Manager was extremely rude. I needed to get my measurements for a suit jacket and she refused to measure me until I set up an account for the wedding I was attending. I finally convinced her to do it for $ 5. She reluctantly did it while making sarcastic and snarky comments. I recommend going to the Walmart suit section before going here. Definitely won’t be coming back. UPDATE: Unfortunately, my brother rented our suits from Al’s as well, so I had to go back. Nothing changed. The lady didn’t even know how to do my measurements. I had to explain to her that she was doing them wrong. She was so incompetent it’s not even funny.

Had to rent a tux for the symphony fundraiser. I was surprised to find the actual cost almost double what I anticipated from their website, but the real disappointment was that the tux did not fit properly. Even though they took the measurements, when I went for ’”he final fitting” I found that the sleeves were well past the wrist, almost halfway to the knuckles. When I asked to have it corrected, I was informed that they would not make alterations unless it was a minimum of 1.5″… which would have made the sleeves too short. That would have been worse since the white shirt cuffs would be even more obvious. $ 150 for one night rental… and they did a poor job of fitting. I won’t use this store again.

The bride’s mother picked this place for our tuxedos for my brother’s wedding. I lucked out and everything fit, but the rest of the groom’s party all ended up with poor fittings. The prices were incredibly high. $ 180 for a tux rental for the weekend. Sheesh! And with a crummy fit as well — disappointing indeed. A better bet would be to go to the Men’s Warehouse. They have a deal that with your rentals, the groom gets to keep his tux or buy it at half price or something like that. And they actually know how to fit you.

I recently got married and decided to check out Al’s Formal Wear for my tux rental. I’ve been in a number of friends’ weddings and after having to deal with unprofessional staff and poorly fitting tux rentals from Men’s Wearhouse, wanted to try another place but still didn’t want to spend too much. I went into this location and met Bill, who appears to be the main proprietor as he’s been there every time I’ve gone in, including weekends. Very friendly guy and we found a jacket that fit me well(I’m really slim so that can be a challenge). I picked out what I wanted and was happy with the look and options. Al’s Formal Wear is a similar price as MW as far as I can tell… MW does have more selection so you may be able to get away with spending a little less, but AFW has a deal where the groom’s tux is free and you also get a discount if you pay the deposit up front, which made them pretty reasonable as well. About $ 130/tux is what my groomsmen paid. Not dirt cheap, but reasonable. After the order, Bill offered to order my tux right away so we could make sure the measurements were good before the final order, which was good because we had some tweaks. The week before the wedding I went in and unfortunately both the shirt and jacket were off in sleeve length, but Bill ordered a couple more of each right away and had them in the next day. I went back and left with a great-fitting tux. The 5-star rating is for this particular location, as Bill was very friendly, remembered me each time I came in, called me to let me know which groomsmen were late in getting fitted, and went out of his way to make sure everything fit for the big day. I couldn’t have been happier with his service. Rating AFW overall, however, I’d probably have to go down to a 3 or a 4 rating. As I mentioned, the first shirt/jacket I got was incorrectly sized, and some of my groomsmen went to other locations and weren’t too impressed with the service. Still, if you have the opportunity to have Bill handle your tux rental, I’d highly recommend this AFW location.
