Westside Provisions District Farmers Market

A relatively small market, sure, but huge for the Westside.
We like the offerings here. While the tents have changed out every week, there are almost always two peach stands, 2 – 4 vegetable stands, a Korean/​bun stand, 1 – 2 jams/​jellies stands, and 1 – 2 pastry/​bread stands. Also other stands for cheese, honey, flowers, community events – depending on the week. Good organic options here at multiple tents (which is important for us).
Another review mentions cash, but most tents I’ve been to took credit cards as well.
Several weeks have had live music and chef demo stations from Westside chefs (e.g. Cooks & Soldiers, Ormsby’s, etc.)
Very glad to have these guys in our neighborhood!

I love Atlanta’s Farmers Market scene. There are big ones (YDFM), pretty ones (Peachtree Rd), and small ones — like Westside Provisions District Farmers Market.
This is really a 3.5*, but I waiver because a round up is for the quality but a round down would be for the size! It’s on a tiny little slip of «road» — a driveway/​mostly sidewalk, actually — between the Yeah Burger side and the West Egg side of the district. Today there were only about a half dozen small tents.
It has wonderful bounty — I just wish there was more of it! It’s also nice because there aren’t a ton of people so you can take time perusing and be one of only a handful of folks at once, at any stand.
The stands that are typically there have good stuff. It’s mostly fruits and vegs with a little smattering of food, such as bread and pastries. You’ll find produce from stands like Mena’s Farm, jams and relishes from Preserving Place, juices from Organic Mountain and several others today whose names I wish I could remember; sometimes there is cooking or music, and samples from spots like West Egg, of course. Summer is a great time for my personal favorite produce, and today I found fresh string beans, beautiful purple and yellow sweet peppers and a perfect peach. If you’re not tired of King of Pops by now, of course they have a cart.
Most businesses are cash only. It’s not a Costco-​type market like YDFM, which has wonderful stuff and lots of it still at low prices, but what you find ($ 4 for a pint of tomatoes or $ 5/​lb of small grape tomatoes, or $ 1 for that one peach I mentioned) is wonderful.
I am curious to see what this market is like come early fall, since it only runs till Sep, and sorry I missed the late spring markets. Like I said, I do wish it was bigger!
