This is a hidden gem, even though it’s not very hidden it is right off of kings highway. I love this place. I go walking here as much as I can. The path around the lake is exactly 1 mile. Beautiful setting(turtles, ducks, geese lots of them, the big trees). It is not overcrowded.

I love this park and often forget that it exists as I rarely find myself in the immediate area. I have managed to get there recently, however, and have enjoyed running a few laps around the lake. It’s clean and maintained very well. Very scenic. Despite being so close to the Black Horse Pike, it’s actually very peaceful and relaxing.

Haddon Lake park is bounded by the towns of Haddon Heights, Audubon and Mount Ephraim. People visit this park to go jogging, walking, take the kids to the playground, have a picnic, etc. They also allow fishing(trout stocked, need license). The lake is shallow/has no current but the water doesn’t appear to be stagnant. I believe bass & sunfish is also to be found but I can’t confirm. I have seen quite a few turtles in the lake. It’s a failry small park, I usually enter the park off of E Lake Drive in Audubon. I use it to go jogging. You can ride a bike but it is best for pedestrian traffic. Most of the path is is paved, less than 2 miles worth. Quite often I run into the ‘three women chatting and monopolizing the entire path without any regard for the single file courtesy’ syndrome… «Move b*itch, get out the way» comes to mind. The park also has a small stretch of wooded ‘cross country trail’ that is nicely shaded from the heat in the summer. From the Audubon side you can choose to cross over Kings Highway & continue to Station Avenue. Along the way you will come across the ‘McLaughlin-Norcross Memorial Dell & Amphitheater’. This amphitheater often hosts folk bands, charity/kids events… very family oriented. You will also see people practicing Tai-Chi at the amphitheater. You will also come across the ‘Multi-War Honor Roll’ stone memorial. Throughout the park I have noticed markers that appear to signify a Disc Golf course but I don’t know if it is active. Overall, I like this park for jogging since it is so close to my home.
