comes in a red curry sauce. We agreed that her dish was spicier, even though she ordered a lower spice level. I’ve heard the noodles are good here, so perhaps I’ll try that next time. –L.

The worst food I ever had! My partner and I were hungry and we ordered shrimp dumplings, fried tofu, coconut chicken soup, Roti Canai, and beef salad. Shrimp Dumpling: was like bought from a bag in the grocery store like hmart, or Buford Farmers Market but probably the best item we ordered. The sauce was just pure orange sweetness but it was supposed to be sweet and sour. Fried Tofu: was hard and dry and the dipping sauce was like colored water because it had no flavor and the tofu was not seasoned at all. Coconut Chicken Soup: The look of coconut soup, the taste of water, the chicken tasted like it was boiled and tossed in. broth & meat was bland as no seasoning was added. Roti Canai: tasted and looked like baby food except baby food has more flavor and probably rather have than that. Beef Salad: consisted of half a whole cabbage chopped in half served with minced beef. The beef actually was seasoned and the cabbage was served as for farm animals. Service was excellent, they were attentive and friendly but the food will make me never come back again. I cannot believe this is even called a restaurant. I’m not sure if this was a bad night for the chef but I rather eat at McDonald’s. I eat at a lot of Asian restaurants and this will never make the list. TOPSPICEATCOBBPKWYISMUCHHHHHDESERVINGOF4STARSTHANHERE. Summary-if you like unseasoned food and excellent service, I recommend this location.

Ordered delivery tonight and it was pretty quick– Excellent food! I had the coconut soup, panang curry and spring rolls. The coconut soup was delicious– i ordered two and I’m glad I did. The panang curry was awesome too– great flavor and they give you a lot of it! Overall, very good food– tasted fresh. I will absolutely make this a regular spot –ordering it on the Unilocal app is also super convenient.

I’m a really big fan of Top Spice for dine-in. I’ve ordered from them twice for delivery services and was not disappointed. They have fast delivery, every time they’ve gotten my order correct and the food has been piping hot when it got to me. Favorites: — Coconut Soup — This stuff is to die for. I opt for tofu but you can also get it with chicken. I would actually swim in this stuff. This is one of my go to soups when I have a cold because its just so comforting. — Red Curry w/Chicken — Pad See U w/Pork

With a name like Top Spice, you expect some flavor, right? We ordered Ginger Special Shrimp: pretty good sauce, but overcooked shrimp Pad See U: normally a dependable go-to dish, this one was OK I guess I just had higher expectations based on the reviews.

HANDSDOWN. this is our fave thai restaurant. We have been dining here since 2013. Whether it is take out, or dining in, the food is superb. My bf is a veggie, so he orders the fried rice with extra egg. I loveeee the REDCURRY !! I insist that all of my friend try this place at least once. It’s something about that red sauce, it just makes my eyes roll back lol. We started out visiting the Cobb Pkwy location, but one day we dined in right as they were opening, and the curry was off. i couldn’t quite identify what was different, but it was SOMETHING. Maybe it needed more time to simmer. Eh, i’m not sure. i brought it to the server’s attention, but she did not care to address the issue and simply said nothing is different. That was enough for me to stick with our Piedmont location. Just love their CURRY !!

I’m pretty sure that I wrote a review for Top Spice a couple of years of go. My review seems to have disappeared from Unilocal’s web site. I used to love Top Spice, but our recent experience was quite disappointing. We ordered Pad Thai, Massaman curry, basil rolls and spring rolls. The Pad Thai was syrupy sweet. It was really just nasty. The Massaman curry was boring. The spring rolls tasted greasy and old and the basil rolls tasted strange. We really didn’t like any of the food. Top Spice needs to spice up their dishes with something other than sugar.

Good, attentive, friendly, prompt customer service. Nice décor, ambience. Not too fancy but clean, quiet, and spacious. Plenty of parking! I tried the pomegranate oolong tea. Very fragrant. Hot and spicy lemongrass soup is very fragrant and flavorful. Wonderful for a cold day and trying to recover from a cold. Not too spicy and moderately sour the way I like it. Papaya salad is not on the menu and offered seasonally. It was quite fresh and good with a variety of ingredients but too spicy when I had a sore throat and cough. Pad see ew is flavorful. It had adequate sauce mixed in with each bite. The only complaint is that the portion seems a bit small. Lastly, mango sticky rice. It must not be mango season in the winter because the mango was tart and a crisp. I prefer mine the exact opposite: sweet and soft. I enjoyed it overall though. It was nicely paired with warm coconut rice and a sweet condensed milk that can be drizzled over. I’m glad to see what the hype is. However, I am ready to explore new places.

Top Spice is the only place I go if I need some authentic Malaysian style food. Had lunch there today and I was there thinking why I have never write a review on this restaurant before. This Top Spice location is one of my favorite places to eat for a long time. I have been to the other locations at Toco Hills and Cobb, the beef rendang at both locations just tasted off. My usual order here will be any one of the below: 1) Penang Char Kway Teow — flat noodles with shrimp, bean sprouts and eggs 2) Beef Rendang — Indonesian type beef curry 3) Daging Nyonya — sweet & sour pork chops The Roti Canai and Murtabak are both very good appetizers! Service and ambience are excellent. I do not understand why some fellow Unilocalers complained about the service. Servers are always nice and friendly. My home is also in the area where the restaurant delivers. That’s definitely a plus! Have called for delivery many times. Driver always friendly, get here within the time promised, and food was always hot. Lunch specials on weekdays and Saturdays includes a soup with every entrée. The vegetable soup is my personal fave. So that’s 5 stars from me to Top Spice which currently scored a 100 on the health inspection!(Just saw it upon leaving the restaurant.)
