Hubby and I got take out from this wonderful place a little while ago and loved it. While our first choice for Ethiopian food is Queen of Sheba, we were in a rush and just wanted to eat at home. Now i will admit that we had some communication problems with whoever answered the phone, this resulted in my husband just driving there to order take out. I know this sounds inconvenient, but it’s only a few minutes from home and we really wanted Sambusas and a vegetarian platter! This actually worked out in the restaurant’s favor and here’s why: my husband was greeted warmly by a young man who assisted with translation, selection, and also made recommendations for our next meal. While waiting for our food other staff warmly greeted my husband, introduced themselves, and talked about the restaurant! Awesome customer service! The food was fresh, tasty, and fast. The portions are not shareable size(at least for us) so if you normally share meals, like most do with Ethiopian food, you may want to consider getting one platter each. On the whole, Eatopia has kind and accommodating staff with a chef making a relatively quick, savory food at fair prices. We will definitely be returning to dine-in and take out!

First time experiencing Ethiopian food and came here based upon a colleague’s recommendation. It was well worth it and we will return.

It’s a nice family-run place with really good food and friendly people. I’ve had several of their dishes, and haven’t met one I didn’t care for yet. There was a heating problem in the building, so they’ve been closing at 8 instead of 9, but the owner assured me that they’ll resume closing at 9 when the weather gets warmer.

Must agree with the earlier review by Dina H. I’ve been a fan of Ethiopian food for years, and have frequented districts in Los Angeles and Washington D.C. where this fare was plentiful, the competitors striving to outdo each other. I’ve also sampled Ethiopian cuisine all around New York City and in my home state of North Carolina where it’s very hard to find, and I would drive an hour out of my way to taste some. With her fresh ingredients, meticulous preparation, and fantastic injera, Chef Seble has topped them all at EATOPIA. The location may be hidden away, but it’s well worth finding. The only thing I miss is the traditional wicker basket/table settings which are colorful and quaint. This place is aesthetically a bit spartan. But you will be made to feel like family, and then you will be absolutely delighted by the food.

We have eaten at several Ethiopian restaurants in Denver, Aurora and Boulder. Eatopia is the best we’ve had so far. We had a vegetarian sampler with seven or eight items, and all of them were very tasty. Plus(and this is a big part of what makes an Ethiopian restaurant good), the enjera was perfect.
