I love this place! It is so much fun and we have never had any issues here. The one time they made a mistake it was fixed quickly. There are a lot of drink options and the food is very good! I always get a steam bucket and piña colada when I visit.

Great food. Our waiter Joseph was awsome. The KJ Steam pot was great and good steak too. Differently a fun place to go. Why would anyone go to Red Lobster if you can go to Joe’s Crab Shack.

We visited this location for a family birthday celebration. It was on Super Bowl Sunday so business was quiet here on this day. Our server, Joe, was excellent. We started with an order of a dozen of the grilled oysters advertised on special. These arrived prepared nice and hot, but we did note fragments of shell in a few of them, probably form a poor job of shucking them. Other than this we did enjoy the flavor of the oysters. We decided to order a variety of the steamed crab pots and buckets to share since it was a birthday celebration. The amount supplied for our group was perfect, nobody was hungry afterward. Our server checked back often and made sure that our beverages stayed full. He surprised us with a large key lime pie slice that we all shared for the birthday celebration. It was very nice. Note: this location recently went to a no tipping policy… they make note of this on your final bill, so it probably explains a little bit higher meal prices.(although I admit I cannot compare to other Joe’s prices since it has been a long time since last visit). We enjoyed our visit to this Joe’s Crab Shack and will probably go back as a result.

Our waiter Joe was awesome. We were afraid of visiting after they implemented a no tipping policy. We figured the service was going to be poor since they no loner worry about a tip but boy were we wrong. We ordered an order of jumbo shrimp and Cajun steampot and it was amazing. I asked Joe why my crab had a dark tint to it and he assured me it was the type of crab but still brought us out a whole other crab! Food came out piping hot and tasting fabulous. I’m glad we came here instead of Red Lobster. And while you’re at it, enjoy a nice cold beer.

My daughter’s daycare went here for a field trip(weird huh) and they were amazing and the kids had a great time. They gave us a coupon to come back as a family. The servers recognized my daughter right away, had her dance with them, and made her feel like an utter princess. We had a very good meal on top of that. We have been back at least another six times since the summer with the same results. A big thank you to the servers for going the extra mile!

We visited on 1⁄21 to celebrate my son’s birthday.(His choice of restaurant because he wanted seafood.) We have probably been to a Joe’s two or three times total. Previous experiences were okay. This is experience was so bad we’ll never set foot in one of them again. The place was fairly empty. We were seated and about a minute or so later our server Nathan came by to take our drink order. He brought that back(got that part right) and gave us a few more minutes to figure out what we wanted to eat. When he came back my husband asked for the draft beer special of the night. Nathan said he had to check, because he thought that was only on Tuesday. We had to point out the massive table top advertisement for the Thursday special. Then he took our order. One appetizer(sampler platter). One Crab Cake dinner. Two original steampots, one with corn and potatoes, the other with fries and hushpuppies. It’s a pretty easy order. They don’t have a big menu, and we didn’t ask for anything odd or off-menu. Nathan leaves. Many minutes later a woman(Julie, who was the manager there) and another woman showed up at our table with our dinners. Nathan was at another table with some other customers. Uh — we ordered an app, and we expected to get that before our dinners. Julie apologized and said she’d look back in the kitchen for it and we say no way. We don’t want an appetizer now that our dinners are here. They served us, left, and Julie came back with a coupon for a free app the next time we came in.(I’m thinking to myself, I don’t want to come back.) Oh, and here’s the kicker on that so-called free app. The card says: 100% On The House Please enjoy a FREEAPPETIZER* (and now here’s all the teeny tiny asterisk print) *Present this card to receive a free appetizer(value up to $ 7.99) with the purchase of one adult entrée. Not valid with any other offer or discount. Tax and gratuity not included. So, first of all, it’s not free. It’s going to cost me about $ 30 to get my «free» appetizer. But it gets better. Of the 13 appetizers on their menu, guess how many we can get with this card? One. A bowl of soup or chowder. If we want a real appetizer(like we were trying to buy) we’ll have to pay several dollars more. For that FREEAPPETIZER. Seriously. How awful and cheap of a restaurant are you? As we start to eat, I look over at my son’s steampot — he ordered the fries and hushpuppies. Did he get them? Nope. Nothing. Seriously? This is a standard order. My husband had to get up and walk over to where Julie was and ask about that, too. I guess Nathan was over there and heard as well. Julie brought the basket over, apologizing again. Whatever. You know who never apologized? Nathan. He came back ONCE from the time he took our order, well after we’d already had most of the meal, and the second time was to deliver the bill. No apologies, no nothing. Here’s the problem. The prices are super high because of the no tipping thing. So we got screwed doubly because had the prices been lower and we had been able to tip, we wouldn’t have tipped a damn thing. Because apparently at this restaurant, no tipping means the staff doesn’t have to give a damn. This meal was $ 93. Seriously. I could have gone to a higher quality restaurant and spent that much and gotten better service, better food.(And the food was average at best, and very little of it.) My son was disappointed. We’ll never come back here again. Ever. Never. Again.

They are a no tips required or accepted restaurant. Although the food was pretty good they have decreased the portion sizes and raised the prices. I understand raising prices to pay the servers. However, it creates a concern for the quality of service they will provide. Our food was just okay today. I’m not a seafood lover so I had the ribeye and corn. The ribeye was beyond well done despite the«medium» request and the corn was almost refrigerator cold. My husband and I ate at different times due to me having to wait for my order. The second attempt was much better and our server Anna was great The manager came over and had conversation with us he was a nice guy.

Poor excuse for a seafood restaurant. 90% of the menu is fried. The prices are outrageous($ 15.00 for a kids chicken strip meal). My crab cake, which was supposed to be made from scratch was flat, burnt and cold. The battered fish was on par with a low budget coney. The place was mostly empty at 7:00 in the evening. That tells me a lot. We won’t be back.

My experience was good last time I was there… HOWEVER. I brought home some food. and I took a bite and there was a soft piece of PLASTIC in it. Luckily I felt it and pulled it out. It could have been easly mistaken as a rough piece of meat.but.it was plastic. So… I wouldn’t be eating there again.

I stopped here for a quick lunch. My crabcake caesar salad was delish. The service was barely serviceable, considering that the place was completely empty. I can’t imagine what the service is like when the place is full!

I had been there many times before and it was fine, but my husband had never been there so we went. It was ok, I think red lobster is so so much better. I like baked potatoes and salads with my seafood not fries and slaw. However the slaw is good. The coconut shrimp is good but the sauce is nasty, they need a piña colada sauce. My husband liked his shrimp but did not like the fish or scallops. The waitress was great however, kept the drinks filled and watched us closely to see if we needed anything. Prices fair.

After reading the reviews, I was SO apprehensive to come here –already had a date set so didn’t really have a choice. I had a wonderful experience. It was not very packed but our server was very friendly and kept our drinks full. Ordered a steam pot for 2 and everything tasted great. Filled me up for sure. Fries, hush puppies, crab, lobster, shrimp, and sausage all were cooked well. Glad I gave this place a shot.

My husband and went with our son. We decided a Monday night would be good so we didn’t have to wait for a table. Hubby and I split the steam pot for two. It came out cold… The crab had hardly any meat in them. The sausage and potatoes were SO salty we couldn’t eat them. We had Malinda for a server and had to find her for our bill. Not impressed at all.

I must say how excited I was to come here. It has been so long and I ALWAYS love the food. This time I got extremely upset. Food was mediocre, service was completely awful and they put us in the worst spot to sit in. Freezing blowing winds coming from the windows. Luckily there was a waitress behind us who at least made it possible for this review to have two stars instead of one. If you do decide to come here, be site you do not have Jazmyne as your waitress. We will not be returning here.

Kind of teetering between a two and a three with this place. Think of it as a 2.5. Really though, when you’re wondering about going to a place, a 2.5 or a 3 isn’t really going to make or break your decision. At about 3pm on a Saturday with the restaurant only about a quarter full, I came in with my drop-dead gorgeous girlfriend(yeah the one in the picture, slag off, mate) and her parents. Basically, expect to wait. And wait. And wait a little bit more, even. And then wait. The food that came was hot though, so there’s that at least. The portions here really are a fair size, so don’t let the seemingly super high prices scare you away. The food tastes a bit above average, but the slow ass kitchen and negligent waitressing keeps this place from being one worth frequenting. Oh, did I mention my father-in-law(oh, i went there) had a little itty bitty teeny weeny snail in his food? Yeah, no, he didn’t order snails to eat… I did appreciate the ridiculously eclectic music here. Classic rock, indie rock, alternative, hip-hop, boy bands… they have it all. But hey, this is a restaurant, not a damn night club.

If you like to sit outside listen to obnoxious music, kids screaming, and bat flies away from your food while eating then this is the place for you. Our drinks were terrible and under poured — basically no alcohol. The food came before we even got plates and silverware. We ordered a steamed pot and bucket for three people, the bill was $ 87. I don’t know how this place is still in business. We went to Panera bread after because we were all still hungry and we’re not fat people. I’m really nervous about the post that mentioned food poisoning.

Ate here last night and I used the bathroom beforehand and the smell was horrendous! When I washed my hands I found out why… I reached for paper towel out of the automatic dispenser and there was a trash can directly below it that someone vomited in and all over the lid. Obviously, it was pretty disgusting. Why we still stayed and ordered is beyond me. I had a mediocre(at best) fish & chips. I’ll give a star due to the friendly service. I didn’t have the heart to tell the staff about the restroom. I would feel too bad about whomever would be on clean up duty.

This is another one of those places that I cannot understand how they stay in business. My sister twisted my arm into going here three different times because she had coupons. Each time was worse than last. Bad service, bad food, loud and obnoxious music, and Oh, food poisoning on the last visit. Never again.
