Conveniently located across the parking lot, I HAD to drop by after I was done with Luigi’s Pizza & Fun Center. Compared to other ice cream places, La Michoacana is cheap and delicious! There are tons of ice cream flavors, none of which has a sign to let you know what flavor it is, but I supposed that’s the beauty of this place. You start a conversation with the ice cream lady and she lets your try all the flavors. I must say, the birthday cake, which I don’t remember how to pronounce the name of anymore, and the guava were 2 of my favorites. I think a scope of ice cream on a regular cone is about $ 1.89. They also have other goodies like root beer float, deep fried pie wheel things, Frito pie, and funnel cakes! There’s a bathroom and a nice area to sit and have your dessert. CASHONLY!

I’ve been here few times and I love that place. They have mexican yogurt made fresh with fresh fruit, awsome slice cream selection with rare flavors. Kids friendly and make them happy. I love that place.

Everything was ok except for waiting way too long. I waited there like 20 minutes and all I wanted was a popsicle.

I like any place where you are compelled to try something new. Someone else mentioned Oberweis — this is a great alternative. The flavors seem exotic — Tequila, Kaluha(which is awesome) — and no, they don’t all involve alcohol flavors. Plus fruit pops like Mango and chile and warm snacks like churros, frito pie and cheetos in cheese sauce.(It’s not health food store — :). It’s a great way to break out of the typical ice cream, snack run and force the kids and yourself to try something you don’t normally have.

If you have a hankering for ice cream, but don’t want to pay Oberweis prices, every person in Aurora should stop on by. With a bi-lingual staff, they can help anyone in both Spanish and English. My family and I have been going here for the past year, and have never been disappointed.

I had higher expectations from this chain. I guess the stores have different ownership. The store doesnt have all of the flavors as the other stores. They charge 1.39 for a scoop of Ice cream but still enforce the $ 5.00 minimum purchase to use a debit card. The owner needs to talk to his merchant services. That was the whole point of the new law that was passed a few years back.
