Went here expecting something like the old cubbys not even close, everything on the menu was over priced for one ordered the chicken for family tried to order sides and guess what, the were out of all of the soul food so went home with very expensive chicken which was my great but just ok, should of went to KFC!

Burgers are good. Steak sandwich is good. Fries are good. Good size portions — lots of meat. Expensive. Milkshakes are bad. Cash only They make when ordered so it took about 15 minutes to get our food.

We fell in love with the food when they had the Serious Soul venue in Federal Way, and we are SO pleased to see them flourishing here in Auburn. The food is real and good. If you’re looking for fast, go somewhere else — they cook from scratch and it takes time, but man, oh man, is it ever worth it! The fried chicken is delicious, and the burger patty is made by hand using real beef, and is hands-down the best burger we’ve had since we moved here over a decade ago! We can’t recommend this place highly enough!

Food was fresh, good prices for the amount you get. Very friendly service! Husband kids and I ate here for lunch for the first time. Fried chicken, chicken strips, red beans and rice, greens, cornbread, cheeseburgers, corn dogs and fries. All food was a hit for our family. More to try next time!

She, being the cashier & cook, did warn us and said it was going to at least 20 mins after taking our order. It was worth the wait. The fried chicken is light and fluffy. I would definitely try a piece. If you’re from Louisiana, the catfish will remind you of home — good and it was served hot. Their signature dish should be the beef brisket — hands down the best beef brisket sandwich we’ve ever tasted. We are looking forward to the next trip to try the pulled pork.

This is for the New Cubby’s that just opened this October, 2014. I did go there the other night. I am afraid its not along the same line as our original Cubby’s…but, I did order a Fried Chicken meal for my mom and a potato salad. I have to say my mom talked for 2 days how good the chicken was. She said she had not tasted chicken like it in a long, long time. The potato salad seemed home made but just wasn’t my style. I am just so used to my moms. The young lady that took my order was very friendly and enthusiastic. I will go back to try something else just on her friendliness and appreciation alone… and the Fried Chicken. :)

I have experienced better and I have had worse heck Mc. Ds is still here. the place looks like it has seen better days and times . the food was good I had a double bacon cheese with all the fixing but pickles with fries . I saw that they had shakes so I added peanut butter for the flavor and sucked it down. the burger was made just how I liked it with a little pink and the fries were not over cooked . the area that it is in is run down and really busy being just off a highway and being on one of the busier roads of Auburn . if in that area and wanting another shake I will visit here rather than the McD across the street.
