Waffle House

In the area of Virginia where I live now, it’s roughly a 30 – 40 minute drive for Waffle House. Further than I’m gonna drive basically…
I was in Auburn for the weekend and we saw the Waffle House beckoning, so I convinced a friend to go with me.
Got the all-​star breakfast… So good. Let’s take a journey through the items and their respective qualities:
1. Waffle — crowd pleaser! I love Waffle House waffles. Hot enough the butter just melts on. Add some maple syrup and just apply to face!
2. Bacon/​eggs/​toast — I grouped these since they’re basically what you’d expect. Very good
3. Coffee — mmmm Waffle House knows their coffee. Delicious. Add some cream, you’re in flavor country!
4. Hash brown — Sad to say, this was the only subpar item during the meal. I thought they were pretty bad and hadn’t decided if it was me or not when my friend said ‘these taste like toilet water’ confirming their mediocrity.
Such a great experience. I looooove the Waffle House!

Great breakfast this morning at the Waffle House. The atmosphere was okay, but the customer service really made it a plus. The needed to make sure the floor was cleaned a little better and condiments topped off but beside that everything was okay.

Yep, a trip to the South is not complete without a requisite visit to Waffle House. Each time it seems to be a little less amazing than I remembered — perhaps b/​c I am not still in college, or totally buzzed from a night out. It does provide a valuable public service though, being open 24÷7÷365!

Didn’t change my religion… But nothing much to report either way… it’s a Waffle House in Auburn, AL.

This was my 12 year old’s idea for breakfast. He was fascinated with the signs that seemed to be everywhere on our drive down from Atlanta.
A busy place, but the service didn’t lack because of it. The food was pretty good and fairly quick. I was actually in the mood for lunch, but this wasn’t a bad choice.
Our waitress Ramona stopped often to see if we needed anything and to chat a bit.

Been here three times. All three times, they saw us and ignored us.
