I wasn’t expecting much, but the food was very good! If you like American/​Chinese food at reasonable prices… you gotta try this place!

The best Chinese food around. I recently moved to Pensacola and every time I returned to Auburndale to visit I demanded we went to Freddy’s.

My second time here and forAmerican Chinese goes its typical. Food is fresh and so far nothing I’ve had tasted «rancid».Egg rolls aren’t greasy so that’s a plus. Prices are decent and I will go definitely go back again mainly since the location is close to my home.

This place (it’s the same place at the same address, but spelled with a Y, not ie) only got a second star because one member of the family thinks it’s tolerable. Chinese food is the specialty, with a nod towards American barbecue on the side. We have not tried the latter. Several months of sampling the Chinese fare, however, has yielded a lot of overly salty and overly sweet dishes as well as some containing rancid meat. I think a food inspector’s visit is overdue as a result. Anything fried is OVER fried to the point of being inedible. It doesn’t help that some of the cooking is often done by a woman distracted by trying to provide child care at the same time.
We won’t bother with this place again. The family member who finds it tolerable will have to get his on the sly.
