Sensei Chip is a wonderful instructor. I am very glad that my daughter has begun going to this class(north location) in addition to the classes held in the south location. She has grown as an individual physically, and in terms of cognitive development(focus, concentration, attention etc) since she began learning karate from Sensei Chip in September 2013. Sensei Chip is dedicated to his children; he puts his heart and soul into training his kids and making them the best they can be. He is a no nonsense person, who calls it as it is. He does not like to waste time or fool around in his class. His honesty and diligence in training his kids is wonderful to see. I could not be happier with the classes and/or my daughter in Sensei Chip’s class. He is dedicated, hardworking and it shows. Take a chance, visit his south or north location, you will not be disappointed.

I’ve never practiced Martial Arts before, but my son wanted to join, so we went to Sensei Chip’s south location to see if he would like it. It turns out my son really got into his classes, so when he opened the North location, we started to join him up there. I mention we, because after watching his class and how he teaches, I also joined. The North class is unique in that it is both adult and youth class at the same time. 100% of the regular class attendees are parent and child. We all get an excellent workout and the kids also have a great time. The location is easy to get to, and even though it is a 9AM class, the 2 hours of instruction is the perfect amount of time, to get into the class and have time to practice. Even my 5 year old really enjoys the full 2 hours. Currently this is a beginner Shotokan class, so it is primarily Kata at this point, but as he teaches in at the south location, the class will eventually include sparring and self-defense.
