Never heard of this place till we arrived in Denver and came here simply because it was the only place that was open nearby where we stayed… what a blessing in disguise! We came here in the wee hours of the night(glad they’re open late) and they had just what our starving bellies yearned for. I got one of their newer items — the Country Sausage Sidewinder Scramble. This meal was filthy GOOD! It was a bowl of scrambled eggs mixed in with slices of sausage links covered in Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese and gravy. It was topped with their seasoned curly fries. This was also served with your typical made-from-stratch buttermilk pancakes. The presentation was good and the food was equally good. There was only one cook and one waitress when we went in but they were a hard working bunch and provided great service to all the tables. I’d say this place is one-tier above your typical Denny’s and would come back if I lived here.

I ordered my usual Village Inn breakfast, eggs over easy, bacon, country potatoes, and the Orange Crêpe… but, at the same time I ordered my drinks, Large Tomato Juice & Coffee … which took a long time to get and we continued to wait for our food. After finishing the Large Tomato Juice, we kept waiting… here it is, right around noon and there were very few people here for lunch. That’s a big tip off that something is wrong. One waitress for the largest room? Even with only a couple of tables everything took forever. My food when it finally arrived was not hot, it wasn’t cold, but it had obviously sat under a heat lamp which will barely keep it warm. I really like the food, but I’m wondering how this place can even be here with this number of customers during lunch hour. Usually most good places are very busy from 11 am till about 2 pm, then a lull until 4 or 5 when things pick up again. Might as well close this place as I can’t see how money is made here. The food is fine but the service sucks!

My husband and my kids Love going here, we always have great service. The wait staff knows us by name and always know how to treat their customers right. We have been to other VI’s in the area but we never get the same service.

Eat at this location weekly. Food is great, management is great, wait staff is great and friendly. I also worked in a village in and let’s face it, food is all the same. The only real variable in this equation is the atmosphere. I cannot count the number of village inns I’ve walked out of in aurora and never returned for shit service or rude/akward atmosphere. Yet, I continue to return to this one every week. You can’t expect exotic five star cuisine from village Inn anywhere on earth. But I never have to worry about bad service or bad food.

I will be real honest I used to work in a village in in this place is just mediocre. Every time I have gone and I’ve either had a five-star experience where I miss working at Village Inn even though I have a fully functioning career that I love or I go in and I have the worst service and worst food ever. I would say whether it was daytime or nighttime and if that made a difference but sadly it doesn’t make a difference because I always go at night or used to be a night server at village in and then I used to be a day server at Village Inn and I know that it’s a different culture however great service and great food can always be produced. One thing that I suggest this village and do is make sure that their tables are being biased even if there’s a rush somebody’s out at least a manager busing tables so customers don’t have to look at it bother eating their meals. That would be what bothers me most and I would’ve never been a server who allowed that to happen or manager who allowed that to happen. However they still get three stars because I will keep going because I love village in and I love the company and I agree with how they make their food! And their coffee is delicious :-)

I have been going to this Village Inn since I was teenager in the 90’s. When I came back from the military in ’05 I decided to go here for my first dinner back in Denver. The food was okay, but the environment was good and so was the staff. I few weeks ago my brother and I went in there to grab a bite with my daughter. When we get there the place was virtually empty, but it was 9:30 on a Monday morning, so that’s forgivable. When I sat down I ordered Cheese sticks for my daughter, an omelet for me and my bro got chicken sandwich. I ordered coffee and when the waiter brought my creamer I found a used creamer with a splenda rapper in it. When I asked the waiter about it, he said«I work at Denny’s most of the time, so this is my first day. I am just helping out. I grab creamers out of bin and put them in a cup.» I told him not to worry, just tell the boss, so he can fix it. I overheard him tell someone what happened, and I heard the boss say«so, this happens all the time». So, I guess if something is wrong, we don’t fix it, just say«my bad», and move on. When the food came out my daughter’s cheese sticks were cold(That is the norm at most VI’s in Aurora, so always inspect kids cheese sticks, to see if they were cooked or not left under the heat lamp), and it looked like cold cheese that had not been melted, but my girl liked it and I figured if she likes it I am not going to worry. My bros meal was good and my meal was correct. I started to eat my omelet and halfway through the meal my omelet had hair underneath it… I stopped eating and flagged down the waiter. I said dude, I am not a pain, but please just take the food. He saw the hair and was very apologetic and ran it to the manager. The manager came out and said in a monotone voice, «Sorry, this happens all the time» the same BS answer he gave before. He then said, «I will comp it, okay?» I said I don’t want free food, I just want food without hair in it. The manager walked away and that was it. I spoke to my waiter,(Who by the way was awesome. He had a wicked Mohawk), I said dude we are gonna finish and bail, can you tell me when you work at Denny’s so I get the killer service I get? He said yeah, and I got his schedule. I went to pay for my bro’s meal and when I went up, the manager acted like he didn’t know me and asked me «how was your meal?» I said, really? It was bad. Manager said, «Okay». I have not been back since, and I eat at VI1 to 2 times a week. I recommend the one off of Havana in Aurora, they have great service. Let’s be honest It’s VI and you shouldn’t expect 5 star caliber food, but it should at least be eatable, and not contain the protein strands from another human beings DNA. Also, the manager should care a little more. I find it sad when a temp worker says more to me about my issues than a manager, who is vested in this company. So give it a shot and see if your experience is different. But please look to see if your grilled cheese is just that, GRILLED.

Come on, it’s Village Inn, it really doesn’t deserve more than 3 stars. The service was efficient but a little on the chip on her shoulder side. After hearing about the new scrambles I decided on the«Country Sausage Skillet». I mean, how can you go wrong with country potatoes, sausage, two eggs, bacon, and gravy? It should have been called the«Sodium Skillet». Geez. It was one of the saltiest things I’ve ever eaten. Hopefully I don’t cry anytime soon, but if I do I’ll bottle it and sell it as Gatorade. And none of that G2 stuff — the real deal. Oh, maybe call ahead. Not for seating but to see if the Optimist Club is meeting. That way you can mentally prepare for people droning on about God knows what or you can decide to goto Denny’s.

Upscale Denny’s/IHOP in a business-hotel-near-the-airport strip. Service is friendly and attentive. I got a «skillet» — bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, pancakes. The only disappointment was that the potatoes were potato cubes instead of actual shredded hash browns(which are elsewhere on the menu).
