This is typical buffet style restaurant. There is plenty of parking. The dinner always has more options and costs more. Both lunch and dinner include a fountain drink or hot tea. The service is good. The food is all average chinese/american buffet. There are rows and rows of choices. The coconut shrimp is served only at dinner and is absouley fantastic. It is creamy and flavorful and loaded with shrimp. There is a large dessert bar, including hard serve ice cream.

This used to be our favorite Chinese restaurant. When we first started going there, we were so impressed by the variety and freshness of the food, and we didn’t experience the usual«sickness» you get from most Chinese food. But the last three times we have eaten there, the food was less than appetizing and definitely not so fresh. The one item that seems as good as it used to be is the crab rangoon, which is yummy. But some of the items are no longer available from the buffet, such as the bean sprouts which used to be my favorite. Today’s visit was us giving them one last chance, but the food was a huge disappointment. I didn’t finish my first plate, let alone go back for seconds, which is virtually unheard of at a buffet. I don’t know if there is a new cooking staff, but this restaurant is going downhill fast. I’m sad to say it, but I don’t think we’ll be back.

We went in for lunch and found it very good. They have the typical Chinese selections, everything I had was warm and fresh and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Standard Chinese buffet. What they did have that is not standard was several flavors of real ice cream for dessert! And an apple pie roll dessert that was also a treat(again, not standard Chinese but very good!) It was clean, spacious and the servers courteous and responsive. Food was hot — did not appear to be left over from lunch, as other reviews have implied.

It’s your standard Americanese buffet. Nothing spectacular to write home about. Staff were very friendly.

Only word to describe this place is TERRIBLE. The dinner buffet had clearly been sitting there since lunch. There was not one item hot or edible. After only several bites we left for fear of food poisoning.

Of all the choices in the area the Great Wall is the best in my opinion. Just look at the parking lots of the various choices and this one is the busiest. Lots of choices on their buffet, they try to keep it filled and do a pretty good job at it. The staff are attentive and keep your table cleared off as well as your drinks topped off all for a reasonable fee.

Interesting restaurant. I’ve just moved to Maine from Texas so I will admit my taste in food is different that that of people here but I was pleasantly surprised with 2 of the dishes. When in doubt go simple and you’ll hopefully find something good. If you’re looking for better food look elsewhere but if you’re just in search of something new or on a budget this place is decent. Word of caution: their sodas are completely watered down; order water.

There hasn’t been a single time I visited the Augusta Great Wall and not felt sick afterward. Once I actually did get sick… vomitus womitus blarrrrghhhhh. Each time I went I got the buffet, and the food tasted okay… nothing great, but not putrid. However, stomach pain… oh the discomfort! I’m obviously either too kind or too stupid, because I dont get turned off of a place from a single bad experience, because I believe in second chances. And sometimes, even third ones. I won’t be going back for a fourth… that one might be my ticket to the h-o-s-p-i-t-a-l.
